Landscaping, General Remodeling, Tree Service,

About us

We are a small company and like to get to know our clients on a personal level so we can get a better insite as to what the homeowner's vision is for their home and/or property. The owners are continuously on job sites and checking in with clients throughout the project. To date we have not used any sub contractors to do any work for us. Our employees have an array of skills that can cover almost anything. Billing depends on the project. For major home imporvement projects clients are billed in "Phases" via "Draws". Each phase of the project is planned out and a draw amount given for each phase. A draw is due a the beginning of each phase and there is one final payment due at the completion of the project. Small projects and home repairs are billed and due at completion. For management companies work will be billed and due within 30 days of billing. We will work with clients under special circumstances.

At first, he was great. He showed up and did the work. Things went well. He basically took the money and did not come back. He did not return on my calls. Before that happened, he was continually telling me that he needs more money from me. He gets angry with me when I would not give him more. It basically turned out very badly. He left without the work being completed, and he have taken my money. I had referred him to two of my neighbors, and he did the same thing with them.
Description of Work: I used Unlimited Possibilities for fencing and remodeling.

Dont hire him.
Description of Work: Jason over promises and under delivers. Sold himself as a general contractor. He consistently blew what should have been managable issues into catastropic problems which bought him more time and dragged a renovation project along for 2 months. He will try to do dry wall, but when you see someone working on smoothing the same spot for a week...you get an understanding that he is not skilled to do that. When you bring in people that can do dry wall, he ticks them off so much they wont come back to work. He took a week to tile the walls around the tub...and even after all that time the tiles were crooked and he did not caulk or finish the work. It looks terrible! He installed a faucet in my kitchen and somehow managed to disconnect the drain in the process, resulting in water running down into my basement for days. If you hire Jason, dont ever ask about progress, as when I did, he through a new 2 gallon bucket of paint on the ground, it exploded on my back walk, took all of his tools..and as many of mine as he could find, my Home Depot gifts cards (would not return them when I asked - so basically stole hundreds of dollars from me), and he demanded that his helpers go with him......two of the four left. One I was happy to see leave as he was the bozo who was powerwashing my house and used the powerwasher to get the paint chips off the shingles on my roof resulting in my having to have a roofer come out to replace shingles...really folks...you cant make this stuff up! The other guy, I was really sad to see leave....but it is ok...I knew at some point he would come back and he is now working to complete an enclosed porch and trim work. He is great! He left as he felt he had a loyatly since Jason brought him this work...but that did not last long as Jason screwed him out of $2000 for work he did on another project for Jason and Jason did not pay him. I have a ton of work for Rick so I plan to keep him busy for a long time..... The other two people who stayed, helped complete this project and have been instrumental on renovating two other houses since this one. I say good things happen to good people. I thought I would give Jason a chance....but I guess he took just one too many "smoke" breaks. (He chain smokes when he is in over his head...the last two weeks he was there....I never saw him work...he sat on the back porch smoking while he yelled at everyone else to work. I was able to get the house done within a week and a half after Jason left. It was a relief to see him go. If you hire him...make sure you get reciepts for everything you buy....I found that he purchased several things for his house, like driveway sealers, tools, etc...in addition to taking several thousands of dollars of my tools. That combined with me paying him an hourly rate to sit on the back porch and smoke, give me permission to say that I was ripped off....he started off strong, but fizzled toweard the end, which appears to be a common thread when I look at other reviews.

Description of Work: The person never returned our calls after we gave him a down payment of $1500.00 Finally, we had to leave a stern warning on their answering service; in 5 days the owner (Jason) got back to us, but set up another appointment that he didn't, couldn't keep. He sent out a rep. who did some of the mulch, but the job done was not worth the money down payment that was given them. They are yet to put in a tree that we ordered and probably paid for, but 4 months later-- no tree. I would never call on this person again. We lost money on this deal, plus, the owner never got back to us once the mulch was put down. When the worker finished with 3/4 of the mulch, we never heard back. The work done was minimal for the money; then, no follow-up or return. We also heard rumors that there was a split in the company; there were 2 owners, I believe, originally. The name of the other owner is unknown. I guess it's a lesson learned! We didn't get his name from Angie's List, but wish we would have done so!

