The whole refinishing process went well. This company was flexible, friendly, prompt and very responsive to my questions and concerns. My refinished floors look great!

I would highly recommend him; his estimate will be on par with current costs of Cleveland quality refinishers. His service is exceptional- he came early early on a Saturday morning (7AM) to give us an estimate (the only time we could schedule it) and we had a written copy later in the day. He answers his phone and returns call promptly. The only complaint is that he is so good he is booked for awhile for large jobs, which is the sign of a good contractor.

My family and I were moving from New Mexico to a new house in Cleveland Heights. We wanted to get the floors sanded and refinished before we moved into the house, but that meant dealing exclusively over the phone with whichever vendor we chose. I called about 5 different flooring companies and was given quotes ranging from $2.75/square foot to $3.50/square foot. I chose Zoltan and the team at Cleveland Hardwood Flooring based on the many positive reviews he was given on Angie's List and based on the estimate he gave me over the phone. I also just had to go with my gut and make a decision and felt that Zoltan's responsiveness and helpfulness was a sign that he would be great to work with. We weren't sure how much of the floors we wanted done (it's a two story home), so Zoltan provided me with a quote for three different options. He e-mailed the quote right away and was very easy to deal with over the phone and e-mail. Zoltan and his crew performed over and above my expectations. He sent me photos of the work throughout the entire process (because we were still 1,600 miles away!) and called every day once they started to let me know how they were progressing. Our floors are gorgeous and I wish we had done the second floor as well! After the job was completed, he gave me instructions about how to care for the floors. I would absolutely recommend Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to anyone. The experience was completely positive from the very first phone call. Our floors look beautiful! Thanks Zoltan!!

I?m a CPA, college professor and I evaluate people for a living. So, when I say someone is ?Excellent? it is a rarity and you can take it to the bank. Zolton is excellent! I called him, and several others, in a panic as I had just damaged my wooden kitchen floor 24 hours before the final inspection was to take place on the sale of my home. Zolton called back immediately, no one else responded, and arranged to come out the next afternoon. He came when he said he would, fixed the gouges and scrapes, sprayed fast drying polyurethane and it looked great. The entire process took about ½ hour and he actually refused to accept payment because it was such a minor job. I forced him to take $40 for gas and we called it a day. My only complaint is that he?s a young, good looking guy with an eastern European accent and my wife was flitting around him like a moth at a bonfire! :)

I think the biggest comment I can make regarding this company is they do what they promise. Zoltan was on time and kept on schedule throughout the week he was at our house. They did a great job matching the dark stain in our house and cleaned up after they were done. We are very impressed with the end result and would definitely use this company again. Zoltan even offered to come back and fix any scrapes or scratches that come up over the next couple years.

It was a pleasure working with Zoltan. Zoltan and his partner John worked diligently to save our 100 year old pine floors. The are hard workers with great skill and attention to detail. They show up on time and get the job done. The work site was clean and tidy. The results far exceeded our expectations. Overall the whole experience was positive, from scheduling the job to the daily scheduling of when they would come and when they coud finish the job. The price was right and the end result is excellent. The floors look beautiful and are very durable.

Zoltan was great to work with! He came out to give an estimate on the day I called. He was able to work around my busy schedule as far as selecting the days for the job. Zoltan explained each step of the process - communication was excellent all the way around! Zoltan and John showed up when they said they would and worked efficiently each day. They even moved the heavier pieces of furniture that I wasn't able to manage. The day after the second coat was applied, my "eagle eyes" noticed some swirls in the finish. I called Zoltan, and he and John came out as soon as it was convenient for me and put on another coat which fixed the problem. The floors look beautiful - just like I was promised!

Every step of the way on this project, our experience with Cleveland Hardwood Floors exceeded our expectations. Zoltan was professional, nice, and had quick followup when we had questions. We chose his company over others because out of all of the places we got estimates from, he paid the most attention to our project. I know contractors do jobs like this every day, but to my husband and me, this was a big deal. I felt like Zoltan actually paid attention to our house, and to what we wanted. The crew showed up exactly at the time they said they would, and kept us updated as to when they were finished for the day. They also gave us clear instructions about what we could and could not do (for example, before the poly, don't walk on the floors, after one coat, walk on them in socks only, etc.) There was almost no dust, and they took care of their trash right away. It was great working with them. I have recommended them to my friends.

Zoltan came to my home and explained what it would take to accomplish the task I wanted. I thought I could simply have one bad area of my floor fixed but he explained what it would look like if I did. He was honest about the outcome and I chose not to have anything done right now.

Started early Tuesday morning. Removed old carpeting, carpet tack strips, and staples from carpet padding. Sanded floors, took care of scratches and burn spot in front of fireplace. Applied first coat of sealer. Installed shoe molding and completed job on Wednesday. He was very considerate, called and confirmed time before coming to start each day. Did what he said he would do. Very pleasant and hard working.

