I wasn't too satisfied with their work. We have been in this house for 25 years and we put carpet in twice. That's why there were a lot of nails around the wood work. So, they did a beautiful job in the center of the floor, but didn't do a good job around the baseboards by not cleaning it up well. Overall he was great, except that the only problem was around the baseboards.

Because the property had been a rental, we had to initially work around the departing tenant. I had to reschedule this large project, moving the job a few weeks. Zoltan, a wonderful, highly professional individual, offering problem solving ways to get this job done before our move into the property. They are a 'CAN DO' company! Holding fast to an attitude of 'nothing is too difficult, nothing that can't be accomplished'! VERY positive hard working, and honest people! He kept me informed, and in close contact for any scheduling changes. Very pleasant. The floors are beautiful, the matte finish SO contemporary and attractive. Much nicer than the shiny old fashioned look. Floors were finished on time, 3 days, property was left clean & in order, the floors were completely cured hard ready for the move in. We highly recommend these people for any work to be done in your home. GREAT people! We are VERY pleased with this company!

Zolton contacted me shortly after my initial call to him. He gave us an estimate and we shceduled a date for the service. He called a day or two prior to perfoming the service to confirm. He came on that date; he was timely and prepared to get started. He completed the work in a timely way and the floor took a couple of days prior to walking on it. (We have dogs as well, so we wanted to make sure the floor was really dry!) The work was great and we now have beautiful floors! I plan to contact him for more work.

Zoltan and John were excellent. There was an issue with the product they used and they continued to return until we were completely satisfied. We had a cat walk on a portion of the bedroom floor while it was wet and they corrected that as well. My wife and I are very familiar with the construction/contractor industry and unfortunetaly, problems do occur. In our opinion, the true test of a contractor is when an issue occurs, how do they deal with it. Zoltan and John demonstrated great character by dealing with the issue and not offering excuses. Great guys and great work! We will be using their services again for our phase two project.

Initially I hired Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to install the new hardwood floor in my living room, family room and dining room. I was so satisfied with the work they provided that I hired the company to sand and refinish the existing hardwood in my three bedrooms. They are very reliable, finished the job within less than three days. I recommend this company with confidence.

Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Co RESPONDED QUICKLY to my estimate request and started the work shortly after I accepted their quote. They had all the RIGHT EQUIPMENT to minimize the noise and dust in the house. After sanding the floor it needed to be restained to match the color of the livingroom hardwood floor done earlier. They were able to achieve a COMPLETE STAIN MATCH so you can't tell they hallway and the livingroom were not done at the same time. I was very impressed by the company's responsiveness to my suggestions and the QUALITY and the SPEED of their work. I've seen OTHER hardwood flooring guys using a big mop when staining the floor and I didn't like that because the color didn't come out even. I was very impressed that THESE guys used big brushes and worked down on their feet and hands, and applied the stain in an even and strike-fee way. They didn't drag out the work for weeks either, but FINISHED IT IN A FEW DAYS, which was very important to us because we wanted to be able to put the furniture back into the bedrooms as soon as possible and have our life back to normal. The price we paid for the work was exactly the amount quoted. It has been a whole year since the company refinished our hardwood floors and I can tell they used all the RIGHT MATERIALS because the shine or color DID NOT FADE at all and we experienced no problems with the floor. With the Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Co's help now we have beautiful refinished hardwood floors that we love and our guests admire.

Before the installation they gave me advice which floor should I buy and why. They also gave me instructions about maintenance. For me it was very important to finish this floor installation as quickly as possible, therefore I was very happy to see that the guys were always on time and worked hard. They tried to make as less mess as possible, always cleaning the finished area at the end of the day. My house looks so much nicer with the newly installed hardwood floor. I recommend Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to anybody who is looking for a reliable company that provides quality work for a reasonable price.

I've owned my home for over 10 years and have had to hire many contractors but I've never had such a positive experience as I've had with Cleveland Hardwood Flooring. Both Zoltan and John were a pleasure to work with. They were always on-time, polite, courteous and respectful. Zoltan was patient answering all the questions I asked over the three days it took to do the job. They are honest, hardworking individuals. I can't grade the price due to the fact I don't have anyting to compare it to. This is the first time I did not get more than one estimate. I didn't feel the need to call anyone else for a quote because this company is on Angies List, came recommended by a family member and the icing on the cake was meeting Zoltan and John in person.

