Buckeye Custom Painting

Went pretty well. A little late a few times. Sam worked very hard to match all the existing colors as well as possible. He tried many different color combinations on different woods (not sure what type of wood the doors were, although told by previous owner the kitchen door was oak). The finished doors both came out pretty well and matched the colors about as well as could be expected. The final cost came out a little higher than the original estimate due to extra work done in trying to match the colors. Sam had to buy several stains to try to match the existing colors. Job took over a month but that was due to some scheduling problems and having to allow the stains and polyurethane coating to dry in between coats.

They were easy to work with. They packed up and were ready to leave and notice a small error they had made, so they unpacked and fixed it before leaving.

It was a good experience. Very outstanding service. Appreciating.

Sam was really terrific and took great care to get the job done correctly. He took care of little details that were above and beyond our expectations. He was meticulous and handled some very difficult spots. He was prompt and communicated regularly on how the job was progressing. He took great care to make sure our dog was safe but out of the way while we were at work. He is a one person crew and he actually finished the job with one day to spare. We were thrilled with his work and will be bringing him back to do work on another job in the coming months. Thanks for the great referral!

Sam is very consciences and do an excellent job! I would highly recommend him. He does quality work.

He was very courteous and cleaned up his mess. Our home is old and we have a lot of white woodwork at the top and we also have a large baseboard and there was not a drop of paint anywhere. We are having him back in the spring to do some more work. His pricing was great.

This is the second time Sam has done work for us. I had no problem scheduling an appointment for an estimate and getting the work scheduled. We had received two other estimates but none was as thorough as Sam's. He took the time to understand what we wanted. I felt the other two contractors wanted to come in and throw a coat of paint on the walls and leave. Sam put down tarps on all the floors from the entry to the bedroom. He is very meticulous about his work. As before, his lines at the ceiling are the straightest you will ever find. The room looks great. You will not find a more courteous, honest contractor. He says what he will do and he does what he says.

Sam was very meticulous in his work and paid attention to little details. His perfectionism showed in his workmanship. He responded immediately to my call for an estimate and began work within 10 days. He was very clean and tidied up his work area at the end of the day and at the end of the job. I was not home when he worked and he reported everything he did daily.

It looks like a new porch! Sam's attention to detail made the difference.

Job went well and Sam does excellent work. The original construction was so poor that sam did a great job prepping the job properly. He does his own work and you deal with him directly. He is great communicator and he cleans up the job site completely each day.

His usually doesn't do wall border. I wouldn't hire again due to the price. He did go over his work again and again to make sure the job to the best quality.

Sam is a terrific painter. He is responsible, responsive and does outstanding work. I had used him before and will use him in the future. His prices are admittedly a bit high, but he is well worth the extra cost.

Sam Chirico was on time and very polite. He did a beautiful job. He kept the mess to a minimum in the bathroom and also for the rest of the house. He did a great job of cleaning up when the job was complete.

I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND SAM TO ANYONE. HE EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS.

SAM, THE OWNER, WAS VERY METICULOUS. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL OTHER CONTRACTERS PAINT INSIDE OUR HOME AND NONE WERE AS GOOD AS SAM. HIS CEILING/WALL LINES ARE VERY STRAIGHT AND WE CAN NOT DETECT ANY ROLLER STROKES. THE REPAIR WORK, WHICH INCLUDED WATER DAMAGED PRESS-BOARD, WAS PERFECT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY, SAM IS THE BEST. HE DOES WORK ALONE SO DON'T EXPECT THE WORK TO BE COMPLETED FAST. OUR PROJECT TOOK SIX DAYS.

AT FIRST, SAM AND I PLAYED PHONE TAG FOR ABOUT A MONTH, BUT I DIDN'T GIVE UP BECAUSE HE HAD DONE AN EXCELLENT INTERIOR JOB ON MY SISTER'S HOUSE. HE PAINTED FOR HER DURING CHRISTMAS WEEK SO SHE COULD MOVE INTO HER NEW HOUSE BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS EVE. I'M EXTREMELY PICKY AND I'VE HAD NOT ONLY REALLY BAD PAINTERS, BUT THOSE WHO MOST PEOPLE THOUGHT WERE REALLY GOOD BUT THEY FELL A BIT SHORT IN MY BOOK. AT MY REQUEST, SAM FOUND A STAIN THAT GAVE FULL COVERAGE LIKE PAINT BUT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO WEAR OFF ON THE FLOOR IN HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS AND IS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY (LOW VOC). IT JUST SO HAPPENED THAT ALL OF THE WORK WAS DONE WHEN I WAS OUT OF TOWN BUT HE KEPT IN TOUCH BY CELL PHONE AS TO HOW IT WAS GOING. OTHER THAN ONE ROSE CANE BEING BROKEN OFF WHICH HE CALLED ME ABOUT IMMEDIATELY OFFERING TO REPLACE THE WHOLE BUSH, ONE COULD NOT TELL THE DECK HAD JUST BEEN DONE BY LOOKING AT THE PLANTS AND MULCH THAT SURROUNDED THE ENTIRE DECK. SAM DID THE DECK WITH METICULOUS QUALITY.

THEY CALLED ONCE TO GET DIRECTIONS TO MY HOME TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE BUT NEVER SHOWED UP AND DID NOT RETURN ADDITIONAL CALLS TO THE COMPANY.

I DON'T THINK IT'S VERY PROFESSIONAL TO STAND PEOPLE UP.

THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR. SAM WAS PROFESSIONAL, CONSULTATIVE, COURTEOUS, PROMPT AND FRIENDLY. WE CHOSE A PRODUCT THAT HE HAD NEVER USED BEFORE AND HE DID SEVERAL HOURS OF INVESTIGATION WITH THE PRODUCT MFG. TO INSURE THAT WE GOT THE BEST POSSIBLE RESULTS. HE ARRIVED WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD, HE CONSULTED ME ALONG THE WAY, INSURING MY HAPPINESS AT EVERY STEP. HE COMPLETED THE WORK FASTER THAN EXPECTED AND CLEANED UP SO AS TO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT WORK HAD BEEN DONE OTHER THAN THE FABULOUS RESULT. I'M ALREADY LOOKING FOR OTHER PROJECTS TO BRING HIM BACK TO DO. THANKS A MILLION, SAM.

I AM A PERFECTIONIST BUT SO IS SAM AND WE WERE MORE THAN PLEASED WITH THE JOB HE DID FOR US. I HAD NO FEARS ABOUT LEAVING HIM ALONE IN MY HOME. HE IS VERY NEAT AND A REAL PLEASURE TO HAVE AROUND.

WE GOT THREE ESTIMATES FROM ANGIE'S LIST FOR THE WORK, AND THEY WERE THE BEST OVERALL. HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND CHECKED BACK AFTERWARD FOR OUR SATISFACTION. VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE.

SAM IS VERY GOOD WITH THE WORK PERFORMED. ALSO FINISHED THE PROJECT ON TIME. VERY PLEASED WITH THE OUTCOME. WILL HIRE FOR FUTURE JOBS.

ALL FACTORS WERE POSITIVE. SAM WAS ON TIME EVERY DAY AND STAYED THE ENTIRE DAY (5 DAYS). THE CONDO WAS EMPTY OF FURNITURE, SO WE GAVE HIM A KEY, WE CHECKED AT DIFFERENT TIMES EACH DAY AND HE WAS HARD AT WORK. HE MOVED THE RANGE & REFRIGERATOR TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE WALL BEHIND. HE DID NOT SMOKE AND PROTECTED THE CARPET. VERY COURTEOUS.
