U HAUL/EXCITE UNLIMITED MOTORSPORTS

We rented a U-haul truck to move 1 son back from his Dayton apartment and the other son back from Ohio State at the end of their school years. Previously, we rented a U-haul from the Morse Road store which was a nightmare - it took 2 hours of standing in line just to get the truck and we had reservations. After using Excite Automotive (Westerville location) for automotive work, we decided to rent the U-haul from Excite. Completely different experience - no line to wait in and we got the truck very quickly. Truck was very clean and easy to drive. The costs may seem high because we drove to and from Dayton. There are costs for the rental (cheap) but the standard per mile cost is pretty high. All U-haul locations are required to charge the same amount. However, I left more gas in the truck tank than it came with and Dustin took that off my final bill which was not required. The other thing that I appreciated was that I could return the truck keys after closing at no additional costs. We used the truck from 10 am - 10:30 pm so we got our money's worth. We will rent from Excite again in August when both of our sons move back to college.

Terrible experience. When we arrived there to pick up the truck as scheduled at 10 am, we had to wait about 20 to 25 minutes for others to be assisted that were ahead of us. There was no place to sit in this tiny office that was about the size of a bathroom. Others waited outside the building that were behind us later on. When the worker finally got to us, we were told that there was no truck for us even though we had reserved it. We then tried to rent a trailer which didn't pan out either. We were really in a fix at this point, and the guy working there didn't seem to care. We got the same impression in subsequent phone calls trying to see if a truck had come in later.
