A drain pipe behind a wall panel behind a clothes washer sprung a leak and a short section had to be replaced. i did all the hard work of taking down a wall cabinet and moving the washer out of the way and removing the wall panel to exposed the cracked pipe. The section was about 18 inches long and included a trap. The person who came arrived pretty much on time but he did not bring the parts he needed to do the repair work and he had to drive in to Grove City to find what he needed (a 25 mile round trip). When he got back it took only about half an hour to cut out the bad section of pipe and replace it with new pipe. Of course I had to put the wall panel and cabinet back in place and hook up the washer after he left. The job was handled well enough but I should have done it myself. I never dreamed he would charge $298.00 for such a small task. Moral: Never call a plumber unless you really need one and NEVER call Roto-Rooter!
