RESTORATION SERVICES FOR THE REPAIR OF PROPERTY DAMAGED BY FIRE, WATER, WIND, LIGHTENING, VEHICLE, VANDALISM, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE OF LOSS. ROOFING, GUTTERS, SIDING, WINDOWS, PAINTING, STAINING, CABINETS, COUNTERTOPS AND ANY NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION. ADDITIONS, REMODELS, GARAGES AND HOMES.
Description of Work: Offer all floor covering options. Installed all new carpet in our home and new flooring in kitchen, entry way and one bathroom. Very professional installers, project managers and estimators. Very through estimating process. As difficulties arose the installers could handle the situation. Came back several times to correct problems that arose after the installation. They came back with no complaints or extra charges. Wonderful contractor to deal with. A family owned business. A lot of family members work for Zinz.

We went with Zinz because they were local. They promised high quality work and initially they were at the job site 24/7, showing great results in a timely fashion. After contract signed, work progressing, we found out that they really only had a very small crew of workers, mostly painters and laborers, and the majority of the quality work that was done was by sub-contractors.When the sub-contractors were not there, no one was there. If zinz did send out their people, they did seriously poor workmanship and only worked @ 3-4 hours a day, 1-2 days a week.We literally repeatedly asked Zinz to send out the sub-contractors to work on our house, because their people were not cutting it. All said and done, we were given a move in date of march 1st, we finally got to move in july 1st with the job still not completed. The longer we were in the house, the more things we found that was done improperly, poorly, or just not done at all. We called lawyers, had a meeting with the owner of Zinz who repeated many times "beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" WHAT???, and basically offered them a lower amount than what we owed just to get rid of them. A lawsuit would have definitely been in our favor, but the damage to our credit, the year or so it would take, and all the stress that comes with it, just wasnt worth it to us. Hind sight, after living in our brand new turned fixer upper house,I wished we would have sued the pants off those creeps!Roof leaks, carpeting coming up, creaking floors everywhere, drywall screws coming out, nothing sealed properly etc etc etc the list goes on and on!! Hands down, one of the worst experiences EVER! A house fire that destoys @75% of your personal belongings, destroys 90% of your childhood home.....trying to rebuild our lives after that tragedy, all to have to deal with a bunch of money grubbing, decietful, and careless bunch of jerks from Zinz!!!! (on a positive note, the Zinz design center in Austiontown was great as was our designer Bobbi! Also, alot of respect for estimator,Nathan, who was great through out ordeal and was left to pick up all the pieces in the end.)
Description of Work: We had a house fire in Oct.2011. The entire house had to be gutted down to the studs, treated like new construction and rebuilt. We also had an addition put on and a front porch. So literally, Zinz had to re-build our whole house.

I was told that the job for " a kitchen your size" would take 2-3 weeks. We are in week 7, and are still waiting for completion. Primarily, the job started well, but one plumbing set back (lasted 2 days) put the entire project behind several weeks. When I complained, the project manager and kitchen designer were able to reschedule the next steps so that the schedule moved more according to the original plan. There was a lot of work that was done in an amateur fashion: During the first week of the project, one of the workers broke the bowl of my chandalier. The project manager promised to replace it. The project is in week 7 and I am still waiting to have the bowl replaced. The project manager showed up to work in the second week with the electrician, but did not have proper blueprints so that the electrican could work. I happened to have the set ot plans needed (sent to me by the kitchen designer after one planning meeting), so I gave copies to the project manager and the electrician. The project manager did not always share the upcoming week's work schedule with me, so there were days when I was awaiting workers, but none showed. The project manager went on vacation at the end of the fourth week, so no workers showed up for almost a week, and there was no communication about it from the company. Once the cabinets were placed and the flooring was placed, there were small adjustments that needed to be made. Two cabinets opened in the wrong direction. It took at least two weeks for it to be fixed. I have to say that the backsplash guy was great! He did a wonderful job, only to have the backsplash cracked ( in two separate places) by the worker who placed the electrical sockets (crookedly, at that). The backsplash guy had to come back to fix his work, and he was always most professional. In week six, the project manager proclaimed that the project was "done", and he had a cleaning crew come to clean. However, several items were left undone: The new windows needed the screens put in. The bookshelf still needed to be stained. The full-sized doors to the pantry and basement that were removed from my home to be painted had not been replaced...when they made it back to my home, the doors had large chips in the paint job, and the old paint was clearly visible. There was a misalignment of the boarders around the toeboards of the floor cabinets. Some cabinets had the door hardware( the mechanisms for opening and closing the doors) placed incorrectly. All of this was pointed out to the project manager, who said, "Oh, we'll get that fixed"...his usual response, but I'm still waiting for some of the repairs. The kitchen designer, who always claimed that customer satisfaction was number one, argued with me when I refused final payment until I received a new refrigerator to replace the one that was damaged during delivery, and until I received the final repairs. When I told her that I did not expect perfection, just professionalism, she changed her tone and went back to her speil about customer satisfaction being number one. I could go on about more mishaps that occured during this remodel, but the bottom line is that Zinz did not provide the seemless remodel they promised, and I felt that I constantly had to monitor their work for quality, as the project manager seemed to have a different view on what constituted a good job than I. I have more remodeling to do in my home within the next year or two, and I will not use nor recommend this company. Maybe they have too many jobs going on at once, but no matter how humble, my home is mine, and I would like it respected, and the job that I'm paying for, completed.

They came 45 minutes. They were very receptive and willing to do anything. They bent over backwards for me. They did a lot of extra work and the price was reasonable.
Description of Work: My basement flooded from pipes upstairs. They graded the kitchen floor and then it will run into the garage. They put up a new wall and new ceilings. They also made an office and bathroom. They painted the basement wall after they tore out the paneling.
