Excellent. Tony works very hard to reach his customers as quickly as possible. He has saved us in many situations where others would have put us off for a week. Thank you for all your hard work for us, Tony. Linda

Called Home Warranty company. What he told me and what he wrote to me was not what he sent back to the home warranty company. The toilet was cracked through the bowl, he did not want to drive back to so he took the service call money then told them it works. Yes it holds water at this moment. I need to wait till it burst. The other toilet flushed fine for him, so he was ok with it Even though it had flooded our house with very little in not too long before this. BEWARE he spends very little time doing the work and works for a warranty company... taking calls really far away.

Description of Work: We got back from our honeymoon to find out our air conditioner (HVAC) was no longer working. We called our home warranty company and they advised us that Ohio Town and Country would be contacting us. A few days passed and no word so I attempted to call the company. Went to voicemail but it was full so I was unable to leave a message. This would become a recurring theme in our dealings with Town and Country. We come to find out after they did show up that this is a one-man show for the most part. The guy seemed to really know what he was doing and ultimately did get us a new HVAC system installed but it took a lot of rescheduled appointments due to rain and I really grew tired of not being kept in the loop about what was going on. And repeatedly not being able to reach anyone at the Ohio Town and Country due to a full voicemail system really got on my nerves after a while. | |Ultimately we did get everything that we needed resolved but I think this guy, who is a good guy by the way, needs to suck it up and hire some help, starting with a secretary or someone to answer his phone and communicate with the customers better as to the status of their orders.

I contacted Ohio Town and Country on July 15th and left message at the office that the fan was making increasing noise and I would like him to replace it whenever he could before it quit. He had installed AC unit several years ago and told me at that time the fan would eventually need replaced. A couple hours later I noticed the condenser was working but fan had quit so there was no air in the house. Of course it was one of the 90 degree plus days and because of health issues no AC is a problem. I called back to his cell phone and left message that it had just quit. He called back very soon. With the heat he was very busy but promised he would make every effort to come that day and he did. It was after 6pm when he came out. He had gone and gotten 2 motors to make sure he had the correct one with him. Cleaned housing for fan and replaced. Informed me of warranty part needing replacement on furnace before heating season. As always I am pleased with his service and impressed by the effort to take care of the customer.

Called Town and Country in for second opinion after the big name HVAC company advised a full replacement was needed due to cracked heat exchanger. Town and Country did full inspection even with remote camera and found no issues. Saved thousands of dollars.

The first time he came out he said it was from a loose fitting in the vanity. When the leak continued to be a problem the same guy came back and cut a 10x10 hole in my ceiling below the bathroom in question. When he still couldn't see anything he cut a 3x6 hole in my bathroom closet next to the shower. He decided that it was not a pipe issue and that it was the result of our shower base leaking. He said he couldn't do anything more and gave me the name and number of his "buddy" who just so happened to be a contractor. I contacted his buddy who turned out to be an unlicensed, uninsured, none bonded "handyman." Well as of today 10/17/2012 I had my bathroom redone, shower pan and walls and SURPRISE the leak is still there. So long story short, it was never my shower pan, but a pipe issue instead. All this guy wanted to do was the bare minimum and then shoot his unqualified, uninsured buddy to redo my bathroom when the real issue was a pipe. I will NEVER do business with them again.
Description of Work: I used this company because this is what my home warranty set up. He was called out because I had a leak in our master bathroom that was damaging the ceiling below. He was brought in to find the source of the leak (in the bathroom) and to fix it.

