Had to wait two week for item purchased because the item they originally purchased was sold, but the provider made it right. Delivered a new item from the floor at a reduced price, very happy with results. Workers were great, even removed old appliance and left the area clean.

We went through the flooring department to order the materials and set up the install. Margi was the main contact person we worked with (she is great!), and also the manager Leslie, and another associate named Kevin. They were all friendly and helpful, and there was almost always someone available to sit down with us and answer questions and give advice. I find this exceptional because a lot of times at home improvement stores you can't find an associate. I was able to get scheduled fairly quickly. The installer, Jesse, worked with me to get it exactly as I wanted it---as I had something very specific in mind. It took a few days longer than expected but I was happy with it. He actually saved me money, as I was able to return items that were anticipated but not needed. Lowes is very good about returns. I have also purchased appliances from this location. Appliance department also has a helpful staff available to answer questions, and the deliveries have gone well. Their prices were a little high on countertops, although their warranty does beat that of competitors. They have a very knowledgable gentleman who is generally available in the kitchen department. We didn't end up buying counters though.

I have a bridge over a little creek in my backyard that needed to be treated with some Thompson's Water Seal. I also needed a couple of sprayers, or just to know what would work fastest for me. There was a lady that helped me find everything I needed, and she also took me to the guy working at the paint counter when I asked if there might be a faster way than using a hand sprayer. He was very helpful, but the lady that helped me was very good. She walked with me to a few different areas of the hardware store to help me get just what I needed at the best price. I bought deck wash, Thompson's Water Seal, a couple of inexpensive sprayers, and some bird seed. I went away impressed with the customer service once again!
Description of Work: Helped me find and sold me what I needed to seal\waterproof my wooden bridge over a creek.

I made the decision to buy at Lowe's because of the person that helped me. I got a similar price with Home Depot, but the guy at Lowe's was just really nice. The granite picked up all the colors of our kitchen perfectly. It was the cheapest granite I could buy. It was an "A" experience. I was absolutely thrilled. I would definitely check Lowe's again and I would recommend that anybody would check Lowe's before they made a decision because I know people who had paid a lot more to have their granite installed.

An installer had to come out to measure for the door which is where the problem began. According to the installer the opening for our door was 1/8 of an inch to large and that we need to special order the door at nearly $700. Twice the cost of the standard door. No storm door in my mind is worth $700 and according to the counter person and quot;if the installer said the stock door won't fit it can't be installedand quot;. We left the store upset and puzzeled because there are many doors in our association installed and I found it hard to believe they all had to pay $700. After a day or two of being PO'd I measured the opening for myself and went back to Lowes and asked to see the installers measurements. To my disbelief they were the same as mine! I thought the installer must be right that the door wouldn't fit. Then I asked to see the specifications for the door and found that my opening was within the specs and that no special order would be needed. I don't want to indicate that Lowes was trying to pull something but I have heard from contractors who have worked for them in the past and that the situation that I described was done more frequently than not. My suggestion would be for future customers to do their homework and don't accept the word of Lowes installers and counter people to be 100% accurate. We ended up buying the stock door and it was installed fine without any problems.
Description of Work: We needed a Storm Door which met our associations requirements. Lowes had the door we needed for around $350.

They probably have the best product out there. We had a slight problem with a manufacturer and the pattern of carpet was pre-cut or ran the wrong way. Lowes has a really good job, and because of the issues we have had they gave discounts. I have been very pleased. They big time went out of their way to take care of us.

I needed the back door in my garage replaced. I called a couple of providers on Angie's List and they were really expensive. I had a quote of $800+ with one of the providers, so I went to Lowe's. They scheduled an appointment to see exactly what was needed and followed up with another appointment for the installation. They provided the total cost up front which included the new door and followed up to make sure there were no questions or issues. JM Home Service is the company that actually did the work and they were fantastic. They were polite, very knowledgeable, and even made some adjustments to my front door at no extra charge. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up afterward. I would definitely use this company again.

