We are in the process of selling our house and needed a broken floor board repaired fast. Zoltan Onodi showed up when he said he would and fixed the floorboard very quickly, within fifteen minutes or so. He had the materials with him and out of the goodness of his heart he didn't even charge us! He had originally quoted us at $125.00 His kindness is appreciated and affirms my faith in humanity! I would definitely recommend him.

Everything went smooth, and turned out great. It was a 3 day process for the 3 layers of finish on the wood. The hardwood flooring was the original flooring from when the house was built in 1915 and came out looking brand new. The work was on approximately 450 square feet.

They never returned three calls that were left on voice mail.

They showed up on time when scheduled. Their pricing was also very reasonable. They provided excellent and superior work.

The service is average. He is a lovely guy but the scheduling is a bit tricky with this company.

We choose Zoltan to do this job because he gave us good advice when he came for estimation and his price was competitive. He ordered the material we wanted and delivered it at home. They did the job the days it was scheduled.During the job, he called us every day to keep us updated of his progress. He also help us to choose a color.The job was very well done in 3 days ; they did their best to contain the dust from sanding in the work area and they cleaned the hallway and cleaned up the dust.Our floor looks beautifull and we would hire him again if we want to put others hardwood floor. Great job!

In the middle of the job he said he had to go to Hungary to visit his father. And when my husband told him that he could not come on Sunday to work he seemed angry (although he initially said he would have been done by Sat.). When I called with complaints he said it would be some time after Thanksgiving that he could look at it months away.

Zoltan and his team were wonderful to work with. From start to finish, Zoltan was very responsive and available. He and his crew did a wonderful job with our floors (home is almost 100 years old) and really brought to life our oak floors that are original to the house. He helped us choose a stain that was perfect for the floors and sent us pictures updating us on his progress. Zoltan and his crew worked days and evenings to finish our floors ahead of schedule, which was much appreciated. The only slight drawback is that he does not do risers on staircases, but regardless we were more than pleased with his service, responsiveness and quality of his work! We highly recommend him and will definitely hire Zoltan again to do our second story floors!

I am very impressed with this compnay. I was trying to find a floor repair company that would service my customers for my business, and after searching for over a month with other companies only making promises and never even calling our customer, Zoltan came to the rescue. He contacted our customer immediately, estimated the damage the next day, and did the repairs and refinishing the day after that. You just cannot get that kind of service anywhere these days, and to top that, the price was very fair for his services. I highly recommend using this company, and not thinking twice about the others. You will not regret using them, and they are now number one in my rolodex of service companies.

The kitchen floor was basically destroyed. These guys completely refinished it and made it look like new. They were on time, And at a fair price. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I had already purchased the hard wood floor they came exactly on time worked fast and clean they were done in a day and a half . Very nice and easy to deal with did a very good Job I would definitely work with again in the future.

I am so pleased with the floors. I can't believe how beautiful they turned out. They really brought out the grain in the wood. Zoltan was very prompt in returning my call and in giving me an estimate. Both Zoltan and John were very polite and accomodating. Zoltan kept me apprised by phone on the progress during the whole process. They moved all my furniture and made a special trip to put my furniture back to where it had been. I was waiting to see how the floors looked before I decided to do the rest of the house. They are now going to pull up the Pergo flooring in my kitchen at no cost and replace it with hardwood at a reasonable price. I am sorry that I waited as long as I did to have them do this work. I would highly recommend their services.

Zoltan returned our first call and arrived on time a few days later to give us an estimate for the work. He and his partner John are booked solid so he gave us a date 3 months later, the soonest they had available. We were remodeling the house anyway, so the timing worked for us. We called Zoltan a week before his due date and he confirmed that they were right on schedule. His team showed up exactly on time (7am!) and got right to work. Days 1-2: Sanded everything and made all the repairs we requested. Gave us choices on stain colors by literally applying several stains to a small area of the newly sanded livingroom floor. (John magically removed the sample stains afterwards.) Day 3: Stained everything and applied coat 1 of polyurethane. Day 4: Sanded coat 1 of poly and applied coat 2. Days 5-6: I can't remember if they came back the morning of day 5 to sand coat 2 of the poly - they may have. Afterwards. as per strict instructions from Zoltan, no one entered the house while everything was drying & hardening. Day 7: We walked through the house and were absolutely amazed at every square inch of perfection - WOW! What beautiful floors! They're perfect from the middle out to every edge in every room to the back corners of every closet. We could not find one inch they missed or messed up. While John is quiet, Zoltan is a born salesman, brimming with energy & enthusiasm! They genuinely want to make you happy and take pride in the quality & results of their work. When these guys start working on your floors, they seriously go nonstop until every square inch has gotten the proper attention. We also greatly appreciated Zoltan's answers to all our questions, including how to care for our floors. SO THANKS ZOLTAN AND JOHN FOR MAKING OUR UGLY OLD FLOORS LOOK LIKE A DESIGNER MAGAZINE COVER!

