Ken Sasak just completed a major renovation for us, transforming a backyard destroyed by a swimming pool construction project into a tranquil oasis. I was referred to Sasak Landscaping by the Ohio Landscape Association in early March. Ken promptly returned my call within hours, and was at my home for an estimate within days. Pictures and notes were taken, and he immediately scheduled a return visit for the following week, to present his drawings and fees. As promised, he was at my home the next week with a rendering that proved he had really listened to my “wish list” of requests. He assured me that, as work progressed, if I decided to change some things here or there, or tweak this or that, it wouldn’t be a problem. I didn’t need to look any further. He was our designer. As work commenced, so did the rainiest spring I can ever remember. Ken stayed in constant contact with us, and worked whenever weather permitted, including Saturdays. Yes, I tweaked a few things and he was always very patient and willing to please. There were never any “hidden” fees, and whenever he left for the day, the worksite was spotless. He was personally onsite during the process, and his crew was thorough, respectful, and friendly. Several weeks after the job was finished, Ken & crew returned to assess, overseed and fertilize, all included in the initial proposal. The end result has surpassed our expectations. Our backyard is now a Disney scene - serene and lovely, with chirping birds raising babies in the new evergreens and dazzling butterflies winging their way from flower to flower. Oh, the happy memories we will make in this place, thanks to Sasak Landscaping.

Ken and company worked very hard and were very open to questions and my concerns. The retaining wall looks beautiful!

We were very disappointed with them. he doesn’t guarantee his work because we asked him to come back and look at the situation out here after he finished and we paid him, he didn’t come back. He started the work in April and did the work till July. He came to look at everything in April. After we gave him the check he never came back. He gave us a quote for $4000 in the beginning and it doubled because he said it took another day to do it. He was only working 4 hours a day. We were very disappointed with him and he wouldn’t return our phone calls. He wouldn’t even come and look at what we were talking about. He said he would be here in half an hour and we would wait and wait but he wouldn’t come. We were very disappointed with that. I had to pay him twice. We paid him way before he had finished. We cut down the trees and he removed all the tree stumps for us that we have on an island. He had to take down some shrub stuff from the island. He put top soil and he did not do the job and it is full of holes and you can’t walk on it. He didn’t come back and correct it. He forgot all about us after we gave him the money. He put a drain in by the driveway and island. He didn’t put gravel on like the way he said he would. It was a lot of money. He kept saying that he would change everything. I asked him to take a tree that was in the woods which I cut down. He charged me for that too. I asked him to take 2 stumps which he was supposed to take care of. I had to take all the rocks out myself. He didn’t widen it and he didn’t take the scrub trees. He never leveled it and my husband who had to take it out. He threw the top soil over here. He had some left over black mulch. They were a few trees in which he put the mulch. He put the left over mulch in an area where he wanted. He added more money to it when we didn’t ask him to. He said he would come at 10 but never showed up till 1. He said that he couldn’t keep coming over each time we talked. When we did get hold of him over the phone he yelled at my husband. The price was outrageous. It looked good when it got done but that was until you walked on it. He listens but he didn’t care about what you said. I had to go out and tell him that he wasn’t doing something right.
