We have a maintenance contract with them. They come out twice a year. We are very satisfied. We noticed them when we were new to the area. That was one of the options we had. We called them. They came. They were prompt and efficient and very helpful with what you need. They know what they are talking about.

I don't remember the cost. They are reliable and we can count on them when we need them.

I have been very pleased with their service for many years.

It went very well. They knew what they were doing. They answered any questions we had and haven't needed to come back out. We did get an estimate for another service and there's was comparable but we went with Hoover because they have been who we've used in the past and we felt confident that they would do a good job.

Great experience. I Asked for a quote to have a cold air return installed and it was a little pricy in my opinion. That being said, every other aspect of my dealings with this company have been flawless thus far, from the representatives who answer phone calls to the technicians who complete the work.

They are very professional and very knowledgeable. I see their trucks all over the place, so a lot of people use them.

The negatives: When they identified the problem as an Ignitor, I felt relieved it wasn't more. But then he said it would cost $450. Here's the problem. When asked why so expensive, the rep said the manufacturer never released patents and the part was expensive. I googled the part and found it online for $35. When shown to him the story changed. Now the charge for the part was $317 plus a service call charge of over $100. The charge for the part included installation and inspection of the system. The home office did not mention a service call charge. It was clear we were being give a pitch. I can only conclude there is a guideline (or commission) on how much they are to charge for any service. There was either a lack of communication or just lack of honesty. We had them complete the service as it is 20 some degrees outside. And I understand there should be a fee for inspection. I just feel the fee was too high, and was certainly not explained well. If you use this company, just expect that the minimum fee to examine your furnace will be over $400 (plus the cost for the parts).

Hoover Heating & Air Conditioning came and diagnosed what they thought was the issue and that a particular part needed replaced. They were unable to get the part from Sears, but recommended that I call and try. Sears told me that my warranty had actually expired the day before and that they could get me the part for free, but they would have to come install it and I would have to pay for the service call. The cost of the service call certainly covered the cost of the part. I appreciate Hoover Heating & Air Conditioning working with me and giving me advice about how to work with Sears and their honesty in getting this resolved.

They were very good. They were cheaper than others. They were very good with following up and coordinating as I needed to get somebody to put in some propane and stuff like that. They were very professional.

Quick to indentify the issue, solve the problem and gave honest suggestion

Salesman was punctual and professional. He answered all my questions. He went over all the options in detail. He wrote out an agreement the same day. The price was all inclusive and slightly less than another estimate that I received. He was not pushy; he did not pressure me. The office staff is extremely nice and helpful. Someone always answered the phone. Anne always called me back right away, and kept me up to date with what was happening. Unfortunately, the unit was on back order, so they were not able to install the unit on the original delivery date, but they re-scheduled for 6 days later. I was not home when the serviceman came, but the woman who was housesitting for me said that the lead employee was professional, considerate and helpful. He went over the main points of operation. When I came home, the house was in perfect order. The unit looks and operates as described. The unit is not too obtrusive; it operates much more quietly than a window unit. The remote control is self-explanatory. I am so grateful to have an air conditioned bedroom this summer. The servicemen left a card asking for a critique of my experience with Hoover; the owner was interested in my feedback. I would definitely use Hoover again.

We have used them for a while. They are reliable and are usually pretty punctual. They did some maintenance for the central air and did some work on the water heater as well. We have used them on and off for about eight years. We would use them again in the future.

