He will be back in a week to do the job.

What he did was very very good. We both forgot that I wanted him to put two more cross pieces of wood up. I called him back about three different times and have not heard back. He does excellent work, it just is not completed.

We have an older home, built in the '70s, with a lot of strange quirks and we didn't discover them until the old, built-in-place (crappy) cabinets were removed. The electric stove was wired directly to the breaker box, and the sink drain bypassed the garbage disposal and was connected to the copper pipe with an alloy fitting (almost totally corroded). (No wonder the sink was draining so slow!) Walt installed proper wiring and plumbing. In addition, we decided that half the hardwood floor needed to be replaced. Oh, and one wall had a very slight convex bow in it, that wasn't apparent at first, which required the counter top to be uninstalled, trimmed and reinstalled. Walt took everything in stride with good humor, even though the scope of the project increased a fair amount over the original projection. He worked the weekend in order to finish up as close as possible to the original target completion. And the charges for the additional work were very reasonable. (The original estimate was very competitive, as well.) I have a to-do list of maintenance and repairs needed on the "old hacienda" and I plan to schedule the work with Walt. He works hard, his prices are very reasonable, and the results are excellent.

I left Walt a message here on Angie's List and after a week he replied and told me to call him and he would set up a time to come do an estimate. I called him on March 4th and left a voicemail for him to call me. He never returned my call. I'm not begging anyone to take my business

This guy may be a good handyman, but he's a horrible business runner. Total lack of communication. He lacks the most basic ability for a business to actually "schedule" appointments. Hey Walt, Spend $100 and buy some scheduling software. So when people ask for your services, you can actually tell them when you can get to it.

Walt came out and explained what I needed as far as the stairs. He measured my garage ceiling to floor and to me what size to get and also the differences between the different types. I wouldn't have known otherwise. He came to install on a really cold day and got to work. He had to do a little electrical work to fit the stairs in the space. I'm very pleased that I called him. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. He even replaced the string on the light fixture up in the garage attic. I don't think most would have done that. Walt's a very nice man and will answer any questions so that the customer understands. He was on time and very professional. I will definitely call him again.

He did everything fine. He did a good job. He cut a hole in the floor and put new flooring down. He had his friend with him and she did all of the clean up. Very pleased and happy to have found him. You would never know he had been there based on the clean up.

He came in and did the job quickly. He fixed the hole in the basement wall. I would use him again.

Walt's Handyman Services seemed to be too busy to get to our job. We never discussed when he was coming out. He just never called back. I won't be using them in the future.

We asked Walt to come look at the jobs we needed to have done after reading his excellent reviews on Angie's List. We showed him the three areas which were giving us problems. He was quickly able to figure out just what was needed and gave us an estimate which we thought sounded very fair. It was during the Christmas Holiday and he was very busy, but said that he'd try to fit us in as soon as possible. He called about a week later to say that he could come the following Monday, but we hadn't purchased the new bathroom fan yet, so we asked him to wait until we did so that we could consolidate all of the work to one day. He understood completely and was very accommodating. We called him back when we had purchased the fan and he again slotted us into his schedule. He came at the exact time, (to the minute), that he promised. The work went smoothly and he finished more quickly than he expected, so he gave us a discount from the original estimate. (This was a nice surprise.) Walt is very experienced, careful and conscientious in his work and seems to know how to do just about everything He's very neat and tidy and when he's finished working everything is back just the way it was when he came. There was nothing for us to clean up. We feel fortunate to have found such a high quality handyman. We will definitely be hiring him again and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

All jobs completed quickly and professionally.

Plumbing from kitchen sink to sewer outlet clogged. Replaced and reconfigured system. Great work.

I called Walt as I was in a bind and needed repairs done to get the house ready to go on the market. He was extremely responsive, and although he had a busy schedule he was able to fit me in for the timeframe I needed. He came out on the day scheduled and was on time and very professional. He had everything he needed to start the work quickly. Most of the odds and ends I needed were completed on the first day, and he began to paint. He also picked up the paint I needed, and only charged me at-cost instead of the standard price for paint. While he was in the home, he quietly worked with little disruption to me, as I was working from home. The next day, he came to complete the job and again he was on time and professional. I needed a new closet door installed and he went and picked that up from the hardware store as well! The pressure wash was performed quickly and was thorough, the outside of my home looked 100 times better! Overall I was extremely satisfied and will recommend him to anyone needed repairs and handy work done!

