Dan worked with us to schedule the job around other projects that we were having done at the house. When the date came for the work to be done he was on time. He asked questions before starting the demolition to ensure that the project would be done exactly as we wanted it. The old driveway was removed and the new one poured the same day and he came back the next day for the saw cutting.

We chose to hire Dan based on his fair price, his positive reviews on Angie's List, and his approachable demeanor. We are not concrete experts, but Dan was able to anticipate any questions we might have and provided all the information we needed to be sure that he was able to do the work. He interfaced with the city to ensure that the work was in compliance with the right of way and it was done to code. Once scheduled, the job progressed quickly. Dan's team was top flight. The whole original site was a real mess, with several unconnected, crumbling surfaces. Dan and his crew poured a whole new unified concrete surface that provides ample parking for two trucks and a generous garage apron. We have other concrete work that needs to be done on our property and we will definitely be hiring Dan again.

Dan and his crew went out of their way to ensure that our landscaping surrounding the driveway was preserved when our old driveway was torn out, and temporarily planted some small shrubs in pots while they performed the work. Each morning Dan reviewed the job status with me to make sure I was satisfied with the work and knew what was to happen that day. The driveway looks incredible and has increased the curb appeal of our home. I would definitely use Dan again for concrete work.

Dan and his crew showed up on time, went over the expectations and designs and got to work. They worked around and through the rain (using radar to show incoming storms); had scheduled pick ups for concrete removal and delivery and did a great job cleaning up after themselves every day. Dan worked with my neighbor to adjust plans to accommodate her trees which are planted along the property line next to my driveway. A compromise was reached and the work done efficiently. Dan and his crew also trimmed back trees and hauled away quite a bit of earth products that had collected under one of the trees adjacent to the driveway. His crew also replaced a drainage pipe (which runs under the driveway) that had been inadvertently filled with concrete during a previous concrete lifting job. They also took the time to rearrange and place sod after the job was done. My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the work and timing. Dan and his crew are definitely worth the cost and they go above and beyond.

Called and talked to Dan on 5/14. He was supposed to come out on Saturday 5/16 to give me an estimate. I thought he didn't show but was just slow in getting me his estimate. On 5/27 he called me with his price. Dan was very professional and even told me if I decide not to use him I could call with any questions. I found him to be very professional.

Dan came out on a Sunday and gave me a fair estimate. They removed the asphalt driveway, prepped the drive for concrete and poured it in one day. The finished driveway is excellent.

In every category, they get the highest rating. Mr. Few was on the site and he was very professional in every respect. He provided free estimate and did excellent work.

He did a very good job. He was polite, professional and on time.

Dan and his team arrived promptly as scheduled. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to complete the demo work and frame/prep for the new concrete pour. Once the concrete truck arrived, Dan was the first to pull on his boots and get busy. It was obvious that Dan's team had been working together for a number of years (no subs). Each person knew their role and completed the job very efficiently. I was blown away by the care and attention to detail provided. I had not anticipated the level of tooling and decorative touches that were added into the final product. I have received tons of complements on the new drive/walkway and cannot speak more highly of the job that was performed.

I was very happy. I have no dislikes. They did a quality job. They cleaned up when they were done. They used a little stronger concrete that a lot of contractor used. Overall, it was a pretty good job. I would recommend them to anybody. The price was fair. The quality was very good.

It went extremely well. The new driveway is beautiful...a big improvment over the crumbling asphalt driveway he removed. He and his co-workers were very professional. There were no surprises.

I called Dan mid-summer to inquire about removing some concrete from my yard. He said that he was going to busy doing concrete pouring jobs until mid-October, but he still came out to my house and gave me an estimate. We agreed to have the work done, and once late October came around Dan came out to do the job. The work went smoothly although the concrete ended up being a bit thicker than estimated, meaning more material had to be hauled out and more topsoil had to be hauled in. Dan was extremely reasonable about the increased workload, only charging a modest incremental amount for the additional topsoil. He did a great job tearing out the concrete and grading the soil, and even hauled some excess topsoil to a far corner of my property, saving me from a lot of work. On top of the great responsiveness and high-quality caliber of work, Dan was also very pleasant to be around all day. I am extremely happy with how everything was done and would not hesitate to work with Dan again.

Dan Few Concrete gave us a great driveway, walk, and entrance way. Dan's team is very experienced. Dan worked with us to make design choices during the job that saved us hundreds of dollars. Great experience and great result!

Dan and his crew were on time, worked efficiently, were personable and cleaned everything up. The driveway and garage floor look terrific and make a big difference in the appearance of the house. We are very pleased as are our daughter and son-in-law who live in the house.

