Chipmunks were nesting and we decided to wait until they vacate on their own but we also found that there were field mice trying to get in. So he sealed around the fireplace and around the basement because they found that there were evidence that they had got in. He often cleaned all those areas and basically did a quotation with us and we agreed it. He would come back after another time once the chipmunks had vacated and get something else to seal up the house and outside so they are not again in.
Description of Work: We had chipmunks and we had Humane Wildlife Solutions for getting rid of them.

Adam came out promptly and timely and was extremely professional. He inspected the attic and the outside of the house and determined a squirrel was the culprit. A 1-way door was installed and he will be back in 5 days to uninstall and cap the eave where the problem was occurring. Overall, excellent experience and we would HIGHLY recommend Adam and HWS.
Description of Work: We had a hole in one end cap of our eaves and sparrows had been nesting there since last spring. Additionally, an animal of some type had been heard in the early morning and late night in the attic. We heard horror stories of what other animal extraction companies do (drownings, etc) and wanted the issue taken care of humanely.

We contacted HWS and immediately spoke with Adam who explained our options and the fee for the initial inspection. Adam came out the following week and inspected two attics and our roof for all possible points of entry. After the inspection he showed us pictures of the potential entry points and explained the eviction procedure. A one-way door was installed at the main entry point and four other areas were repaired to prevent future entry. Adam was able to complete all of the work the same day as the inspection. A week later he came back to follow up and to remove the one-way door and install a more permanent barrier. We have not heard any squirrels in our attic since HWS came out and did the initial work. The squirrel has come back to the original point of entry but has not been able to gain access or entry to the attic space. We are very pleased with the services provided. The cost was very reasonable, and the work is warranted for a specific period of time. Great experience!

I went to bed one evening and heard scratching above my head. I had heard that sound before and knew it was a raccoon. (This was our 3rd raccoon in 27 years of living here.) I got out of bed and got online to check Angie's List. Since we have had raccoons before, I knew I didn't want to have the animal harmed. I found Humane Wildlife Solutions listed on Angie's list as a humane alternative to trapping and euthanizing raccoons. I called and left a message. Adam called back in 3 hours and made an appointment for several days later. He explained that there were many people with raccoons in their attics so he couldn't come that day. I understood completely. Adam and Brandon arrived, as scheduled, at 8:30 AM. Adam went directly to the attic to assess the situation. He found the point of entry and the raccoon sleeping in the attic. Adam and Brandon went to the roof to check the area where the raccoon had entered and to check for any other areas that were breached. They didn't find any other areas that were lacking in barriers. Adam went back into the attic to make noise and to deodorize. He hoped that the raccoon would leave while he was there. The raccoon would not leave so they installed a one-way "door" leading out of the attic. This would allow the raccoon to leave but not re-enter. Adam explained that a raccoon might stay up to 3 days but he hoped that the raccoon would be so upset that its "den" was disturbed that it would leave that night. The raccoon did not leave that night. However, the next night all I heard was silence from above. The raccoon had, indeed, left. I haven't heard noises since. Adam came back today (a week after the initial service) and removed the one-way door. He screened the entry point to exclude any other animals. He told me that there is a 5-year guarantee for that exclusion area. Adam is very knowledgeable, friendly and hard-working! He answered all my questions about my situation and even general questions about the business. Humane Wildlife Solutions is a wonderful company doing a needed service with compassion for animals. The price I paid was more than fair. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.
Description of Work: Adam from Humane Wildlife Solutions went into our attic to confirm that a raccoon had "moved in". He checked for a route of entry and even took a picture of the raccoon. Adam and Brandon went onto the roof to secure the entry point with a one-way "door" so the raccoon could leave the attic but not get back in. Adam came back a week later to remove the one-way door and secure the entry point so no other animals could get into the attic.

We have had birds nesting in our attic for the past 2 summers, and were worried that there might be other critters living up there also. A team of 2 showed up as promised. They searched the outside and inside of the house/attic for animals and entry points. They found a total of 3 entry points which they covered so no new animals could get in. They did not find any sign of mammals living in the attic, but did find several birds nests, etc. Nothing living at the moment. They carefully removed and haulded away the "trash" they found. We were very pleased with the service and the price.
Description of Work: They searched for entry points to our Attic for birds and other animals. They removed bird nests, etc They placed wire netting over entry points to prevent further problems.

This turned out so much better than I thought. Adam was very professional. He arrived on time and explained in detail everything that he was doing. He showed me pictures of the attic (accessible only through the ceiling) and where the den was. The 'c*** had only been up there for a week and a half, so there wasn't any significant damage. Adam inspected for chewed electrical wires, insulation damage, etc. I really appreciate that the aninals weren't harmed in anyway. I called on a Monday and got an appointment on Thursday. I would definitely use this service again.
Description of Work: Adam came out to investigate what I thought were squirrels in my attic. He found a mama raccoon with 4 babies. He was able to move the babies into a relocation box on the roof in order to give mom time to move the babies to a new den. The relocation box protected the babies from the bad weather while they waited for mom. Adam explained that he would be back every day to check and if she didn't move all of the babies, he would take them to the wildlife center so they could be cared for until old enough to be released. Fortunately, mom moved all of the babies the next morning. Adam installed fencing over the attic vent in order to prevent new occupants from entering.

