DAVE'S QUALITY APPLIANCE RPR

He came to my home to take care of my fridge. He was on time and came in and said it was my defrosters timer, and to fix it would be very expensive. He charged my $95 for the part and $75 for the service call. He told me that when I came home it would be working. When I came home it was working, and then then next day it was not working again. I asked him if he would just buy the part from me back because I was just going to get a new fridge. He said he would go ahead and take the old fridge from me and buy the part back. 4 months later I still had the fridge. I called and told him I was going to call the BBB. He was there the next day to purchase the part back and to take the fridge away, but in the mean time I had called him several times and each time he gave a day he would be there and then never showed up.

I joined Angie's list to find a reliable appliance repair company in my area. I have had previous poor service from Franks Appliance in that there technicians was over 80 years ld, very slow and appeared to have limited knowledge of what he was doing. I first called Daves Quality Appliance repair on the morning of Thursday December 10, 2015. I got an answering machine telling me how important my call was and to please leave a message. The next morning, Friday 12/11/15 I called back and a man answered, I assume it was Dave. I asked if he worked in my area (Catawba Township) which is about 20 miles from where his shop is. He said yes, but immediately tried to convince me that it would likely would be cheaper to replace the dishwasher. (i.e. he sells repaired used appliances as well I see.) I told him this was a high end GE dishwasher that was only 4 years old. It worked fine one day and then appeared to not have power the next day as the touch botton controls would not light up when touched. He responded that he would call me back that day and schedule an appointment to come out as soon as his technician who does this work came back to the shop. I never received a call back. Monday morning 12/14/15 I called back twice and got the answering machine both times and left a message the second time. To this day, 12/18/15 I never have received a call back. I then called Sears Appliance repair on 12/14/15 and scheduled a repair man for 12/17/15. This repairman was able to fix the problem that day. Total cost $113.00. I would not recommend Daves Quality Appliance Repair to anyone.

Very promt, met appointment time, and had washer repaired and back in operation within 1 hour.

We are very pleased with the service we received. Dave traveled out to a remote area approximately 20 miles from his business location. He was on time and quickly found and replaced a faulty thermostat. The entire job took less than a 1/2 hour.

great! This is the second appliance we have purchased from him. first was a washer and it is still running 10 months later. Why buy new when this is a fraction of the cost and works great!