First impressions are everything and in this case, horrible. I called Mr. Few in an attempt to get him to come out and look at a small driveway addition that I was looking to get in before the seasons totally changed. It became apparent from the start that he was not interested in the work and I wish he would have just said so from the jump. At first it seemed that he might have felt he was being put on as he asked if this job inquiry was even for me. Who else would it be for? I don't know. He then stated he had done his last driveway for the season as of yesterday but then asked about mine. With every question he asked, he would make me feel more ridiculous for even calling him. It was to late but he could do it. It was to small and he had a minimum of $2800 but he would consider it. I had to measure the area for him to give him an idea of the size over the phone. In describing the shape, he didn't like that part of the scope either for it is not a common shape and will have corners. He would have to haul the dirt and that costs him. Excuse after excuse to where I became completely uninterested in his service. At the end he then wanted to talk more about it and how he does things better than other concrete contractors but at this point I was completely turned of and just wanted to get off the phone with him. All of these things are why you come to potential customers home and look at the job yourself as you are the contractor. You figure out what can and can not be done and explain the good bad and the ugly then. Being so brash and negative over the phone just tells people you don't want the business. They were on time and everything went great. I am very happy with the service provided.

They showed up as promised and did a very professional job and when they left everything was perfect.

Dan was easy to work with. He called on a Friday to inform us he was ready start job the following Monday. He came out on Sunday to go over the work and to confirm estimate. He had to add topsoil, which was charged at cost of materials and delivery; his crew spent time filling and grading it at no additional labor cost. As promised, 6 weeks later the driveway was sealed. He coordinated with the county to make sure everything was in order and to schedule asphalt be added between approach and road. It's been 3 months with several rains since the driveway was instlledand (for as long and wide as the driveway is) there are no signs of water ponding; really nicely graded and leveled to properly drain. Graded the dirt so it was ready for me to add seed. I did get two other estimates, one slightly higher and the other lower, but key experience is in line with the vast majority of Angie's List customers - very satisfied with the job done by Dn and his crew.

We did not use them because by the time he responded to our phone call we had already signed a contract with another company. Even though I told him that on the phone he was very friendly and wished us the best of luck. He also apologized for not getting back to us sooner because of it being the busiest time of year for him.

The job was a disaster! The base for concrete was improperly prepared. The contract stated a 4 inch concrete pour, which turned out to be much less, even after it was pointed out to the owner, Dan Few. I have two different colors of concrete on the driveway. The power wash and sealing after 30 days of concrete pour which was clearly written on the proposal has still not happened or even been scheduled despite several calls (messages) to the owner. The ironic part of this is the crew actually doing the work appeared to be very capable and professional. They were not allowed to perform the work as stated in the proposal. My conclusion is that the owner was saving labor and materials to increase the profit. This quote was not the lowest quote I received. I picked this firm based on the previous ratings on Angies List. I have been a contractor in the past and used several concrete vendors. This is the worst experience by far of any vendor I have used. Obviously, I would recommend one to look for another vendor!

Dan and his crew arrived on time and got right to work after we confirmed the plans for the day. They removed the old driveway, sidewalk and porch in no time at all. By noon the forms were down and the block work on the porch foundation underway. While the block work set up, the base of the driveway and sidewalk was put in place and packed down. It wasn't long before the concrete arrived and the crew got to business fast. By 6pm everything was done, the property was cleaned up and the crew was on their way home. Dan and the crew were very professional, experienced and worked great as a team. Dan's been doing this for quite a few years and he'll tell you himself, if there's a better way to do it, he'd be doing it that way! We couldn't be more pleased with the experience and the end result. We would definitely use Dan Few Concrete again and recommend them to everyone else.

Dan Few was extremely responsive. He came out and gave an estimate to replace the asphalt drive, tear out concrete steps and replace concrete steps. Dan's bid was not the lowest, but we felt most comfortable with him. He came out in April and we did not have the work completed until July due to some delays on our end. He stayed in touch and was very patient with us. The job was completed in a professional manner and the work was outstanding. The brother of the neighbor (lives in Pittsburgh) has been in the concrete business for 37 years. He said, "whoever did this work did an outstanding job -- it will be here for thousands of years". Dan will return in two months to power wash and seal the drive -- no other estimates we received included this. Dan also cleared and prepared an area for patio pavers -- at no additional cost! We would absolutely use Dan again and highly recommend him. Choosing a concrete provider can be a scary event, but it doesn't have to be.

We are 100% satisfied with the experience. Everything went as Dan claimed it would (e.g., timing, cost, etc). Dan and the workers were professional and friendly. Our retired neighbor watched the whole process and reported the work was high-quality. Dan seems very genuine and trustworthy. We recommend this company highly.
