Chippewa Valley Tree Service

This company was hired to remove 5 trees and to leave the wood for us to utilize as fire wood. We came to an agreement with the owner, who owns a saw mill as well, that he could have the bottom portions of the trees in exchange for good firewood from another one of his jobs. They were also hired to grind up 7 stumps for us. In the process of removing trees, they removed a dogwood tree that we never asked them to remove. They claimed that the tree was dead so they removed it as a curtsey. The tree had green leaves on it and was clearly not dead , but having that tree gone made a clear path for the large trucks to get through our yard. How convenient! While providing services for us, they made a deal with the neighbor to remove some of his trees. They didn't have clear access to the neighbors trees, so they took it upon themselves to take large trucks through our yard, and left large ruts in our yard. This tree service also took it upon themselves to use our wheel barrel, breaking it the process, and not fessing up to it until they were asked if they had broken it. Our stumps were not fully ground down all the way, and further damage was done to other parts of our yard. We were promised on multiple occasions that all of our issues would be resolved and that they would deliver the approximately 5 cords of wood that were owed to us. The company did send a couple of guys out to "try" and fix all of the damage that was made to our yard. They brought out dirt that was full of mulch and debris, threw it on the ground, did not level anything off and then threw grass seed and straw over of their "solution." At this point we still have not received the firewood that is owed to us. The owner will no longer answer our calls or return our messages. Almost a month ago I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, because the company was a registered member. At this time, they have not responded to the BBB's complaint and they are no longer registered with the BBB according to their website.