Everything was terrible. When they were doing the floor on the first floor, they replaced our 2 1/2" boards with used 2 1/4" boards and puttied them in. They also patched or puttied some holes in the boards rather than replacing them. They put two big gouges in the wood in my entryway, which they simply refinished over, but did not repair. They did the varnishing too quickly which resulted in a lot of bubbles. They then had to put a fourth coat of varnish on, which did not fix anything, so they finally used spray varnish out of a can, which had a different finish and was very rough. There is also sawdust in the varnish because they did not clean up properly. They came back to replace the 2 1/4" boards with 2 1/2" boards, but they did not resand the floor, and left them rough and gouged. They simply varnished over the top of them, and also damaged the boards next to them. On the second floor, I had to have them come back because they did not finish all of the boards, they left some putty, and the varnish has visible bubbles and sawdust. They have come out several times to fix things, but nothing has been really fixed. We are going to have them come out one more time to fix it, but things keep looking worse. They do not clean up their garbage, they use spray varnish, and they do shoddy work. They seem to be very nice and willing to make the repairs, but then they do it their way and nothing actually gets resolved.

Got a estimate, all my questions were answered, they started and completed the work promptly.

Overall, I would definitly use Cleveland Hardwood Flooring again. This was my first refinish and now I know what questions to ask in the future to have a better understanding of what is being done. After the work was done and we moved the furnature back Cleveland Hardwood called to see if we had any additional questions or would like them to come out to touch up any areas. They were great to work with.

Their service was excellent. They stripped the floors, stained them and filled them. They came when they said they would. I wasn t very happy with the way it turned out and I called them on a Sunday night and they came out within half an hour and they corrected the problem the next day, to my satisfaction. It was awesome and I could not believe it myself. They were nice, professional and respectful.

I can't say enough about this company! All my floors still look beautiful and I would use them again in a heartbeat. I wish they did stair rails as that's my next project!!

Zoltan and John originally came and gave me a estimate which was lower than other estimates I received. Since they were already an outstanding Angie's List company, I hired them that day and scheduled the work for a few weeks later. I was having my bedroom closet remodeled at the time and didn't want the floor refinished until the closet was completed [the closet contractor was extremely messy and had plaster dust and paint all over the floor]. However, I had to cancel Zoltan and John on two separate occasions as the closet work was not finished and I didn't want their floor job ruined by the closet contractor. They were very understanding and I was finally able to reschedule once the closet was completed. Zoltan & John prepped and sanded one day and came back the next day to stain and finish the job. They did excellent work and I will be hiring them again in the spring to do a second bedroom, hallway, and stairs. They are a very professional, courteous, and personal team of workers. They came when they said they were coming, kept me informed of what they were planning to do, did a great job, and cleaned up when done. I can't say enough wonderful things about them.

Price was right on, did tremendous work, and very reliable.

We called the company after reading their profile on Angie's List. Within a few hours, Zoltan returned the call and we scheduled an time for him to come out and give us an estimate. He was prompt, professional and gave us a fair estimate. A day later, we called them to schedule a time for the work. Their work was excellent as was their professionalism throughout the 3-4 day job. Zoltan and his partner were good communicators and were meticulous with the setup, work, and clean-up. We would(and have)highly recommend them!

A terrific experience! Zoltan and John were always on time and worked diligently the whole time they were here. They sanded and stained the floors for me. We had to go with a dark stain because under the carpet was a lot of water and animal urine damage! Everything looks great I used these guys before so I knew the floor is gonna look just fine. Very happy with the turn out!!

They were prompt about coming out to my home to give me a quote. They came out and told me that the type of wood floor that cant be sanded. I would definitely use them if I have any hard wood floor needs.

We set up a time to meet and they were there on time and prepared the estimate quickly and thoroughly. They also provided a photo album of their work along with samples of stains and finishes I could choose from. Their estimate was very reasonable and I hired them on the spot. Zoltan was in constant contact with me throughout the entire process. When dates became available that were earlier than we had originally set, he let me know, and moved things right along. After sanding the dining room, living room and stairs, they left me four samples of stains to choose from, and when they applied the stain, the floors looked like they were brand new! I could not believe the difference and the amazing job that they did! Less than a week later they returned to refinish the upstairs, and the house looks like new! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends and family! In fact, I've already provided their information to a co-worker because they are so professional, punctual and reasonably priced!

After my call Zoltan came the next day to look at the job and give me an estimate. I always get more than one quotes for any job to compare. Both were about the same but Cleveland Hardwood flooring looked more professional. They were able to schedule my house in about two weeks, came on time, finished as promised. The color of the stain looked exactly I wanted. They worked in a very professional manner, we are going to have them back in our own house next year.
