It was a nightmare! We signed a contract middle to end of October 2012 with Pat Winegardner to accomplish services listed above. He needed half down to purchase materials so we paid him half down. Materials were delivered the week of Thanksgiving to our home (a month later) and a crew showed up to work on our home at that time. We learned during this time that Pat had hired subcontractors to do this job because he had already laid his guys off. The job was done at their convenience and wasn't finished until February of 2013. Our roofs were never tarped and we had some items in our garage ruined because of this, siding was destroyed from using the wrong saw in cold temperatures and it had a zig zag effect in some areas. Nails were left all over our deck and back yard, trash was in our front yard for weeks during the holidays. The crew installing the metal roof seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. Pat asked for another payment half of what we owed him because his electric was going to be shut off and we paid him. The roof was complete not to our satisfaction but we have had our fill of this circus and was ready to be done. We asked for lien waivers to be signed by Pat and his subcontractor. Pat would sign it however the subcontractor wouldn't because Pat had not paid them yet, we had to meet them at the bank with the final payment, once the check cleared Pat paid the subcontractor and both signed the lien waiver. Unfortunately, we found out earlier that day that the materials were never paid for and were on a line of credit. Still to this day a year later the materials have never been paid for. Luckily the supplier never liened our home because we they didn't think liening us was right since we did pay Pat for the materials. Dealing with Pat Winegardner Roofing was a horrible, embarrassing, and an less than honorable experience.

We had a leak in our roof and had no idea where it was coming from. We had 2 other roofing contractors come out and both said it was a problem with the chimney. One contractor charged us to re-tuckpoint the chimney and caulk around the base of it. The other contractor said we just needed to install flashing around the base of the chimney so we had him do that. Neither of these contractors fixed the leak. We called Pat Winegardner, who within 5 minutes of climbing up on our roof told us that all we really needed was a new chimney cap and he would be more than happy to do the work for a very reasonable price. Since he was the most knowledgable/and or honest of the contractors who had come out, we had him put a new roof on the house. His crew was quick and efficient, cleaned up after themselves and fixed the leak problem we had. We would DEFINITELY use Pat Winegardner again.
Description of Work: A new roof was put on our house.