Overall, they were very polite, but we really do not appreciate it when someone makes a mistake and then just either ignores it or tries to hide it, we would have a different opinion of they had told us of the errors instead of having to find them ourselves. If a company is changing something in the estimate, again tell us and explain why rather than try to dance around the issue and use explanations that just are not reasonable. My recommendation would be to use them to refinish floors, but not to do woodwork and make sure that you pay attention.

I had received quotes from 5 different companies (all from Angie's list) 2 were high quotes and the rest were about the same, so I decided to go with Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Company. The thing that put it over the top for me was how knowledgeable and more importantly how friendly and caring Zoltan was, and I could tell he really cared about the customer and he takes a lot of pride in his work!! He told me it would take 3 days, 1 full day to sand and 2 partial days to stain/clear coat the floors. He was right on with that and he also did not change his price from his original estimate. I am sooo pleased with the work that he did and my floors look great!!. I hope to have two other rooms done in the future and I will not hesitate to call on Zoltan. I cannot speak highly enough of him or his helper John and the wonderful work he does.

Cleveland Hardwood Flooring Co. maintained its time schedule and completed the project within that time frame...we were given a date and time and those were met...when Zoltan said he would be at our home, he was there...on time...ready to complete his agreement.

Can't say enough good things about Zoltan and John. He was 100% professional the entire time, showed up at 7:30am sharp as promised every morning! No delays. No excuses. Just a perfect contractor to work with. He kept the mess to a minimum, and even made sure our cat didn't escape each day :)

I can not say anything but great things about this experience. From the very beginning to the end, the project was well communicated and planned. Zoltan is an energetic person who is passionate about the quality of his work. The kitchen floor was previously a tile floor and we wanted it to match the rest of the house. Zoltan had us order a mix of different oak to simulate the rest of the 50 year old floors. Once the new wood was installed and the first floor was sanded, they brought four test stains to show variations for us to choose. It was a good process as we ended up changing our mind after seeing the stain on our floor. This project was on time, on budget, with great care and quality to the finish work. Thank you Zoltan and John for your great work. We have received many compliments on the quality.

Always responded to my questions, if it was just a short note. Was on time, finished on time, and the floor looks great (should have done it 10 years ago).

Zoltan costed the job for us a few months ago. As we were about to renovate our kitchen we delayed refinishing for about 16 weeks until that job was done. He called us a week before the start date - which was the date he had given us months before - to say they'd be here at 7:30 a.m. as promised. He and his partner arrived, tented doorways and kitchen cupboards, and went to work sanding, scraping, and vacuuming dust. Near the end of the day he conferred with us about what stain we wanted and the degree of gloss. The next morning they put on the stain and sealer coat; the following day they applied a varnish coat with stain, since we realized we wanted it a little darker than it looked after the first coat; the fourth day they applied a clear coat of varnish. We were able to walk on the floors (in our socks, only) about five hours after each coat was applied. (It helped that the weather was warm and we could leave all windows open.) The floors are beautiful--we are entirely happy with the results, and have scheduled them to come and do two more rooms and the upstairs hall. Throughout the job Zoltan and his partner John Varro were punctual, efficient, and professional. We have no complaints at all. We expected some dust and mess (and we weren't disappointed!) but it was entirely manageable. We would recommend Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to anyone who wants a quality job at a fair price.

We experienced an old world professionalism that was a wonderful change to other providers we have used. When we were ready, our living room was refinished in just a short time. The owner was very flexible to accommodate our changable schedule. Our floor was badly marred with paint and some old water and pet stains. We now have a beautiful floor that had all the attention to detail we were hoping for. We were also given very clear long-term care instructions. The owner of the company even came back to put in some new trim around our fireplace to match the floor. We wish we had more rooms to refurbish! We would recommend this company to anyone. Their prices are fair as well; honestly we feel we got more than we paid for.

Zoltan and his partner John did a fantastic job on our house. They were promptly at our house each morning at 7:30am with smiling faces and enthusiasm to work. Zoltan would keep us informed on what they were doing each day. He would even call in the evening to make sure everything is looking good. He said it would take them 5 days and they were done in 5 days. They were a pleasure to work with because of their friendly and outgoing personalities. We would hire them to do all the jobs required in our house if they did everything.

I have solved the US energy crisis and his name is Zoltan! This gentleman is such a worker! I have nothing but respect for the way he runs his business. You know immediately that he takes his work very seriously. He has mastered the art of hardwood, yes, but customer service, too. Zoltan came in under his estimate and worked tirelessly to get me back in my house after just a week. I think that's unbelieveable! The job he did was wonderful. Despite 53-year old hardwood floors varying in style and condition, the entire house now looks uniform and cohesive. I don't know how he erased the fact that I raised 4 puppies in this house over the last 8 years, but you'd never know I had pets. Dust was kept to a bare minimum. He draped the closets and kitchen with plastic. Best of all, he came when he said he'd come, he called when he said he'd call and he finished early! Plus, he called me every day at work to report on his progress. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I would recommend Cleveland Hardwood Flooring to anyone who asked. The result was well worth the cost. I feel like I have a brand new house!
