They did show up on time. However, when they completed the job they did not replace the vent screws. None of the vents were replaced properly. There were two guys who came out and one had no clue what he was doing and complained the whole time. We had to replace every screw in all of the vents they cleaned. Poor service.

Misleading advertising. The ad said $59.95 with some details for extra vents and ducts, and I knew it was a bit misleading so I called the number and told them how many ducts and vents I had and they aid it would be $96. So I scheduled an appointment and the service character said it would $639.00!! Ridiculous. That price included cleaning the furnace, for $179, so we eliminated that. Then he said he would do the rest for $450 and I said I would not have it done for that. He threatened me with a service call fee if they did not do the work today. I said something which proompted him to call the office and then they said they would do it for $350. And that is what they did. They left a dirty air filter on the furnace room floor and did not replace it with a clean filter, even though a supply of new filters was right there next to the filter slot. It took them (two people) less than 90 minutes to do the work. I think you should add a rating category for misleading advertising.

They came out to do the work, and arrived on time with what seemed like a good price. One of the technicians was very heavy and sweating, so I offered them water, which they accepted. I gave them my credit card for a hot steam extraction, which is all that I wanted and all that I usually get. They told me that for $5 more per room I could get the sanitizer and deodorizer, which I agreed to. The heavy technician did all of the work and used my restroom, which I prefer not to offer to service people, and left. When they left, there were marks all over the floor and the carpet was just barely damp. My carpet is a very light beige, and it had dark marks throughout when they left. The carpet was dry within an hour or so, which is unusual for a deep clean. They also failed to put styrofoam under my furniture, as other companies have always done. When I questioned it, he said it didn't matter than he put my flat wooden nighstand back directly on the carpet. Once the carpet was dry, I vacuumed and it looked better for a few minutes, but the dark places reappeared. Parts of it look clean, and parts look dirty. I called to inquire at the office, and the girl at the office called the technician. The technician came back with a young guy with him, and he kept saying he explained all of the prices to me. I told him that I had no problem with the prices but wanted the dark spots gone. He said it looked clean to him, and I pointed out the spots all over the floor. The technician told the office that my carpet was filthy to begin with, and told them that I was acting irate. My carpet is cleaned annually, and I do not even use one of the bedrooms. I have never had spots like these on my carpet. He threw up his hands and said "I don't have to put up with this!" He ended up stomping out of the house and slammed the storm door directly in my face. I found the technician to be very pompous and arrogant from the moment that he walked in the door. I was not trying to argue about the price or the charges, and only wanted the carpet to be cleaned as we had agreed. I have never been so insulted in all of my life, and he was extremely unprofessional. I live in my home by myself and have no pets, I use throw rugs for all of my high-traffic areas, and have all new furniture. My carpet was dirtier when they left than it was when I hired them. The company is advertised in the paper as a "BBB Member" but they have a bad rating with the BBB and a number of complaints against them, which I did not know beforehand. They did not pre-spray like other carpet cleaners would on stains, yet they charged me for it. On the back of the form, it says I have 30 days to call them back if I am unhappy with any of their work. However, they refuse to come back out or to return my money. Now I have to call another carpet company to clean my carpets again, but I am still upset by how I was treated. I went with them because of their low price, but it would only have been worth it if they had actually cleaned the carpets. I found the technician to be rude and abusive, and he deliberately slammed the door in my face. He was argumentative, abrasive, and I do not think he should be allowed to deal with customers. I do not believe that their equiptment is working properly, and I do not think the technician handled the situation well. I am awaiting a call back from the owner, but I would rather just have my carpet cleaned without having to deal with this. The company did come back out after seeing my report and did reclean the carpet. I still would not recommend them.

I have used this company for at least eight years. I think that the prices are low. They offer a variety of services that I have used. They pay attention to detail.

Quoted me the $89 price on the phone. When they got to the house they immediately started working before the quote was finished. By the time it was done it was at $587 and I couldn't tell them to stop. I couldn't find them on Angie's List under Rob's Cleaning Service as they have listed in the book and on their invoice. Turns out, they change their name so you can't find it. It's now AAA Rob's Cleaning Service.

