We had estimates from a few different companies to install hardwood in our living room, all roughly in the same price range. We picked Cleveland Hardwood Flooring because they were professional, responsive, and dedicated to doing a great job. When it came time for the install, Zoltan and his crew were on time, efficient, and kept the dust & work confined to our living room. This is a great company, and I highly recommend them.

Excellent from beginning to end. This was a 3 day project. We had to leave town. We gave them the house key & turned the house over to Zoltan & his crew for the 3 days. At the end they left the house clean, locked up the house, leaving the key inside. 1st spoke with Zoltan on 11/12. He came out early on 11/13 to measure & prepare quote. After leaving he text with the pre-estimate. Then we talked about which rooms to do. Once I decided on which rooms to have done, Zoltan emailed me the contract (on 11/13) agreeing to start the work one week later on 11/19. I signed the contract & returned the same day. Work began 11/19 & was completed on 11/21. Since we were not present Zoltan surprised us & sent pictures of the floors after they had been sanded then again after the floors had been finished. They looked beautiful both times. Tamas was one of the guys working on the floors & was excellent in all matters. We were very impressed with the professionalism, promptness and responsiveness of everyone we had contact with for this company. Zoltan didn't mind all the questions I had via text & the phone. We had selected this company based on the previous reviews he had on Angies list. We received a discount as Angie's List members. We will definitely call again when we remodel the kitchen so Zoltan can put down a matching oak floor in the kitchen. We had no language communication problems or misunderstandings at all. Everything went very smoothly & we were comfortable turning over our home to them.

can i say when you embark on having something done in your home that you know nothing about you must be comfortable with whom you have doing the work. I referred to this site as a guide for choosing the company to do the work. I will say the following about this company. 1. On time---Punctual arrived early as they stated 2. knowledgable- we discussed options and reasoning 3. dedicated to what they do. They did an awesome job. 4. Clean- Was very worried about dust. They did a great job sealing off the areas and containing the dust they created 5. Personable- listened to concerns or ideas and explained why they were doing what they did To those of you who have written about language issues I must say i did not experience that with the owner or his staff. They were great to have in the house and it was never an issue.The price they quoted me was what I paid. Now I know it is early and the floor looks great today. If it changes trust me I am confident he would addrsss it immediately. If this should be an issue I will update on here. Overall very happy and satisfied. Well worth the money and they did allot of work in a 3.5 day period. Thanks for your efforts and the great job you did!

Overall the job went smoothly and the floor turned out really nice. Zoltan (the owner) was able to put a crew together almost last minute to get my floors refinished before moving into the house. I really appreciate him taking the job on last minute, considering how booked he was. Zoltan is a super friendly guy, and you can tell he cares about his work/business. My only concerns were sometimes it was difficult to communicate with his crew because they did not speak English very well. But Zoltan more or less kept me in the loop with text messages/phone calls to bridge the communication gap throughout the process I suppose. The guys were very nice and friendly though, and worked very hard. They also were able to keep things pretty clean. As far as workmanship the floors are 100% improved. The only thing I wonder about is why only 2 coats of varnish in the end? And why varnish over poly? But again, I'm very happy with the final outcome. The guys even presented me with a bottle of wine as a housewarming gift. How cool is that?! I will definitely be using Zoltan (Cleveland Hardwood Flooring) when the time comes to refinish the upstairs. Great job fellas!

It went amazing. Any questions we had he answered. I called Zoltan what seemed like a hundred time but he always answer. His team of guys were on time and went right to work. The floors turned out better then what we thought they would. We are very lucky to have found such a good company.

The project could not have gone better! Zoltan was extremely responsive to my request for a quote and kept us in the loop by voicemail and text before, during and after the 3 day project. Floor looks amazing. Zoltan listened to what we wanted and his team delivered. The two man crew showed up on time, were very conscientious about keeping the area as clean as possible while they were working and did a very professional refinishing job. Would definitely use again and recommend to others.

