Description of Work: Refinish wood countertop on kitchen island that had a burn ring from hot skillet.

Description of Work: I have used Woodmasters of Alexandria many times over the last 3 years to perform restoration on fire and water damaged furniture for my clients. I have never had a dissatisfied client. The workmanship has always been excellent. The customer service from all of the staff at Woodmasters has been perfect! Adam, the owner, is always prompt on his estimates, pick ups, return calls and deliveries. Kelly, in the shop, is always pleasant, helpful and positive in her attitude. Many of the pieces of furniture that I have referred to Woodmasters for restoration have been antiques and high end pieces of furniture. My clients have always given 100% satisfaction on the returned product.

Description of Work: I took a wooden side chair to be reglued. One of the main pieces in the back of the chair had come loose and broken at the seat of the chair. I asked them if they could repair and reglue it. They said sure they could. I left the chair with them on 4/4/2011. They said it would take a week to repair. I did not hear from them, so 2 weeks later (4/18) I called and left a message for them to call me. Since they did not call me back, I drove to their shop on 4/19. I was told that in taking the back of the chair apart to fix it, they had split the seat of the chair. They said this sometimes happened and would be no problem to fix. They called me 5/5 and told me the chair was repaired and ready to be picked up. They did reglue the broken back. But, there was a split across the seat of the chair which was wide enough for me to fit my finger nail. It looked like they did not properly clamp the broken seat pieces together when they glued them. I was dismayed at the poor condition of the chair and the poor workmanship. I paid the amount they asked and took the chair home. On 5/11, I returned the chair to them. They agreed to fix the seat at no additional charge. Approximately 3 weeks later, the chair was ready. They had fixed the crack and refinished the seat so the crack is no longer noticeable. This is what they should have done before they returned the chair to me the first time.