Very frustrating negative experience. I called Rob's from an ad for $89.95 for whole house duct cleaning. When they arrived, the technician quoted our house at $440, because we had more ducts than included in the special and 4 "main lines" - the coupon includes 1. We have a standard 2 story 4 BR MI home, about 1800 sq ft - it's hard to believe that size home should be 5 times the "full home" cost, but the cleaning needed done and I didn't have enough time to price other companies, so I let him proceed. By the next day, our AC was not working properly. The vents were cold to touch but no air was blowing. I contacted Rob's at 8am the following morning to see if their work could have shut off the blower, and was told several times that "he didn't touch the furnace". I'm sure he did, because after the walk-thru he told me the furnace was really dirty and asked if I wanted it cleaned too (for another $150), which I declined. I insisted the timing was too close to be a coincidence, so she said the technician would come back out. By 3:30pm and no word from them, I decided to call a specialist so we would have AC that night. I didn't have confidence Rob's could fix it anyway since they insisted they didn't cause the issue. The furnace specialist came by 4:15p and Rob's showed up soon after, calling when they were already in front of our house rather than on the way as promised. I asked again if anything he did could have turned off the blower, and he again insisted he "didn't touch our furnace" and the "only" possibility was if the furnace door was open, the kill switch would turn the blower off. I told him that's all I needed to know and he left. The furnace repair company determined without question & with clear documentation that the problem was debris from the duct cleaning blown into the furnace, completely blocking airflow through the system. As they cleaned the furnace, it began cooling right away (cost $250). We have talked with Rob's trying to get a refund; they offered us $32, where our total cost for duct cleaning came to $690 after paying to fix their work. They were quick to point out disclaimers on the work order I signed, but none of them are applicable. I now have learned is a proper way to clean ducts (drilling a connection into the blower and ensuring all debris goes into an external repository, not in the furnace) and the cheap way - a long vacuum hose into each vent that sucks some debris and pushes other debris further into the system, which is what Rob's did. The carpet cleaning was done for the advertised cost of $85. I opted for the "basic" cleaning, and when the technician was leaving he told me he did the premium cleaning (sanitizer and brightener) for no extra cost. I have to wonder if there's any difference in their cleaning services or if they just charge for "premium" if you'll pay for it. I'm not confident the carpet is cleaner than before they came, but it is old so I'll give the benefit of the doubt on that.

I did not like the price and did not like the quality of the work. They were there barely an hour and they seemed more in a hurry to get out of there.

They did a really good job. I have since referred them to friends. Very professional. Came in, wore shoe covers, protected my woodwork, they were pleasant, and punctual. I couldn't have been more happy.

They were supposed to be here between 2:00 and 4:00. They called me at 3:00 to let me know they would be late. I ask a lot of questions and they were very patient in answering them. They were very thorough in explaining what they were doing. I felt they should have let me know the dryer vents would be extra. Additional cleaning costs should have been mentioned up front.

The guys were finished in 1 1/2 hours! They were almost running to get the job done and move on to the next job. After they were gone, I went up stairs to find one of my return vents hanging from the wall. Also, the floor vents in two rooms were left on the floor next to the ducts.

It was fairly decent. He arrived on time and was professional.

I looked in the phone book (before joining angie's list) and Rob's cleaning service was the cheapest deal at $130. I scheduled them to come on a Friday before we were painting and having carpet laid so it was essential that the work be completed on time. When they arrived the ''did the walk through'' and told me that the work would cost $345!!! At that point I needed to have the work done so I sucked it up and took the hit. They began work at 11:10 a.m. and were in their truck and gone at 11:45. I called about 8 times trying to get in touch with Rob (the president) and he only returned my call once I told the receptionist that I was going to call the BBB. He came out and looked in my vents and deemed that the work was done as it was supposed to be. My only wish is that no one else uses this service and that Rob and his cleaning service end up bankrupt and dejected. If you are considering this service, just stay at home and drill screws through your toes instead.

I called this company because they had a coupon for dryer vent cleaning. They were able to come quickly and did the work efficiently.

On time and moved any items that needed to be moved. They were very careful with the house.

The air duct cleaning was fine, but one of the workers stepped in a glue mouse trap and used one of my dirty dish rags to wipe it off without asking or telling me, then put it with other dirty laundry. He then continued to walk around the house which left sticky spots on the carpet which could not be cleaned out; it also ruined a few pieces of clothing because it got into the wash. They did not call to follow up after they sent someone out to try clean out the spots.

Upon arrival, they immediately noted there were two main lines, and the price jumped $80 or $90. However the second "main line" they pointed out was the cold air return duct. I assume their advertised price could never be obtained, for all furnace systems I have seen have some sort of main cold air return line. The serviceman was quick to point out the specific ad wording. The office then called and tried to negotiate the additional price. I asked them to leave.

Very professional and punctual. They did a good job explaining all the charges on the phone, and again when they came out to the house. Our house has 4 main lines - only one included with the 'base' duct cleaning, and the others were extra. Because one line was very short, they didn't charge for it, and only charged 1/2 for the other. So we had all 4 main lines cleaned for the price of 1.5. When cleaning the stairs carpet, they wiped the excess water off of the wood work (good detail). They did get mud on the oriental rug in the foyer, and not only cleaned up that spot, but cleaned the entire rug at no charge. I thought they were a bit more expensive on the air-duct cleaning than others, but cheaper on the carpet cleaning. They didn't charge for hallways and walk-in closets.

APPOINTMENT SET-UP WAS FAST AND PROFESSIONAL; THEY CALLED BEFORE ARRIVAL, JUST AS I ASKED; WORKERS WERE POLITE, PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. WORK WAS COMPLETED SATISFACTORILY AS PROMISED, AND FOR THE AGREED UPON PRICE - NO ADD-ONS, ETC. LIKE OTHER COMPANIES TRY TO.

