+ -1 moreM L Scott & Sons was very good. They were very professional. It is a nice group of people working there. They have very nice equipment. We had no problems whatsoever. I would recommend them. They did a very nice job. They cleaned everything up when they were done. It was exactly how my husband wanted.
Description of Work: I hired M L Scott & Sons to put in a patio, make our garage bigger, make our driveway bigger, put in some sidewalks, put in a new drain, and he redid the foundation under the house.

This is a family company and they take a lot of pride in there work. (Last year a grand daughter joined the crew for take your daughter to work day which I thought was cute).

+ 0 moreWe contracted in the winter. He said he would get to it in the spring. We thought that meant the beginning of spring, and they didn't schedule the job until the very end of spring. They were very punctual, they made sure the job was done right. My neighbors have told me what a beautiful driveway I have now! They did a really nice job finishing it. The sidewalk and attachment work were not originally part of our estimate.
Description of Work: They pulled up the old driveway and put in a new one, raised the sidewalk on one side, and attached the brick walkway to the side of the house.

Made effort to do as little collateral damage during installation and cleaned up after every day of work. Very helpful and responsive for any issues I had, even after installation was complete! Worth every penny! I would highly recommend and will be using them to replace garage floor soon. This is a company with a lot of integrity and that is hard to find these days.

+ -1 moreIt might just have been that it was a cold day, but ML didn't seem anxious to want my business. Proposal was simple form with his quote written on it. Proposed cost was about $1500 more than lower estimate obtained while it was less than $1500 below the highest estimate.
Description of Work: Provided bid to correct water infiltration along four walls of basement. Proposed digging down to foundation, reseal with cement plaster followed by tar coat. Replace drain tile and downspouts in excavated area. Backfill with stone to within 12'' of grade and cover with topsoil.

I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY IN A MINUTE, AND HAD IT BEEN EARLIER IN THE YEAR THEY WOULD OF BEEN GREATLY CONSIDERED. OUR WATER PROBLEM PRESENTED ITSELF 8-20-05 MAKING THE MONTH OF SEPT 2005, OUR MONTH TO OBTAIN QUOTES. TIME WAS PUSHING US INTO THE END OF THE SEASON. AGAIN THANK YOU MR. SCOTT FOR EVERYTHING. I COULD TRUST THIS COMPANY TO COMPLETE THE JOB WE NEEDED DONE. THERE WAS NO HIDDEN COSTS OR EXPLANATIONS. HE WAS VERY UPFRONT AND HONEST. WITH WATER COMING IN THE FOUNDATION, WE NEEDED THE TILES CORRECTED THIS YEAR. MR. SCOTT WAS TOTALLY BOOKED AND WAS SCHEDULING INTO 2006 AND COULD NOT HELP US AT THIS TIME. THIS IS A FAMILY OWNED COMPANY THAT ONE COULD TRUST TO COMPLETE A JOB WITH WATERPROOFING AND OR CONCRETE. THANK YOU JANICE AND THE SCOTT FAMILY.

WHEN I CAME HOME I SAW SOMETHING ON MY DOOR, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A PERMIT, BUT INSTEAD THE WHOLE THING WAS DONE! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY WERE HERE. THEY DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP. TWICE I CALLED HIM ABOUT QUESTIONS THAT DAY AND THE NEXT DAY, AND HE CALLED ME RIGHT BACK.
