Cancelled on me first day had appt for 6 days. Cancelled 1.5 hrs before service. Agreed to appt for next day and cancelled again 2 hrs before service. He did not like my voice mail telling him that the previous day that we had taken furniture apart and I needed to know in next ten minutes if he was coming or not because he was not responding to text. Apparently if you have an appt and he doesn’t want to work late due to previous jobs taking longer he will cancel. And then gets his feelings hurt if you are blunt and none to happy about it. He said it would not be good business because he did not like my voice mail. I think he just did not want job. And it is not good business to cancel on someone 1.5 hrs before the work. Set another appt and cancel again. Beware. Not good business practice here

Our outside faucet was leaking badly whenever we turned it on. Bernie fixed the leak and also installed a shut-off valve inside, in the basement, so we can completely shut off that faucet in the winter.

Bernie's Plumbing was recommended by a friend, and we couldn't be happier with him. We used him for two smaller jobs in the past, and decided to contact him when we decided to replace an aging hot water heater that recently has been supplying only one shower's worth of hot water. Bernie said we could purchase our own new water heater if we wished to, but he could also purchase one for us and deliver it. We liked that idea and told him to go ahead. He brought a 50-gallon Bradford White gas water heater (apparently this brand is available only to contractors; it is made in USA). After installing the new water heater and explaining how we should maintain it, he also replaced the battery in our backup sump pump system (we purchased battery and acid and had it waiting for him). He also told us how to make sure the sump pump was operational. He was here for nearly 2 hours and total charge (including the price for the new hot water heater) was $740. We were very pleased. Very professional and courteous, along with reasonable prices. He gives a discount for seniors, military and veterans. Note: I told Bernie I would be offering a review on Angie's List and asked what area he covers. He said primarily Delaware County, but also will travel to Union, Marion and Crawford counties, and northern Franklin County (Morse Road and north).
Description of Work: Delivered and installed new gas hot water heater. Also replaced battery in our current battery backup system for our sump pump.
