+ -1 moreThe drive was completed before I expected. The drive looks great but there are a few spots that need to be addressed. I am still waiting for them to follow up. I was out of town when they did the drive. They did call the day before and ask if they could do the drive. In the future I would not allow the work to be completed unless I was there.

Description of Work: They came out to give a quote on my driveway apron after another contractor installed a new one. M.J. Griffith was the first contractor I contacted for a quote. It took them 2 to 3 weeks to respond and only by coming out. They never contacted me by phone or email.

+ -1 moreThey were flexible but not always on time. When they came back to do the second coat they came when it was almost dark. I had some things I wanted to show them from the first coat. They didn't always show up when I thought they would. They did make an effort to correct things right away. The supervisor came out.

+ -1 moreThe clerk who handles reservations is excellent. The crew were superb. The driveway could have used another blacktopping but it's already too high; rather than urge me to do something I couldn't afford at the time, they did a truly beautiful job with what they had. There was a big black handprint left on my white mailbox but I didn't complain to them because clearly the person who did it didn't realize - it was on the back. The actual drive looks like new and they were prompt and very workmanlike.

+ -1 moreThis company was a pleasure to deal with. I've had a lot of work done recently and some other companies weren't as straightforward. The owner came and looked over the job; closer to the time it was done a foreman looked it over again. Since my driveway was not a full day's job, I had to wait until a nearby small job came up. It took a few weeks, but Griffith Paving stayed in touch and let me know when they were coming a few days before they did the job. Their equipment and expertise were fun to watch. Griffith does commercial jobs--mall parking lots, etc. I'd suggest going with such a company rather than a residential only paver. I've had jobs done by driveway specialists in the past and could see the difference. Overall, a great company to work with, and I'm more than happy with the result.
Description of Work: A crew of 4 men re-paved my driveway (1,260 square feet) in about 3 hours. They had an impressive amount of equipment--three trucks, a huge paver (with a worker on each side adjusting the edges), manual and sit-on electric roller machines for flattening the surface. I've had driveways resurfaced before, but never this well. The contract said they would put down 2 inches of asphalt and they did. The original layer was about 1/4 inch--no wonder it was cracked and loose.