Nearly all work was done in a professional and timely manner except the last remaining mugo pine has not been installed. I have made several attempts to reach Jason and haven't connected. His website and phone number listed on Angie's List does not work.I am involved with our civic association and have recommended this company to our 122 members. In addition to my uncompleted work, two others members contacted me regarding uncompleted work or no call back and in one instance, work that was mostly all paid for in advance and five weeks later is not complete. A member reported that the phone number and web address he was given was not responding. I gave him the phone number that I have and Jason did contact him...but as of 5.25.2012 the tree still has not been planted and mulch work is not complete. Our association has contracted with this company to perform some landscaping work at our entrances. We will be watching carefully to insure that this work is done satisfactory.Last year (2011) I had similar problems with this company in getting a tree stump removed for a tree that was removed in the September, the stump was not removed until December after several phone calls to Seth Anthony who is no longer with the company. Again the phone numbers had changed and the web site did not respond. Suggestion:When contracting with vendors, avoid paying them up front if possible and hold off payment until work if performed.
Description of Work: Removed crab-apple tree and replanted 2 new crab-apple trees. Removed a 4x5 section of concrete sidewalk and replaced it with new concrete. Added new downspouts on 3 drops (In-ground). Removed dead arborvitaes and replaced with 6 new ones. Purchased 3 new mugo pines.

See report above.
Description of Work: I truly want to give this company an A+. I was very impressed INITIALLY with the response I got from Jason (owner). We had a crushed pipe under our driveway that was causing our sump pump to back up into the landscaping up close to the house. We got our estimate in mid-September. Work was to be done as soon as the forecast called for two rain free days in a row. We had so much rain in the fall and then a week long vacation delayed our work well into October. There were a couple of opportunities for Jason and crew to do the work but he had other projects scheduled so the work was delayed much longer than either of us had anticipated or hoped. I was very understanding and told Jason it was not his fault that Mother Nature was not cooperating. The work was finally done in late October. I expressed concern about our driveway being torn up during Halloween as I was concerned for the safety of the children. Jason told me that the work would be done in one day and he would bring a big crew if necessary to get the job done or he would work Saturday as well so that there would not be an issue. The work was not completed on Friday and they simply left a torn up driveway and taped it off until the following week. After the work was finally done I was promised that a power washing and a "cutting" of the driveway (for stress lines) would be done within two weeks. The power washing was done in that timeframe after repeated calls and inquiries from me. The stress cuts were made sometime in December after I sent an email plainly stating my dissatisfaction. I want to stress that the work that was done was satisfactory. They do a good job. My issue is with follow up and concern for customer satisfaction. I feel once payment was received we were no longer important. It's a shame because I truly was considering a bathroom remodel and some landscaping changes in the Spring. I just don't feel as though they truly appreciated our business once payment was received. We paid a lot of money for this repair/project and are very disappointed at the lack of concern/regard we received.

I've met with the co-owner Seth Thomas on our homeowners association street tree project. Seth has been wonderful to work with Today they removed a tree in my yard. Very careful to not distrub the landscape beds. Very good cleanup.
Description of Work: Had them remove a dead crab apple tree from my yard.

In the beginning, we called them out. The owner walked around our property with us and he took notes as we pointed out all that we wanted to have done. Within two days, we had our quote. When we called them to accept their bid, we made arrangements for the date and time for the project to begin and be completed. As outlined above, they showed up and finished the job on time. We were always consulted during the project to make sure everything was to our liking.
Description of Work: We had neglected our yard for many years, so we had lots of work that had to be done: beds weeded, cleaned, and redefined, large, dead evergreens removed, tree and bush shaping and deadwood removed, etc. The work crew showed up as promised and the work was done in 2 days. Both the business owners and the crew supervisor kept us up-to-date on every stage of the project. They always wanted to make sure all the work on the quote was complete and to our satisfaction. Our yard has never looked so good! They were efficient, courteous, and economical. We have already received a quote for additional work to be done and we plan to have them do that job, as well.