Overall, I had a pretty poor experience with Tony. I was very disappointed with the time it took to get the job done correctly (more than 5 weeks in total!!!), and the work was not done correctly the first time (he worked on three things, and after his work, we had a total of 4 leaks!). Let's start at the beginning. First of all, I had no choice in using Tony as he was the service provider assigned through my home warranty service (HMS). When we found the plumbing issues, we called HMS and they arranged for Tony to come look at the job. He came within a few days, and then submitted his report to HMS. It then took HMS about 10 full days to simply decide if the shower replacements were covered or not. This delay certainly was not Tony's fault, but it added to the overall time it took to get the job done. For the insurance approval, Tony had chosen parts to replace the existing showers. We wanted to upgrade a bit (and pay the difference ourselves), and this was our first problem with Tony's service. He was able to get parts from exactly one distributor, and that distributor had extremely limited options for parts that would fit our old-fashioned tubs. While many many places online offer the parts we wanted, Tony could only get parts through this one place with limited choices. That was a bit disappointing, but eventually we found a system they offered that was satisfactory, and paid an extra $300 for the price difference. Then came the second problem. Tony said it would take 10 days to get the parts, which seemed way too long. I myself called the parts manufacturer, and they said they shipped parts the same day or the following day an order was placed -- and they are in Illinois and I'm in Ohio. Why it would take 10 days to get parts then, I don't know. After 8 days, I called Tony's distributor, and lo and behold, that parts had already arrived. I then called Tony to arrange the service visit. Despite the fact that it had already been about 3 weeks since putting in the service request, the next time Tony could come out was nearly one week later! At this point, I felt this was really poor service. He knew full well the parts would be arriving that week, but he hadn't reserved a slot for us to do the installation and couldn't come until the following week... adding unnecessary delay. By the time he installed the showers and fixed the toiled, one full month had passed since I made the service call. (I should also say, the toilet could have been fixed almost immediately, but he was unwilling to make the trip to our house to fix the toilet alone. I understand it is a long drive for him, but this still very frustrating. If I am within his service area, then he should provide me timely service. If he is unwilling to do that, he should shrink the size of his service area!). Finally, he came and did the work. I do want to be sure to mention that he is a perfectly friendly guy and professional. No complaints there. That night, when I went to use one of the showers, I noticed a leak -- a pretty significant one, but luckily it was leaking inside the tub. Then I saw that the toilet was leaking, this time on the floor (I should note, the leak was a new one, and not where it had been leaking originally). Then later I looked at the other shower, and yes, it too was leaking! Of the three things he worked on, all three were leaking! I called him back, and did agree to come fix it, although it did take a full 48 hours before he was able to come back. Luckily I was able to shut off all leaks by closing the supply line valves. Then a few days after he came back to fix the leaks, I noticed that one of the showers was yet again leaking at the same place. This was really disappointing. At this point it has been over 5 weeks since I first placed the service call and I'm now waiting for him to re-fix the leak. Very very frustrating. Because of the delays and the slow pace of the work, I should say that I would never have continued to keep him working at our house if I wasn't forced to by my home insurance service (which I'm also not very impressed with, but that's another review...). I felt that Tony took advantage of the fact that I was locked into using his service and didn't feel obliged to go out of his way to provide me with timely service. (I say I was "locked in" -- of course I could have used somebody else and "cashed out" my insurance claim, but then I would have gotten $500 in cash, as opposed to the $1200 of coverage provided through their service provider, Tony... not much of a choice!). If I could have chosen any service provider without loosing the $700 in covereage, I would have long ago moved on and found somebody to do the job quickly and correctly.
Description of Work: We had two new showers installed (for claw-foot tubs) and a leaking toilet was fixed. Note that while I personally spent $400, the job itself cost a total of approximately $1600 -- the difference being covered by a home warranty service.

This was the first time we had used our new warranty services. I called the company they told me who to use, which I did, with apprehension. Tony responded quickly, and agreed to come as soon as possible. He told me that some warranty companies limit the amount they will pay, and when he first arrived, I gave him the service charge. Later that evening, he called me to reassure me that the company was going to pay all the rest of the cost. He had called them to be sure. He was nice, efficient, and did an excellent job. Best of all, he was quick and reliable.
Description of Work: Our hot water heater gave up the ghost. Tony came out and told us it needed to be replaced, and he would do it the next day. He came when he said he would, and replaced it with a new one, and did a great job!

Tony picked up, delivered, and installed a new Water Heater for us. Everything went well, no issues. It took him just over an hour, which I thought was pretty good. He is very nice to work with. He was slightly more expensive than a few others I called, but he had done work for us before and we wanted to use him again.