This is the 2nd time we have used Walt. He knows his stuff. I had him working on one project and told them there was something else I wanted him to fix in the same area but would discuss it when he was finished with the first project. Without even telling him, he knew what was wrong. Also, we thought for sure our closet door would completely need to be replaced but he fixed it without us purchasing a new door.

It went GREAT!! Walt did a great job, extremely professional and provided a top quality finished result. He cleaned up the spaces where debris was created and even took the packaging from the microwave and broke down the boxes for recycling as required by the county. Besides the excellent service, I was also very pleased that he was able to accommodate my working schedule and did this job on a Sunday - how many companies do that without a premium charge?! Walt will be getting all of my business, I wouldn't hesitate using him again or endorsing him to anyone as well. Thank you Walt!!

tOur initial get-together for an extimate was delayed twice by Walts request. Nevertheless we got together, Walt looked at the job and promised a written estimate in 5 to 6 days. That was two weeks ago. No phone calls, e-mails, nothing. Our feelings are that if he didnt want the job just say so (c ould have just claimed he was too busy) and we would have moved on. Now with the holidays upon us the work will be delayed till the new year. We are unhappy with Walts Handyman Service.

It was initially difficult getting Walt scheduled to do the work, he is a one-man-band and quite busy. However, he was very upfront about his schedule and kept in contact with me as he said he would. He showed up about the time he said he would. I had no complaints about his punctuality, but I gave him a "B" rating only out of caution if other people want someone to start at 8:00 on the dot I couldn't say for sure if he would be that punctual or not. He installed the door which was a very wide door and included one sidelite. He did a good job, removing the old door, and installing the new one in about 3hrs. and at a very fair price. We were very pleased.

It was a ton of work and he did a great job of digging, pouring cement, and installation.

Walt is very professional and thorough. He arrived according to the time discussed but, prior to coming, text me to let me know he was en route. He is very friendly and just very pleasant to have do work around the house. He will definitely be my "go-to" person for any future house needs.

I've used Walt on a number of occasions for various projects on a house I was putting up for sale and then on my new home. On relatively short notice all came out and replaced a house full of light fixtures chandeliers to help make my home more marketable. His price was extremely reasonable and he cleaned up after himself. When I got into the new house the first thing I needed to do was replace 16 wall sconces and added three ceiling fans which did not have ceiling boxes. This review is for the ceiling fans and I really couldn't be happier. I went on Amazon and ordered three ceiling fans, Walt came over one night and installed each one without a problem. here's some very useful advice… If you're considering adding ceiling fans for chandeliers in places that do not already have an existing box think twice about calling electrician. They are more than happy to cut holes in your ceiling, put holes in the walls, and they will not repair drywall. Call an electrician asked them about the finish work after they're done and they'll tell you up front that they don't repair walls. That's why Walt is such a good alternative. He is a handyman that can do just about anything. If he makes a hole in your ceiling, your quote will include the repairs to the drywall in addition to your fan. It beats the heck out of calling two different guys for one job. Before I do any project around the house I call Walt and ask if its something he wants to handle and he will honestly tell you if it's outside his expertise. I asked him about building a shed and he told me I would be "better off just buying one from Lowe's"… You have to love that kind of honesty.

All went well Walt gave me some insight on a problem I may have in the future and how I can prevent it with prevention and less cost later on. Very pleased

Walt is incredibly busy and rightfully so. The level of his craftsmanship and pricing are superb. As such, his time is sparse and creates delays in projects. Despite, this, I will continue to use Walt, due to his level of professionalism, quality of work and his pricing. I highly recommend him for any work you may have in mind.

The upper hallway went smoothly, but the stairs presented more of a challenge. What was thought to be a straight forward stair tread to riser nail problem did not respond to the normal corrective action. Walt analyzed the situation and determined that the root cause of the creaking was a separation (shifting) of the stringers. He proceeded to toe-screw the treads to the stringers and this strengthened the stairs and eliminated the noise. I had called Walt in to eliminate the noises before new carpeting was laid. The carpet supplier and installers, plus numerous other flooring suppliers would not provide this service. A number of the suppliers would not even respond to my telephone calls. Walt is a real find and he is deserving of my continued business. I will definitely call him back for any future work I require.

I would give them straight A's. Actually, I'm having them come back out for some stuff.

Their pricing was very good and I believe he did a good job. He showed up when he said he was going to. He took care of the work and everything worked out well. It was a good experience.