Day 1 the crew of two arrived 35 minutes late with no phone call. We quickly walked thru the house and when they went into the upstairs craft closet, the crew leader started complaining loudly that the storage boxes in there were all supposed to be removed. When I got angry, they threatened to leave. They finally agreed to start downstairs so I could get someone to move those things (I'm handicapped) by the next day. However, they said they wouldn't be able to finish in 2 days due to the change. I told them no problem since we had 3 days planned. The crew didn't have the same days booked. They had another job on Friday and were booked the next week. Now I'm really upset and they assure me they can work Sunday, not understanding, nor caring that we might (and did) have plans. My husband had to miss our granddaughter's piano recital. Day 1 finished on a good note when they completed the Florida room, office and great room plus tore out the old carpet on the steps. They thought they might finish on Day 2 after all. Note: I did discover in a Lowe's packet that we were supposed to have all closets cleared up the 3 ft. from the floor, so I guess this was my fault. However, Marilyn had every opportunity to remind me and review that when I called her the night before. Instead, only the knick-knack reminder. Day 2 they call 25 minutes late to say they will be late. They 50 minutes later. Despite this, they had to take an hour for lunch. Around 3 in the afternoon I can hear the crew leader on the phone promising to be somewhere that afternoon to measure. They get ready to leave having only installed the hall and Master bedroom, saying the seams in that space took a long time. I wanted them to remove the carpet rolls from the garage because of condo rules for parking. They said they had no place to put it. (I offered the garage because of rain.) They finally moved it over into our storage area, but did not clean up the oily fingerprints on the closet and room doors or remove carpet scraps. Day 3 they arrive an hour early. I was in the shower, but my husband was there and when they got upstairs they started yelling at him that I was supposed to remove every thing from the bookcase. My husband had to do this by himself, making multiple trips up and down stairs. When they finally finished, they REFUSED to take the large cardboard rolls and the extra piles of leftover new carpet or clean up the carpet scraps blowing around the neighbors' units and street. They said they didn't have room in their truck and it wasn't their job. Lowe's happened to call for a Customer Service check as they left and promised to send someone right over. That turned into the next morning so my husband had to do the clean-up around the neighbors' yards and driveways.
Description of Work: Replaced the carpet in our entire condominium (1992 square feet upstairs and down with 16 steps w/o balusters and closets.) The price also included moving "normal" furniture & ripping up & hauling away old carpet. There was no moulding or door planing involved. BUYER BEWARE OF PRICE AT LOWE'S! We didn't intend to buy from them 'cause they weren't on Angie's List. We were browsing. There was a $139 installation sale & we found some carpet we really liked so we bought impulsively. That's our fault. Why belong to Angie's List and not use it?! After we got our quote over the phone, I asked Jason Meredith, Sales Associate, if it included everything. He agreed. Later I called again with questions from my husband and again said, "Now that's tax, title, everything included, right?" He agreed. When my husband went to pay for the carpet & sign the contract, the first thing Jason said was, "Now you understand that tax is extra, right?" My husband got up to leave & Jason said something could be worked out. As they negotiated, it was suggested we take out a credit card to save 10%. We discovered that the $139 was misleading because the discount only applied to the carpet and fully $1570 was for rip out & removal of the old carpet, installing on steps, extra for the better pad, moving furniture. I asked Jason for the "worst case scenario" on how long it would take to have the carpet installed, warning him I was a member of Angie's List and would hold him accountable. He assured me 10-14 days to the warehouse and w/n 48 hours after that for installation. Later, a manager called to confirm the order and said 7-14 days. I rec'd a call on the latest day it should have arrived, 4/21, informing me that the manufacturer had decided to start a new roll for us because they wanted such a big order to come from the same dye lot. Jason recommended a specific installer, Marilyn with Priority, and suggested we request her personally. She came to measure & stayed 2 1/2 hours. She was very nice, but shared a lot of personal problems. She called to schedule 2 1/2 days starting on 4/29, fully a week later than the "worst case scenario" I was given. I called her the night before installation and asked the plan and if I should know anything special. She said they would start and finish the upstairs on Day 1 and told me to be sure to have all the knick-knacks off the tops of the furniture. I asked about books on bookcases and she said they were not a problem.

The cabinets that they measured I had to take back myself, did not fit. There was no problem with taking the cabinets back. But the work was drawn out for another six weeks. I still can't use half of my sink.

The service was good at first, then it took them two months to get the blinds in and installed after we ordered. We started the process in April and they did not send someone to do the job until June. The first person that was to come out and install them went on vacation and then the other one had health problems. It was a mess. The first person was from Lowes and she was good but nothing could be done until she came back from vacation. The sub contractor you could never call him direct and he would call you when he was ready. This was the first time I had used them. I was going to use them in the past and I am glad I did not go with them on that job.
