Description of Work: Concrete repair needed for a 56 foot long section of driveway that had been cut out to install new water drainage pipe. They "patched" the section, replaced/rebuilt the slope at the corner house foundation and sloped/bumpered the concrete at the connection to the drain. Their work was meticulous. Extremely detailed finish work to blend in with the old concrete. I wish the whole drive looked this good.

Description of Work: The front of the house was regraded so they could create a 6' wide sidewalk, patio and 2 sided steps with landing for front door. The area had previously had a deck and a few paver stones. Dan provided great suggestions such as making the sidewalk 6' instead of 4.5' feet and idea for the design of the steps.

Description of Work: My old blacktop driveway was 25 years old and needed to be replaced and I decided to upgrade to concrete. After getting three estimates I decided to go with Dan Few Concrete because he seemed to have the most helpful ideas, is very experienced and his price was competitive. He and his crew came to my Pickerington home on the morning of July 9 and tore out my old driveway and prepared the area for the new driveway. One of the issues Dan had to deal with was my paver sidewalk that ran along one side of the driveway. Since I was going to have Darby Creek Nursery install another paver stone sidewalk along the other side of the driveway Dan suggested that while they were tearing out the old driveway he could make the rough cut for this new sidewalk. This was a helpful suggestion and Dan and crew seemed to know exactly what to do. Very early the next morning they were back and pouring the first section of my approximately 60 feet by 16 feet driveway. Early in the afternoon after the second part of the driveway was poured Dan and I talked about how the sidewalk at the end of the driveway and the apron approach (which had a big crack and was uneven) certainly did not look very good with the new concrete. So, Dan gave me an estimate and I decided to have them pour a new sidewalk that bordered the driveway and a new apron approach. They were able to do this the same day. I'm very glad I spent the extra money to do this as it has never looked so good (even when it was new 25 years ago!). Dan told me that to help the concrete cure it would be good to water it daily to keep it somewhat cool and give it plenty of time to properly harden. A week or so later I noticed two very small cracks at the end of the driveway near the sidewalk. I called Dan and he came out to take a look and he reassured me that he would stand by his work and do what was best for the customer. I'm guessing that a lot of other contractors would have simply said nothing needed to be done or let's just wait a few years and see what happens. Not Dan! He believed something should be done so the two of us together came up with a plan. Dan would cut out about 6 inches of the concrete that had the two small cracks and he would subcontract Darby Creek Nursery to lay paver stones across the end of the driveway that would match the paver stone sidewalks I had previously had Darby Creek install. Well, that part of the job was just completed (9/7/12) and everything looks great. As part of the concrete job Dan will have someone contact me in the near future to come out and seal the new concrete. My compliments to Dan Few and his crew for going above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and the customer was happy! Description of Work: We were looking for someone to remove and replace our current concrete drive, service walk and step to the front porch. The process started in early July. We called three companies from Angie's List. Dan was the first one to call back. He was the first to come to our property. We did get one other estimate (the third company never responded) and it was in the same ballpark. Both companies seemed capable, but we thought Dan was the most knowlegable and we accepted his bid in late July. Dan called to say he would be out of town for about a week and would be back the week of August 6. He called Sunday night August 5 to say he would start work the next morning.
