Zoltan and John are wonderful and I would highly recommend them. I purchased an older home in Bratenahl with no subfloor and a couple of people told me that the floors were in such poor shape that they could not be refinished and would have to be replaced. I had several estimates. Cleveland Hardwood Flooring was the lowest. The most impressive thing about Zoltan and John is that they returned all calls promptly (unfortunately this is very unusual nowadays). Zotlan also responded to my contractors calls promptly so that they could coordinate schedules. They called me every evening with an update and even worked on Sunday to get the job done. They stayed on schedule to the original days we chose. Once we took up the carpeting we had a few surprises and they had to do some unexpected patching. The additional estimate was very reasonable. My floors are beautiful. I couldn't have been more pleased and my neighbors are now planning on hiring them after seeing their work.

They were very nice and very helpful moved furniture when they needed it to be moved when needed. I would recommend them for floor refinishing.

Job went well. Zoltan and Janos came out to give us an estimate, were very cordial and explained carefully what we needed to do to prepare for the job. They arrived promptly on the agreed upon date and performed the work as promised over a three day period. We stayed at home while the job was in progress and they had minimal impact on us and our three dogs. There was no dust and minimal smell from the refinishing process. Very friendly service and professional work. Their price was very reasonable as we had gotten another quote three years ago from another company and Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Company's quote was exactly the same as the earlier quote, no increase due to inflation or whatever.

From the beginning they were very professional. I work long hours but they insisted on meeting me. They come out on a Sunday to give the estimate and worked around my schedule. They were very professional and prompt. They educated me on the process. We decided to wait until after we remodel the kitchen to refinish the floors but we will definitely be using them. It is clear that for them it is not just a job, it's a passion.

The floors look great! Very punctual, professional and easy to get in touch with. Around a few of the edges, the results weren't perfect, a little excess polyurethane, but excellent results overall. One real nice touch was that as we moved the furniture back in a few days later, we put a few scratches into the floor. John came back out the next morning to fix up our mistake. The price was very consistent with other estimates we received and we were very pleased the people we chose. Definitely will recommend them to others.

It was a 3 day process. The first day they sanded the floor. They put plastic up over all the entry ways so the dust wouldn't spread throughout the house. After sanding and cleaning up, they put an oil based product on the floor and it had to dry for 7 hours before we could walk on it The 2nd day they came back and lightly buffed it and then added the next coat. Happened again the 3rd day. They did a great job. The floor looks great. They gave us lots of follow up info on floor care. They cleaned up everything.

See previous answer. I would only add that we are planning further hardwood restoration and we will not hesitate to call this company again.

They were fantastic gentleman that did a great job. They were extremely helpful and I just can't say enough about them. I have recommended them to all of our friends and would use them again in the future.

Zoltan and John arrived promptly at 7:30 a.m ready to work just as they promised. They also called prior to our work date to confirm and to answer any questions we may have had prior to their arrival. They indicated the work would take approx three days and they finished in 2 1/2 days. They were extremely professional, personable, the workplace was cleaned each day and the overall experience with their work was as close to perfection as we wished it would be! They made these 40 year old floors glisten and shine as if new and we couldn't be happier that we chose Cleveland Hardwood as our contractor. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable, professional, highly skilled company. Even our dog Mr. Riley gives them a paws up!!!!!!! We have owned several homes in different parts of the country and have had many contractors thru the years and wish they all had the business ethic, professionalism and competence of Zoltan and John.

I had just purchased a house & wanted to get the floors done before moving in. Zoltan returned my call promptly, came out for an estimate on Memorial Day, worked me into their schedule the following week, before and after other projects in order to accommodate my schedule. Floors were beautiful, turned out better than I expected.

I inquired through their website and received a call from Zoltan the next day. We set up an appointment for an estimate. He and John came on time and gave me estimates for refinishing and installing new. I decided to install new. Zoltan gave me some contacts for purchasing wood; Lumber Liquidators (very good). I purchased the wood and they picked it up and delivered at no additional cost since I was an Angie's List member. When they installed the floor, it took 1-1/2 days total to complete. They had to install new quarter rounds and they gave me a fair price for that work. They were very friendly, clean and did excellent work. The floor looks unbelievable and I would highly recommend them for your job.

The whole experience was terrific. Everything went very smoothly and we could not be happier with the results.