The front desk was very professional in scheduling our appointment. In addition, they called to confirm the day before, just as they said they would. One of the techs came out (not a sales guy). He looked at the ducts and returns throughout the house, measured the current furnace and looked at the current venting. He explained what would need to be changed for the high efficiency furnace, including re-routing the ducting so it wouldn't be under the deck (a building code issue). He also explained why he was recommending a larger furnace than the one the builder put in. He left me with several quotes and the related product information. He also left a listing of 12 references - and told me which ones had the furnace I was leaning towards. I discussed the Consumer Reports repair records with him - unlike some, who dismissed the information. He mentioned the electronic air cleaners don't work very well (agreed - we have a lot of dust) and recommended a conversion kit instead of buying a whole new air filter system. He also said the whole house humidifier we have is fine (others told me to replace it) - that there are hardly any moving parts, and other than the plastic housing cracking, it should be fine. He was not a high pressure sales guy, he was very knowledgeable (he was the sixth or seventh quote I got so I'd learned quite a bit by then) and was also just nice. The work was scheduled, they gave us a reminder call the day before. They called that morning to say they were running slightly late and arrived at the adjusted time. They had two technicians come out. They put towels down on the floors and put booties on. They were able to completely replace the new furnace including the new ducting and filter conversion kit by mid-afternoon. The new vents look good on the outside, and the old vents were capped (per our request - it was too cold to remove them and try to replace siding). They followed up with a survey and a thank you note signed by the employees. Nice touch! We are very pleased with our new furnace. Previously, our upstairs was 2 to 3 degrees colder than the first floor, and our newly finished basement was even colder. He had told us not to expect the new furnace to solve it entirely but that the variable would help. He was right - we are now the same or 1 degree difference. It's a significant improvement. The new furnace is very quiet, and while the fan runs all the time, we don't hear it unless we listen for it. We should save on our gas bill, but due to an estimated bill this last month we can't tell yet. Surprisingly, the electric bill was $10 cheaper, which Hoover told us would probably stay the same (the fan runs all the time but is DC - they set our expectations it would be a wash). As to the new filter, there is noticeably less dust than before. We are very happy with Hoover and will continue to use them in the future.

The whole process was very impressive from a customer service standpoint, which is by no means a given in this economic climate! I phoned and a very professional/helpful woman (I believe Ann was her name) answered the phone and set my appointment. There was a follow-up reminder call a couple of days before the appointment. I also received a call the morning of the appointment informing me that the technician would be about a half an hour late. The technician - John- was very thorough, polite, and helpful. I have already referred Hoover to a friend. I will absolutely use Hoover Heating again in the future.

I spoke with a warm friendly lady, Ann. She was concerned about my health issue's and not having air. They were out in a couple days. I was impressed when John came, on time, professional and he placed shoe coveres over his shoes, to protect my white carpet. I was greatly impressed by this beginning. He gave my friend a tip on how he could help me save some money, and this was done. I would surely have them as a referal and a repeat for me. I am widowed, so I am guarded when new service people enter my home. He was great, and I thank Angie's List for the recommention for this business.

Our A/C was blowing hot air during the weekend of July 4th. We called several HVAC places on Monday, July 5th but no-one was open. Finally, we found Hoover Heating via Angie's List and they were out by late morning that Monday. The technician was very thorough and explained what all my options were. He pointed out that our unit is very old and was potentially leaking freon. He made a pitch for a new A/C install, and though it was likely justified, we opted simply to have him clean the unit and add freon. He answered all my questions and even cleaned out a dead mouse found in a vent. I was very pleased with the level of service and will be calling them again when we are looking to purchase a new A/C unit.

It went very well. The installer was very professional. He arrived on time and was very thorough. He put down drop clothes inside the house where he was walking to keep it clean. He made sure both units were working properly, and cleaned up after himself, both inside and outside of the house.

Hoover kept in very good contact me to let me know exactly when the technician arrived, and he arrived exactly when they had stated. He was very friendly, and had all of the work completed in less than an hour. The work was fantastic. I've used Hoover before and would definitely use them again.

I have been using them for about 25 years. They are neat and polite. They do an excellent job every time they come out. I have had them come out for emergencies in the past. They always come in with little booties to cover their shoes. They are one of my favorite vendors. They are reasonably priced too. I absolutely love them.

I called them, they came out and I was satisfied with them. They were very friendly and they were on time. The quality of work was good and the price was of good value. I don't have much to say about them.

Three men were very punctual, neat, professional, very knowledgeable. They worked very well together and finished the installations in 1 1/2 days. Total clean up and haul away.

The older furnace was found to have small cracks. The technician was very informative about the pros and cons of replacing the furnace (28 years old). He did an inspection of the volume of the house and recommended a furnace smaller than the old one. The company has installed one furnace and an air conditioner for us already.