I can count on one hand the number of reviews that I have written on behalf of a provided service. However, since I used the reviews to choose a hardwood floor refinisher, I felt that I should return the favor. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the service provided by Cleveland Hardwood Flooring. They were prompt, responsive and very professional. When I moved in, the carpet in the bedrooms that are connected to the hallway had already been removed and the hardwoods refinished. I just needed the hall and living room carpet removed and floors refinished. However, I wanted a slightly lighter color in the hall and living room. They were able to find the perfect color and finish and blend it perfectly with the connecting rooms. Everyone comments on how beautiful they are! I have referred numerous people, from family to the cable installer, to Cleveland Hardwood Flooring. The only potential issue, which was not an issue for me as my schedule was flexible, is that they book up quickly. But call early and know that they are worth the wait!

The work was scheduled for August but Zoltan and his crew were able to complete the project in early July. Though I did not meet Zoltan, he stayed in contact with me, even when he was traveling in Europe, during the week the job was done. His workers were on time, careful with my property and did their best to inform me of their progress. There were some clean up concerns, and they were addressed immediately. I am very happy with the results and hope to have Cleveland Hardwood Flooring refinish some indoor floors for me in the future.

What can I say that hasn't been said about Zoltan? He, and his team are absolutely the best. When the old floor was removed along with the baseboards, there was hardly any dust/mess in the adjoining family room. They worked efficiently and cleaned up all areas before leaving for the day. They returned to the house at the time they said they would be there. Most importantly, if I had any questions or concerns, Zoltan was a phone call away. Zoltan responded within an hour. Showed up when he said he would and the end result was terrific. Everyone comments on how great the floors look. We couldn't be more pleased. I'm sorry that I only gave them an A for Responsiveness It should be at least A+++. We tiled the kitchen floor after Zoltan finished and needed to know where to buy matching stain for the transition strips to the hardwood. Nevermind he was done and paid, Zoltan responded within hours and we were able to stain the strips to match. We highly recommend Cleveland Hardwood Flooring.

Based on the many excellent reviews I read on Angies List, I called Cleveland Hardwood Flooring for an extimate on refinishing our living/dining room floor. Those reviews are all well-deserved ! Zoltan and Cleveland Hardwood Flooring are AMAZING !! From my first conversation with Zoltan in the spring, through his visit to look at the floor to be refinished to his last visit (today) - I have to say everything was A++. I wish we had more floors to be refinished and I wish all providers were as professional as Zoltan. He was a great communicator - he responded to my calls and emails as quickly as he possibly could even if it had to be on the weekend or in the evening after he finished work for the day. He told us what to expect and never deviated from his promises. He showed up on time and went right to work. The quality of his work (and that of his associate, John) is excellent. Our floor looks beautiful - exactly as we had hoped it would. There was no dust or debris for us to deal with. Zoltan and John even moved a few of the largest pieces of furniture that my husband and I were unable to remove from the room - and they didn't seem to mind doing it. It was a true pleasure to work with Zoltan. We wish him continued success.

This is the second time we have called on this company to help us out and we were not disappointed! Zoltan is so responsive and really gives us the feeling that we are important to his business. :) Two gentlemen arrived at our house to sand our stair treads and landing, which had been painted black by previous residents. They were sure to explain that they uncovered two different types of wood and what that would mean for the finished look. I was able to sign off on the color of the varnish, so we knew what we were getting. They completed the work early the following morning and were gracious and considerate throughout. Best of all, our stairs and landing look glorious - the way we believe they were truly meant to look. Thank you to Zoltan and his colleagues once again - we will be certain to call on him again and recommend him to others!

His response was quick when I had initially reached out. They worked with our schedule and they were very neat. They had an awesome vacuum system in where I had no dust at all throughout my home. They finished within 3 days total. I thought they were very professional. I will definitely use them again when we're ready to do our upstairs

Every step of the way Zoltan and his team were great to work with. He responded to calls and emails within an hour or two. They always showed up on time and in good moods. He gave us options and advice. They finished the entire project in 5 days, as promised.They were able to line everything up perfectly. The work was outstanding. The price was great. The best contractor experience we have ever had. Highly recommend!

I chose this company because of the positive reviews on Angie's List. The owner, Zoltan Onodi, returned my call for a free estimate two hours after I submitted my request ! He was very professional, respectful & enthusiastic.His employees were always prompt and worked very hard. They cleaned up after the job. I was always kept informed via phone calls, pictures & texts from Zoltan. I highly recommend this company !