Zoltan came for an estimate in late March 2007. I found him to be straightforward, thorough and extraordinary pleasant. Three A.L. companies provided estimates and Zoltan was the stand out. His technical knowledge and honest, unassuming manner engendered trust. The other two companies were very professional but price and 'chemistry' ended up being the deal makers. Given the amount and moving of furniture, they did the work in 2 stages. He was extremely flexible and worked around how I wanted to accomplish it. I'd read how he was an exceptional communicator and he shines there! He called before his first visit to review the plan and gave daily updates. The work areas were kept neat and clean with very little dust. He always had a "no problem" attitude! Nearing the end, we reviewed stair kick options and they covered the old wood with red oak and trim-the pictures speak for themselves! Two small repairs were well done and the floors are beautiful. He offered to return for any touch ups.

Zoltan came to meet us and give us an estimate on short notice. He was knowledgeable about the different wood floors in the house, even in their unfinished state and provided recommendations regarding stains and coats of polyurethane. His estimate was very reasonable and he was able to accommodate our tight schedule. When complications arose with sticking to that schedule, he was remarkably calm and accommodating. Indeed, he and his crew ended up losing a day on the job to get the rugs removed before prepping the floors, but they were willing to come to the house after another job to regain that time and were able to finish 1 day ahead of schedule and on budget. During the job, Zoltan called us every day to give updates on their progress and was always available to answer our questions. He and John left the house with very little dust and no additional mess. In addition to being so pleasant and professional, the quality of their workmanship is outstanding and the floors are beautiful.

I called Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to get an estimate on getting laminate flooring installed in my living room, dining room, and hallway. After Zoltan and John took measurements of the floor the looked underneath the carpet to see what type of subfloor was there they told me they could do laminate but I would have to find another contractor because the hardwood floors that was underneath the carpet was in good condition and just needed a good refinishing. I was so impressed with their honesty and price that they won my business. We scheduled a date for them to come out and expected the project to last three days. The gave me a reminder call the day before and showed up at the time they stated and finished the job a day earlier. These guys did a wonderful job and my floors show it. They look GREAT!

The two young men, John and Zoltan, are not just amiable, but also punctual, professional, and aways willing to "go that extra mile" for their customer. Our red oak floor looks beautiful now - no more stains! We are delighted with the work that was done and will definitely call Cleveland Hardwood Floors in the future when we are ready to do another floor. We rate them with an A+ on all items. Be sure to call them - you won't be disappointed in their workmanship.

They were wonderful to work with! Our 3rd floor had a very heavy treadmill that couldn't be moved, so they had to work around it and the project took 2 days longer for them than anticipated. They were very accommodating and didn't seem to mind coming back after hours to finish the job. Several contractors have come up to our attic and been amazed with how nice the floors look. They also refinished 3 rooms on our first floor. I couldn't make up my mind on the stain color and they said that they would leave the samples on the floor overnight. This meant that they couldn't stain the floors on the first day as they had planned. They were still able to finish the job in 3 days and I was thrilled to have more time to decide on floor color. The floors look beautiful! There was very little dust after they left and I was pleased that they took a lot of care to not mess up the trim work at the base of the walls.

I called for an estimate, they came out the next day and I scheduled the work for 2 weeks after. John and Zolton are the ultimate in professionalism. They always arrived when they said they would and called at the end of each work day to update me. Each day they were here the work took exactly the time they said it would. They explained each step of the process and answered my questions thoroughly. They are very personable and honest. They go above and beyond - Jon even brought my mail and newspaper in for me !! My floors are absolutely gorgeous !! They look so much better than I had anticipated, due to the condition they were to start. Once sanded, they were so beautiful we omitted the stain and just polyurethaned. They gave me a hardwood floor cleaner and told me how to use. I already recommended them to a neighbor and would not ever consider another company for this type of job. The floors look so beautiful, I may have the rest of the house done.

Very easy to work with these guys. No payment until you are satisfied. If at all possible, we highly recommend moving out while the work is being done. The odor from the polyurethane (oil-based) is very strong initially, but rapidly fades after the second coat. If the floors turn out to be as durable as they are beautiful we will be very pleased.

They were excellent, efficient, courteous and prompt. They worked around my schedule and their prices were fair. The reason I went with this company is because there was no high pressure.
