NORTHERN LIGHTS REMODELING

Description of Work: We used Northern Lights Remodeling for general remodeling. We had to have a custom door made. It was a new metal door in our kitchen.

Description of Work: I had 2 decks removed and replaced with new composite decking. The first one was actually done in June 2011. The second one was done in July 2012. I contracted through Lowes Lorain for these decks. Larry Caughell is the contractor that was assigned to my project in 2011. He came out and measured and got everything going for my deck materials. I was contacted and given a start date. Two guys arrived on the start date. Chris and his helper. They carefully removed the old decking material, cleaned up everything and hauled the debris away. Then they started on the construction of the first deck. It went together quickly and they were done in a week. They cleaned up the work area when they were done. Chris is and excellent deck builder and did a fantastic job on the deck. The following year, this year, 2012, I had another deck replaced. I had it enlarged and modified from the old one. Eveyrthing went the same as it did for the first one. However, due to the hot temp during July, the work went a bit slower. There were also some material issues involved that put it behind, but once everything was taken care of, the deck was completed by the end of July, and it looked fantastic. Chris and Larry offered ideas about how to make the changes I wanted and Chris added his flair to the construction. He even moved my dinner bell that was in the area where part of the new deck went.
