Wired Krazy PLUS LLC

I needed an ethernet cable routed through my house and found Wired Crazy through the Internet. After talking with one of their representatives, we arranged to meet at my home on a Thursday around 5pm. Prior to their arrival, I was called and told they were running late and would be there at 7pm that evening. At five till seven, they called and rescheduled for the next day between 5 and 5:30 pm. The representative arrived on time and I explained what I need done and showed him the room where one end of the cable would terminate. Routing cable through a house requires "fishing" and crawling in attics and basements/crawl spaces, he should have known that. However, his first "solution" was to run the cable outside of the house, which is a very amateur approach, especially when the house is governed by an HOA (something he never asked about, but should have). His subsequent look in an attic space gave me the impression that it was the first time he had done so. He then wanted to run the cable through a closet, but outside of the walls - citing that he didn't like running cables in walls because he didn't know what he would find. After telling me how hard it is to find the walls from the attic and crawl space, I had to explain various techniques of doing so. He told me that he would send another guy out the following Monday to do the work after explaining to him what he should do. I asked for an estimate and he told me he would have to go back to the office and run the numbers. He then collected his $50 house-call fee. He never sent anybody, he never called back. I have run such cables in many of my houses and the job I needed done was actually quite simple, just required a lot of crawling around that I did not want to do. If Wired Crazy is as experienced as they state, the estimator would have been able to estimate the cable cost and an hour of labor without having to visit his office. My job would have been an easy, profitable job. I have no other conclusion but that they are incompetent cable runners, although they cite network cable on their website. If nothing else, they never stated that the work I requested was outside of their expertise. Update: Two weeks after the company was supposed to come back and do the work, they called to see if I was still interested. I pointed out that it had been two weeks since he had promised to return. His excuse was the hurricane and how it cause airports on the East Coast (we are in Central Ohio) to be shut down and they could not fly out to Germany because one of their customers needed them there. (Seriously, that is what he told me.) I pointed out that while they were stuck in one of those airports, he could have called his customer(s) he was otherwise ignoring. I have to say that I believe he was less than honest with me. On the bright side, he said he was not going to charge me the $50 house call fee.