After purchasing our dream home, we were anxious to have the previous owner's hideous carpet torn out so that we may have Zoltan and his crew refinish the original hardwood flooring. Zoltan explained his process, gave us a timeline, and finally, a very acceptable estimate. Not only was he and his crew on time and very communicative, but they are very respective of your home. You can see that they truly love what they do. Each day, the team let us know what was done for the day and what to expect for the next day. I loved that! We all want to have our home back to normal as soon as possible, and we knew exactly what to look forward to for the duration of the project. On to the quality... Each day that the crew left and had finished something, we couldn't wait to peek through the plastic protectors on doorways to see what the woods looked like. And each day, we were even more in awe of their fine work. They perfectly sanded, stained, and coated our floors, which completely transformed our home. We couldn't be happier with the results, and feel we definitely made the right decision in our investment. We look forward to having Zoltan and his team back soon to do more work on our dream home. We purchased a home originally constructed in 1915 that had carpet over the original hardwood floors throughout. From our initial contact with Zoltan he was prompt and assured us that the floors would look amazing when refinished. We received several quotes for this work and Zoltan's was the best. Considering his quote in light of his great reviews, we scheduled the work. Zoltan's crew showed up on-time and worked meticulously for a week including the weekend. We encountered a few unexpected issues along the way but Zoltan was responsive and the issues were handled in a reasonable manner. Overall, the experience was great and we would definitely recommend Zoltan. The reason I only provide a 'B' in one category is because I had to cleanup after some of the mess that was left. There were several drops of polyurethane/glue/something left on our tile floor in the kitchen, dust left on window moldings/doors, piles of trash left outside and dirt tracked into the house from his workers. While I consider the overall job to be great, these few small things slightly influence my overall opinion. Maybe I should have been more vocal in regards to the mess, but I don't feel like I should need to explain that things need to be cleaned up. In either case, the floors look amazing and we are very happy with the end result. Thank you Zoltan and crew. Job well done.

Zoltan quickly responded to my request and was on site within a couple days to look at the job and provide a quote. The price was competitive and work started within my requested timeframe. He was professional and so were the guys he sent out. They were on time and gave me the schedule of the next 3 days up front. They stuck to it and fixed some damaged boards in the process. Throughout the work, Zoltan was available for questions and responded quickly. I will be using again in the future.

This was an amazing transaction. Zoltan and crew are super top notch. Zoltan returned my call and set up a time to do a quote while he was on family vacation! Incredibly professional and responsive. He even adjusted his time to communicate with my when I had to go overseas for business. The floors were completed rapidly and look incredible. The are as close to the original 50 plus year old stain with the rest of the house. I have to say I wish ALL contractors and business ran the way it did with Cleveland Hardwood Flooring. They are a must in my book. I will absolutely use them again for an upstairs project next year.

Zoltan and his team did a fantastic job. Well worth the wait. The existing hardwoods were sanded and refinished with a darker stain. In addition, 5 inch planks were installed in the living and dining rooms ( previously had carpet) and stained same finish as the rest of the floors. It turned out beautifully and took one week to complete. Zoltan was a pleasure to work with and very easy to communicate with through email, text, and phone. I was having difficulty finding someone to repair my floor. It was a small job so I didn't think most hardwood flooring companies would do it and I hadn't found handymen that could do it either. I had removed the carpeting in the dining room (which had nice wood floors underneath) and in the doorway to an adjoining room (which was an addition to the house completed before we bought it) there was plywood that extended into the dining room where there should have been oak. When the addition had been built, they obviously did not bother creating the correct transition between rooms and probably thought it wouldn't matter since they were both carpeted. After reading the positive reviews, I was able to reach Zoltan on the first attempt and I texted pictures of the floor to him. This was on Monday. He sent me an estimate after a few minutes and said that he would be able to complete the work that weekend. The next day he called and said they could start on Wednesday! The job was finished on Thursday and he even texted me to ask if it would be ok if they would be 15 minutes later than expected which worked out because I was running late anyway. I also needed a transition piece between the kitchen and the dining room floor and Zoltan did not charge me for labor for that part of the job. The floor looks great and I have to say what an outstanding customer service experience this was throughout the entire process. I will definitely be contacting them again when it is time to have the floors refinished.

He stopped by my house extremely early in the morning before work as that is the only time I had available. My wife and I were thrilled with the results of our floors after Zoltan and his team came through. They exceeded our expectations and we would utilize them for any future flooring services we may need.