I liked the fact that they didn't kill them. They were prompt in coming out. They went up into my garage, and confirmed that there was a mother raccoon and 3 or 4. They told me exactly what they were going to do. He removed her promptly; within an hour. He put the babies in a box on top of the roof. He told me that she would come back by morning and move the babies some where else; sure enough she did. He covered the spot in my overhang where she got in. He was quick, efficient, and humane. He seemed to know his business. The raccoon did exactly what he said she was going to do. He put some nice coverings up so that she could not get back in

We're extremely professional and thorough and nice. That rather loud scratching noise we heard coming from our bedroom ceiling ended up being mice. They determined that they are coming from our ground level and climbing all the way to the attic by finding birdseed from our bird feeder in the attic. Unfortunately, they do not remove animals not native to Ohio (mice or rats). However, the $75 we spent ends up going to help rehab wild animals at the Ohio Wildlife Center. These guys are great. Would call them again in a second!

They were fabulous! They set a trap that only allows the squirrels get out and not get back in the attic. After a couple of weeks went by, they came back and closed the area with screening so the squirrels can not get back in. We haven't had any problems since, and I was very impressed with them.

We had a bat trapped in our chimney behind a nonfunctional gas fireplace and called to ask what to do. The person actually did not send a technician even though that was what we were calling about, but said that the bat would probably get out on its own during the night and to call in the morning if it didn't. They also gave me a lot of information on the bat and how to keep it calm so it would be more likely to leave. The bat did end up leaving due to their suggestions and we were very pleased with their help.

We have had several men and businesses try to re-fasten the vinyl siding, etc., but nothing has worked to keep the raccoons out. Hopefully, Dave's wire meshing will finally give us some peace of mind.
Description of Work: We've had problems with raccoons getting into our attic for 10 years and had a bad experience with a company that was going to kill the raccoons after trapping them, so Humane Wildlife Solutions was perfect for us. We called them on a Sunday morning after baby raccoons were falling out of our attic because the mother went missing. Dave West came and did a complete inspection and said he could get the remaining babies out and put up wire meshing in the four areas where they were getting into the attic. He worked several hours on a warm Sunday afternoon and completed the work and it is guaranteed to keep raccoons out for 5 years. He had to leave the 4 baby raccoons in a box on our roof overnight to see if the mother would come back for them. He came back the next day, learned the mother had not retrieved them, and took them to the Ohio Wildlife Center to be raised and eventually released to the wild.

They seem like very nice people. However, I had raccoons under my house/deck. The gentleman I talked to said it would likely cost me around $360 and the raccoons would only be released out a one way door into my yard (so not far away or removed/relocated)> I feared they would just become a neighbors problem. The man I talked to, David, was very nice. However, we made an appointment for a consult and he never called or showed up at the designated time. I always find that disheartening when people don't keep commitments.

They told me that their company does not trap chipmunks, but only installs barriers around the property to exclude them. Their estimate to do this work would have run around $3,000 and would have disrupted several planting beds. I was unhappy that the company's services were not explained to me when I spoke to David to make the appointment. I was still required to pay for the inspection.

This guy is incredible! Professional, courteous, on-time and very reasonable. He releases animals and doesn't euthanize. Watching him remove this raccoon was something straight out of a wildlife tv show. His catcher tool didn't get the Wiley raccoon at first, so he put on gloves and caught the angry animal with his hands! He calmly carried him out to his truck and put him quietly into the cage. He smiled and said the poor guy was probably a little dehydrated and would be much better soon. I'd recommend him to anyone!

He did a thorough search and found no direct hole in any of the three attics. One place was suspicious, so he checked from the outside (tall ladder) and found it to be sound. I will need to get a roof person to walk around on top of the roof and check for loose flashing or such. He found no trace of my missing mouse trap.
Description of Work: I was troubled by red squirrels in my attic. I needed a consultant to look and find where they were getting in. My house is an old two story, gabled, with three attics. Anymore, I am unable to get up there. Also, something hauled my expensive wire mouse trap away from the main access hole, trying to get out the peanut butter bait, I suppose.

OTHER COMPANIES CHARGED MORE TO SET THE TRAP, THEN HUMANE SOLUTIONS CHARGED FOR THE ENTIRE JOB. OTHER COMPANIES CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES TO CHECK THE TRAP & RETRIEVE THE ANIMAL. ALL OTHER COMPANIES EUTHANIZE THE ANIMAL, BUT HUMANE SOLUTIONS HAS LAND OWNERS, WHO HAVE GIVEN PERMISSION TO RELEASE THE ANIMALS. PART OF THE MONEY GOES TO THE OHIO WILDLIFE CENTER, WHICH CARES FOR INJURED ANIMALS.

HE RESPONDED WITHIN AN HOUR OF MY CALL, AND WAS PROFESSIONAL AND INFORMATIVE REGARDING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF OPOSSUMS. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OPOSSUMS REMOVED FROM MY YARD, AND THIS COMPANY WAS WITHIN THE PRICE RANGE OF THE OTHERS. THE DIFFERENCE WAS THAT THE ANIMAL WOULD NOT AUTOMATICALLY BE PUT TO SLEEP. THE CHARGE WAS THE TOTAL SERVICE CALL, WITH NO ADDITIONAL AMOUNT PER ANIMAL, AS SOME COMPANIES CHARGE.
