In the past, we have had customer service disagreements with Orkin but kept using them because we really liked our service provider, Larry. Larry unfortunately retired a few months ago. Since then, we've had 2 technicians service our house. They provided acceptable service except were a no-show this month--calling to cancel the day of the scheduled service (4/17/15)--and didn't call to reschedule. I just called to cancel the service entirely, and the main office personnel were obviously not willing to let my $600 per year go easily. They put me on hold for 4 minutes then said they required a 30-day cancellation notice. I wasn't going to be persuaded since they were the company that didn't fulfill their end of the contract by not showing up as scheduled. Instead of treating me as a customer whose business they appreciate, my calls to their front office have typically been met with dismissiveness and hostility. I will take my business elsewhere.

My representative comes for free if something is wrong and checks to make sure everything is good. They remember who I am and they are very personable.

They were reliable when they came here. They also seem to be effective in the services they provide.
