Gave Acer only an "average" on punctuality simply because, as others have observed, he often just shows up (in response to a call), with no advance notice. Sometimes quicker than others; it's just unpredictable. I will say that I feel he would show up promptly in an emergency (like a failen tree). We've joke about the fact that he could use a "back office" for his business. Steve and his crew leave the yard in almost pristine shape. They are careful about bringing equipment onsite in such a way as not to disturb plantings (and we have a bunch!). He is willing to discuss methodology and follow our wishes when trimming; he is very collaborative with an owner.

Steve is good at what he does, although he tends to show up unannounced. That doesn't bother us so long as the work has been well planned and his folk don't disrupt anything else that's going on. So far, no issues on that front. When at our house, Steve actually examined some other trees and gave us good advice, even without being asked. He likes his work. All work was done quickly while on site, and his responsiveness was fine given the kind of winter and spring Cleveland has had. We called him a bit too late on the bark beetles and will, in the future, use Acer for periodic inspections of trees and preventative treatment where needed. It was difficult to give a price rating since we couldn't, or at least didn't, get competitive bids, but we weren't shocked and believe the charges were appropriate.
