The gentleman that visited my house was professional and qualified. I would recommended the company to anyone that needs a home inspection.

Inspector went to the home early from when we agreed to meet and when we got there said he was almost done with the inspection, would have liked to go through the house with him. After living in the home for a year and a half realized there were things missed that I wish he would have caught during the inspection. Polite and answered questions but not happy with him starting without us when we agreed to meet at a certain time and not happy with quality of inspection.

As a first-time home buyer, I knew I needed to hire an experienced and knowledgeable home inspector. Cameron came out to my almost 90 year old house in Clintonville and spent three and a half hours with me. Being a newbie homebuyer, I peppered him with a million questions which he answered with patience and understanding. All inspectors at Flinn Inspection Group have experience in the construction industry, so Cameron's inspection and advice were all extremely thorough. He cautioned me against refinishing the floors myself, as they were somewhat thin and perhaps would not tolerate an aggressive sanding. He showed me where past repairs had been done on the house and whether they were done to code AND repaired well. He even advised me on possible improvements to increase the value of the house. At the time I called, they were offering a free thermographic survey, so I asked for it. Cameron brought an infrared camera and cranked up the heat in the house. We were able to see how well the furnace pushed heat through all the vents and even cold spots in the walls with thin insulation. The next day, I received a 22 page inspection report, complete with photos and a list of priority repairs, improvements, and maintenance. Like I said, this was my first time buying a house and hiring a home inspector, but if you are looking for an inspector with experience that will be thorough and find all the little things, Call Flinn Inspection Group.

The worker came on time & got to work right away.He was friendly,pleasant & was willing to answer all my questions.The inspection was for a house I am in contract to purchase.He was very thorough & checked the house top to bottom,front to back,left to right.He was able to find all the major & minor things wrong which helped tremendously with my negotiations with my purchase.I would definitely reuse them & recommend them to others.

From start to finish, everyone associated with Flinn Inspection Group was positive and professional. This includes the initial contact with Christian, scheduling done by Regan, and the actual inspection done by Cameron. The 20 page report generated by Cameron was thorough and well organized. The inspector's observations were supported by color photos. Recommendations were carefully broken down into safety issues, necessary repairs, desirable improvements and items to monitor. Very helpful information for any homeowner; vital information for the homebuyer. Top notch work in terms of both presentation and substance. I should mention that I'm a realtor, and booked this inspection on behalf of a client. Both my client and I were very pleased with the inspection. In addition to Cameron's obvious expertise, he was personable and easy to work with; and patiently answered all of our questions. Cameron arrived early and was prepared to start the inspection as soon as we arrived. He was courteous and professional. He was knowledgeable about every area in our home and was able to answer our many questions. I especially like that he helped us understand what concerns need our attention right away and what concerns are long-term maintenance issues. I initially contact Flinn (christian) several months ago and inquired about costs for inspection services. We had submitted an offer on a home and it did not go through. The other offer fell through and we entered into contract on the house on Saturday. I emailed Christian Sunday morning and he responded almost immediately. Timing was critical as closing was scheduled to be quite soon. Christian rearranged his schedule to accommodate a Monday morning inspection. Cameron arranged access and arrived onsite, He performed a thorough inspection and when we arrived explained key items of concern. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He counseled us on the issues and suggested that certain specialties should be contacted (e.g., electrician). They promised the inspection report within 24 hours and we had it electronically first thing the next morning. The report was VERY VERY detailed and explained the issue and as appropriate, the remedy needed. The report included an executive summary and then a detailed description and photos illustrating the problem. Extremely professional. He was prompt, thorough and extremely detailed. His report was timely and broken down Ina way that was easy to deal with and get issues resolved. Well worth the money. We would recommend and use again.

First, Christian (I believe the owner) responded promptly but was in the midst of airport travel so he deferred me to his "office". His office (Dana) was quick to respond and was able to "squeeze" in a home inspection before the week's end. Cameron was the home inspector and he was thorough, professional and very helpful in all his explanations. He arrived before I even got there, and I was early! HIs report was fantastic, included pictures and categorized faults as "important" vs. "eventually needs addressed" vs. "in the future maintenance". We actually got the report within 24hours of the inspection via email. I would absolutely recommend this company. He was very professional and thorough. I was completely satisfied with his inspection. When it came to fixing the issues with the house I went straight off his report. The pictures were easy to see what was being described. Made the guessing work go out of the window. I appreciate the time he took and made sure I understood the report. It was emailed to us within hours.

luMy husband had contacted Flinn HI Gp - along with two other companies - from Angie's List, one of which we'd used previously. Christian responded the same day. The company we'd used before never responded so Christian's promptness was appreciated, as we are under a tight timeline. Just as other customers have described, Christian explained what he was going to do. We'd been through a few home inspections before so I think he was 'ok' w/us not following him around initially. His associate, Cameron, was with him so it took less time that we originally thought but they were - as it's been described by others - very thorough. After they were done they did take us through and explain their concerns and we made sure to ask questions. Both gentlemen were super-nice and, as someone else mentioned, did not make us feel 'dumb' for asking questions! Their report is very easy to read and we'll be able to hand it to someone to 'check off' things as we need to get repairs. I was very pleased with the inspection. I had a week's time to get this done and he called back immediately and was able to schedule it. One positive thing that he did was that he set up the radon test beforehand so that it was done by the time he finished the home inspection. His inspection was very thorough, and he included the name of the appliances that were staying as well as the brand of the appliance so we could get the manuals for those appliances. I was happy with the pictures and the different descriptions for the categories he used. I would definitely use them again. He had the report emailed to me within 12 hours, including the radon and termite testing.

