Good installation but it took a while to complete. Pricey but the quality was good Called a few months after installation to make sure I was happy

Dave seemed to really know his product and be very professional on the phone. We set an appointment for him to come out a few days after talking (5/20). He was a no-call/no-show for the appointment, but after calling to follow up, I learned that he had a family emergency that took him out of commission. Understanding how these things go, I rescheduled for him to come out a little over a week later on 5/29. Dave came out, but didn't bring the samples promised. We set another meeting for him on 6/4 to bring back some proposed ideas and to bring the samples. He missed this appointment and didn't return my subsequent phone calls/voicemails.

We contacted this person for a deck addition that we wanted completed by a certain date. He told us that his schedule was booked for the season, but he recommended someone who had sub-contracted for him. The recommended contractor was able to squeeze us in and did a fantastic job.

Dave's first impression was extremely favorable. He came home at the appointed time with his laptop, albums and sample of materials. He listened to our inputs and recommended a vinyl deck. He then started working on his laptop right there and produced the first draft of the deck. We made further adjustments till all of us were satisfied. We then proceeded with selecting the color of the deck and other details like railings. Now that the deck is completed, I would like to say that my whole family is extremely happy with the final results. Dave used the best material for the deck. For example, he used all steel nails. The railing posts were H-beam (I hope I am using correct term), which made the railings very sturdy. They do not bend or break even when a 210 lbs person like me was leaning hard against them. Dave left thin vents underneath the deck, so the rain water can evaporate, and also keep the critters from entering the underside of the deck. The list goes on. Dave was very thorough in his work. When he saw that the deck will be used by my old parents (mother on wheelchair), he immediately suggested to put handrails along the stairs, and a custom ramp for my mother's wheel chair so she can get to the deck from house without any problems. He definitely went beyond our expectations.

He's terrific and does beautiful work. I would recommend him. UPDATE: The deck of my dreams has been virtually maintenance free except for an occasional washing. The low voltage lighting on the rails and lamp poles beautifies the evening experience for friends and family. I was heartbroken when one of our outdoor service providers dragged a garden hose with metal connectors across the top of one of the rails, leaving deep scratches. Dave knew that several family catastrophies delayed my ability to have this deck constructed for many years, and he graciously agreed to replace the rail FREE OF CHARGE this spring! Imagine that! Not only is Dave a contractor that has a passion for quality construction at a fair price, he even has a good heart!! Hire Rzonca Construction...you will not be disappointed.

Called Dave to have him come and quote an addition to my existing deck. Due to some weather challenges, it took about a month to get him out to measure and look at the job that was the middle of March - he said I would have a quote mailed within a week. I called after two weeks because I hadn't rec'd a quote. He said he must have had the address wrong because it was returned to him. Seems funny since he actually came to the house. But he got the address again and said he would re-mail it. Two more weeks past and I called, then he said he was out of town for a funeral and would send it as soon as he returned. It's now the middle of May (2 months later) and I still haven't rec'd a quote. Unfortunately would not consider hiring him due to this.

After he managed to squeeze my small job into his schedule we had understandable delays for weather, permits and materials, but eventually it was completed and sturdily built!

Dave and his men are very professional and highly skilled tradesmen. The plan was executed with consummate attention to detail and with construction practices more stringent than building code standards. The job went without a hitch and the deck is extremely solid. The finished deck is artful, functional and has enhanced the overall features of the house and yard. I love the fact that there are virtually no visible screw heads. In fact, after waiting decades to initiate this project, my high expectations were exceeded by Rzonca Construction. The post lights are on a separate timing circuit from the shell and stair lighting allowing versatility and beauty in nighttime illumination, enhancing the diagonal tan flooring against the contrasting white railing. I definitely would highly recommend Rzonca Construction where quality is preferred.

Dave Rzonca came out to give us an estimate and he had so many good ideas...we took them all! He said he'd take up the existing stone (that wasn't very nice) and said he'd take that away, and build up the patio about 4-6 inches to be flush with the porch..no more uneven stairs to deal with. We love the stamped cement look (all our friends think it's bluestone)...If we had any questions we would text each other and have immediate answers. He also suggested making a bed and he even put rare rose bushes in for us. He re-seeded where his machinery had marred the soil and he even did some the front yard...he helped fix the side yard etc etc etc..I can't say enough good things about Dave and his company.

They were very professional, on time. They poured a concrete base underneath the deck and we were very happy with the work.

Nothing transpired.

Dave has worked with me as the deck plan has evolved. He is very professional, has offered excellent design suggestions and appears quite knowledgeable in construction specifications and our local building code. Since we want to research the composite decking material we selected a bit more over the winter, we have decided to wait until Spring to have the deck constructed. But Rzonca will be the deck builder of choice.

Very high quality work. He has done decks for my son and daughter as well. I would highly recommend him.