I RECOMMENDED THEM FOR MY DAUGHTER. THEY FAILED TO CLEAN THE MAIN LINE AND WHEN I CALLED THEM TO COME BACK THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THERE IS A DISPUTE OVER AN EXTRA MAIN, WHICH HAS CAUSED A $90 DISCREPANCY.

RESPONDED TO AN ADD IN DISPACH FOR 199.95 AIR DUCT CLEANING UP TO 20 VENTS WITH $10 EACH ADDITIONAL VENT. CALLED TO VERIFY PRICING AND THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS CORRECT. BY MY ESTIMATE, BY ADDING UP MY VENTS IT WOULD BE ABOUT $300. UPON ARRIVAL, THEY QUOTED 600. ADDITIONAL PRICING WAS FOR CLEANING 2 FURNACES AND MAIN LINES THAT I WAS NOT INFORMED OF PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT. I TRIED TO CHECK ANGIES LIST PRIOR TO HIRING BUT COULD NOT FIND "DUCT MAN". AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETE, I LEARNED THE COMPANY NAME WAS "ROBS CLEANING" I CHECKED THE LIST AGAIN AND SAW TERRIBLE RATINGS. I BELIEVE THE COMPANY HAS HAD ISSUES UNDER THE OLD NAME AND CHANGED THE NAME TO THE DUCT MAN TO AVOID POOR RATINGS FROM ANGIES LIST CUSTOMERS. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE A COMPANY THAT I DID NOT CHECK OUT ON ANGIES LIST. THEY SPENT 90 MINUTES IN MY HOME FOR $600! SCRATCHED A WALL, CHIPPED PAINT, DID NOT REPLACE ONE VENT AND SCRATCHED CORNERS WHERE THE CORNER GUARDS FELL OFF. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

THEY WERE EASY TO GET ON THE PHONE & WORKED WITH ME ON THE APPOINTMENT TIME. THEY WERE ON TIME. I WAS, HOWEVER, VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR MISLEADING AD WHICH STATES - WHOLE HOUSE. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. APPARENTLY THE CATCH IS MOST HOMES HAVE MORE THAN 1 MAIN LINE - OURS HAS 3. I REFUSED TO PAY MORE THAN THE ADD PRICE SO THEY ONLY CLEANED ONE. I REALIZE THIS WAS ONLY A PARTIAL JOB BUT I FIGURED IT WAS AN IMPROVEMENT OVER LEAVING IT AS IS. IRONICALLY, OUR OTHER ESTIMATE WAS ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT THE PRICE WOULD HAVE BEEN IF I PAID TO HAVE THE OTHER TWO MAIN LINES DONE WITH ROB'S, SO IF THEY WOULD HAVE QUOTED ME HONESTLY UPFRONT I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO HAVE THEM DO IT BUT I DON'T LIKE TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!! ALSO, THE TECHNICIANS WERE VERY RUDE AND COMMENTED SEVERAL TIMES HOW DIRTY THE VENTS WERE - THAT'S WHY I HIRED THEM!

THEY DID NOT BRING THE PROPER TOOLS TO DO THE JOB. THEY WERE USING WHATEVER WAS IN THEIR BACK POCKETS TO TRY TO DO THEIR WORK. THEY DID NOT CLEAN UP THE RESIDUE MESS AND WALKED AWAY FROM EVERYTHING. THEY ALSO DID NOT CLEAN IN THE OTHER ROOMS WHILE THEY WERE THERE. THEY CHISELED OUR DRYWALL AND RUINED THE PAINT. IT LOOKED ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. PAINT WAS DESTROYED EVERYWHERE. THE WALLS WERE A MESS AND THE MESSINESS WAS UNREAL. THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. THEY WERE MAKING RUDE COMMENTS ABOUT THE APPEARANCE OF MY HOUSE AS WELL. WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I TRIED TO OFFER TOOLS THAT WOULD HELP THEM AND THEY JUST BLEW US OFF. THE OWNER WAS BY FAR THE RUDEST PERSON OF ALL (ROBERT KIMBERLY)

THEY INITIALLY TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE THAT THE COST WOULD BE $150.00 PLUS TAX. THEY ENDED UP CHARGING ME $559.61. THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD THE VIDEO SETUP AND WOULD USE IT, BUT WHEN THEY WERE THERE, HE SAID HE DIDN'T FEEL LIKE GETTING IT OUT OF THE TRUCK. I ASKED TO SEE THE MATERIAL REMOVED, AND AGAIN, HE SAID THAT HE DIDN'T FEEL LIKE DRAGGING IT OUT OF THE TRUCK. THEY DID THE WORK, AND WERE THERE FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF, BUT WERE NOT WILLING TO SHOW ANY PROOF THAT THEY HAD ACTUALLY DONE THE WORK.

DID A GREAT JOB. WAS FAST AND EFFICIENT!! WOULD HIRE AGAIN IN A MINUTE.
