RUTLAND BOTTLE GAS

This is by far the worst, most unorganized gas company I have ever dealt with. They say there is no way to know where their delivery drivers are and therefore have no idea of when they will deliver gas. I have waited 6 weeks in the winter to receive gas and probably would have waited longer if I hadn't sought help from the Ohio Attorney General's office. Because of dealing with Rutland Bottle Gas, propane, which is our primary source of heating fuel, was third after wood and electric this past winter (even when there wasn't a propane shortage). You really cannot rely on Rutland Bottle Gas. They have hung up on me in the past when I called to inquire about fuel delivery, which displays their lack of professionalism. I was done with them, but then thought I'd try again with the special summer prices. It has been a week since they took my money and told me they would call me later that day to let me know when I would receive my "already-payed-for" gas. I just called again to find out if they could tell me when I might get gas and they informed me that their truck is broke down and they don't know when it is going to be fixed. I asked if it could be a month and their reply was, "I don't think it will be that long". Really helpful there, Rutland...really helpful. I payed for gas that they cannot deliver nor tell me when I might get it. Do not rely on Rutland Bottle Gas!

We recently purchased a home that at one time had natural gas service. Natural gas is no longer available and the previous owners had converted all appliances / heat to electricity. I contacted Rutland Bottle Gas to discuss converting the existing (unused) natural gas piping to propane. The propane would be used for a clothes dryer and kitchen range. The people at the office were very helpful and gave me guidance as to what would need to be done. Rutland does not do this work but the information was helpful when I spoke with a plumber. Once the plumbing work was completed, Rutland promptly delivered and hooked up the propane tank. Unfortunately, the plumber had not pressure tested his work and a leak developed when the propane was turned on. The Rutland technician was located and addressed the leak. A week after the installation was completed we were contacted by Rutland. The call was to confirm that we were happy with the service and that there were no issues. The good customer service is much appreciated.

THESE GUYS DO A GREAT JOB. I DON'T THINK THEY ARE PRAISED ENOUGH. THEY GO THAT EXTRA MILE. THANKS FOR GREAT SERVICE.