Upon arriving at the home to do the inspection, Christian introduced himself and gave us an overview of what he would do and cover. Then, he invited us to follow along and ask any questions that we might have. He used various tools and equipment as he went around the home, testing everything and he took pictures that were later included in the report. When all was said and done, he sent us the report via email within 24 hours. Christian was very down to earth, yet professional. He was easy to talk to and we never felt like any of our questions were "dumb". I would recommend this company to anyone needing a pre-purchase home inspection on short notice.

I can't say enough good things about Christian. Incredibly professional and informative and perfectly nice. Such a good dude. You can tell just from talking with him for a short time how great he is at what he does. You'd be crazy to use anyone else.

Christian was great. He was very thorough, answered all of our questions, and took plenty of pictures. He also took the time to show us how everything worked in the home (for example, how to turn off the gas). He was also available after the fact for follow up questions.

I was pleased and encourage by the guy that I walked around with, he explained what was good and what was bad. He gave me good advice and what to keep an eye out on things in the future.

We were looking into buying a bank-owned home as our first house. We had to work within a very tight schedule and Mr. Flinn was extremely accommodating. He was very personable and professional and allowed me to follow along while he was working and answered my many questions. While I declined to have an official inspection of the garage (which would have cost an additional fee), Mr. Flinn still spent the time to point out different aspects on it which could be improved. He emailed us a 21 page inspection report with pictures early the next morning.

This was our second go-around with a home inspection in one month. The first inspection was with a different company and we chose to pull out of contract on the home because so many issues came up. When we went into contract on a second home, we called the same inspector and hoped he would give us a minor discount on the cost, seeing as we just did business with him. two weeks prior. No such luck, and he rubbed us the wrong way. This, as well as the great reviews on Angie's List, is why we decided to try Flinn Home Inspection Group instead. After the inspection, I am more than happy to add onto the positive reviews! Christian was very responsive in setting up a time and confirming everything. He arrived early and did a thorough job. He encouraged us to ask questions and participate in the process with him, answering all of our questions and explaining everything on a level we could understand. Not only was he great at his job, he was friendly and personable as well. He asked us at the beginning of the process why we chose him. We recounted the story about how we found him on Angie's List and our not-so-great experience with the previous inspector. At the end of the inspection, he gave us a discount and told us he'd give us the break our previous inspector hadn't. We were so grateful and appreciated his thoughtfulness. I would recommend him without hesitation (even if he hadn't added in that little discount for us!)

Christian was great! He located each and every issue with this house - stuff that we never would have thought of. Gave us much more information for our purchase and things that should be remedied before purchase and things that can wait, and safety issues, such as trip hazards and non-working GFCI outlets. Will definitely recommend!

As soon as I went into contract on a townhouse in Hilliard, I started researching home inspectors. I contacted a few but Flinn Inspection Group stood out. I was impressed by Mr. Flinn's professionalism and quick response to my inquiry. He made himself available to do my condo inspection on short notice during this busy season for reputable home inspectors. I appreciated all the modes of communication used to confirm the transaction (phone, text, email). On the day of the inspection, Mr. Flinn arrived promptly at the agreed upon time with all his equipment. Despite the setback of physically getting into the condo, I was again impressed by Mr. Flinn's professionalism and care and problem-solving skills. Great qualities to have in someone assigned to tell you if your home is safe or not! He was very thorough in explaining his process and encouraged questions. He even offered his fancy measuring tape for my use! The entire inspection lasted about 2hrs. Mr. Flinn was very focused and professional, yet personable and very friendly. His determination to figure out the gas fireplace was fierce. It showed that he cared about doing the most thorough inspection which I appreciated. He even inspected the exterior, even though the association takes care of those repairs and maintenance. It was nice to know those findings. At the end of the inspection, he returned to the basement to inspect what damage if any all the plumbing testing he did upstairs caused. He also reviewed with me how to turn off the gas and water to the home. I received the inspection report via email the following morning. Faster than I expected. It was extremely thorough with a list of items that need attention in the immediate and near future. It also included photos with points of concern highlighted. That provided great evidence in my remedy request to the sellers. All in all, as a first-time homebuyer, I am extremely satisfied with the level of service provided. I would definitely hire Flinn Inspection Group again for my future home inspections! Thanks again, Christian!