Zultan is his name and he was a great guy to work with. He did a professional job. I had no complaints and everything looked great. I’ve used him again.

They did an excellent job. The price was reasonable. The job was done quickly, only a matter of 3 days. It was a very good job! When considering any other work in the area for sanding and refinishing, they will be my first choice.

Zoltan did a great job helping us to get unfinished hardwood at a great price and installing it. We liked so much that the day after he was done with Foyer, Dinning, Living and Family Room I called him to get the master bedroom done. Despite having a long waiting time (definitely worth to wait) he accomidated our request coming to work early in the morning to avoid having us wait. He performed all the work in the agreed time and price. Comparing with other quotations he was the best price option. He is patience enough to work on the details and to listen to our recommendations, repairing all what we requested him. If given the opportunity we would not hesitate to use his services again and we definitely recommed him.

Zoltan was very responsive from start to finish. He even came over to do the estimate on the weekend as he was headed to spend time at a friends how with his family (thanks Mrs. Onodi and family). He provided me with a very resonable estimate the next day. We discussed the work a day or so later. Zoltan was always a pleasure to talk with and answered all of my questions and explained things very well. The work was done in the bedroom so we were a little displaced (no fault of Zoltan) but Zoltan really worked with us to get things done in record time. He started on Thursday and by Sunday at 9 a.m. he and John was finished. Zoltan and John even took 3 pieces of really heavy furniture upstairs for us - that was really nice of them. He arrived when he said he would, extremely prompt, everything went so well. The floors and stairs turned out beautifully. We have pine wood. I'm sure there was dust while they were sanding, but you wouldn't know it because there was no signs of ANY dust at the end of each days work. I just can't say enough about what a great job Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Co. did - if I were you, I'd hire them, you will be happy with your choice. Thanks Zoltan and John I love the floor.

Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Company is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If all contractors were as exemplary as they are, there would truly be no need for Angie's List! I called Zoltan, the owner, approximately 1 month prior to the work. He was very responsive, he explained his process. We arranged a time to meet and he was on-time. He looked at the job, made measurements and quoted me a price immediately and in writing. I really wanted to have the work done prior to having the movers deliver my furniture (I just bought my house) and he fit my job into his already crowded schedule so that would be possible! My floors are truly stunning. I can't believe how terrific they look!! Zoltan was a true pleasure to work with. Every day he would tell me the plan for the next day, including arrival time and approximately how long the work would take. He kept me updated and was very organized. Each day, when he left, my place was clean and neat. He and John were very respectful of my home and my property. I feel like I got true value for my money. They are a little more expensive than the other quotes I received, but profesionalism and knowledge was worth the extra money for us -- Zoltan just seemed to be someone you can trust to do a great job and stand behind his work. Everything you read about Zoltan and John is true -- they are very punctual, professional, and really want to provide a great finished product! We had a few problems with the floors due to their equipment not working properly. Truthfully, I was a little concerned that I would be ignored since they had already been paid in full, but my phone calls were always returned promptly. Zoltan and John came back to our house two additional times to take care of the problem. Zoltan's communication skills are great. He will answer any question you have, keeps you informed every step of the way, calls to tell you when you can walk on or move items in to the room, and continued to follow-up to make sure things were excatly what we expected. If you are looking for a company that stand behind their work, don't look any further. With home remodelling projects having the domino effect, we've not been able to have them back to do the third and final bedroom (not included in the above price), but we will be calling them for this as soon as we are able. Beautiful, beautiful work. Zoltan did a fabulous job. He met with me Sunday morning to give an estimate, kept us up-to-date on daily progress, and we are very pleased with the result.

Job was completed on time, quality work and resonable price. Couldn't ask for more.

It went very well. Showed up on time, very friendly and courteous. Concerned about my satisfaction. I called a few days after the work was completed because they didn't put a threshhold in one of the rooms and left stains on the carpet. They immediately responded and took care of the problems.

I chose Cleveland Hardwood flooring because Zoltan Onodi and his partner John said they would help me move some of the furniture if I could not empty both the living and dining room . His price was in line with the other estimates I received and I was impressed that they agreed to move some furniture if needed at no extra cost. I was able to completely empty both rooms so I did not need their help with that. I really appreciated their professionalism. They told me what time they would arrive and all the steps they would take so I would know what to expect. It took 3 days for them to repair, sand , and clear coat my 96 year old oak floors. The floors look so fresh and clean now. Mr. Onodi told me how to care for the floors so they would always look good. I would definitely recommend them to others and will use them again myself in the future.

Zoltan was very detailed in his estimate. He took time to assess our project, answered all our questions and gave us a fair quote. He came highly recommended and was even complimented by another company we had out. His quote was the highest of the four quotes we got (but only by about $200). We ended up going with another company but would have happily gone with Zoltan as well. Note: Price above did not include wood but he said he would get a good price for wood.
