Description of Work: They installed some prehung doors.

Description of Work: I contacted Bill to do a bid for a HUD house we are purchasing "as is" using a renovation loan. He came out on 7/12/13 to discuss the work that needed to be done and looked at the house. I told Bill that I would need his bid soon in order to compare to other bids and submit it to underwriting. He said ok and he would email me some numbers. On July 17th I sent a follow up email to check the status of the bid. I never received a response. On the morning of July 19th I called and spoke to a female and explained that I was waiting on a bid. She said Bill was on a project and she would have him call me back. As of today July 20th I have not heard back from Bill and due to lack of follow I do not want to do business with this company.

Description of Work: They came in and did a good job. If there were any issues he tried his best to get them fixed.

Description of Work: Fix it Right Construction put in a fence for me.

Description of Work: New roof, HVAC system, mold remediation, drywall, painting, framing, plumbing repairs, and dishwasher installation.

Description of Work: Renovation - fixing holes in walls, patching all walls, removing carpet, tearing out a partial wall, painting, fixture replacement and faucets, sinks, counter tops, and installing carpet.

Description of Work: In reading this man's response to my entry entered on 2/3/13, he absolutely cannot be trusted. Every item he addressed in his response is a version of reality. There were varying degrees of the scope of work we discussed as it was a very large project. Never once did I ask him to do that in a way that was not above board. I never had the other contractor take off permits- Permits are listed on a seprate line item on both work orders he submitted. As it relates to the materials, he wanted me to give him all of the cash up-front and admittedly planned to pocket any difference in cost from the budgeted materials. When I asked what would keep him from putting low quality materials in in order to maximize profits, he screamed at me and told me I had already agreed to give him the job and I couldnt question him at this point. I was never rude to that man until he made me feel unbelievably uncomfortable. The other "unlicensed contractor" he referenced was my cousin who wasnt "doing work" rather fixing a leaky faucet. Its amazing that in not speaking to him at all, he knew that he was unlicensed. Hes actually been a licenses plumber for 17 years. I was trying to be as nice as possible in my first entry on this contractor. A D was very generous. Do not use this guy. He is a bad egg to say the least. I wholeheartedly agreed to his 30% profit and would have tiped him well on top of giving him plenty more jobs had he been a decent, trustworthy human being. In reading his response and seeing the true lack of integrity of this man- I am beyond happy I got out when I did. Beware- he is not an honest man!

Description of Work: We had them install new dimensional roof, new ceramic tile in both bathrooms, mold remediation in basement,new HVAC system, basement remodel and some handy man repairs.

Description of Work: I used Fix it Right Columbus, at the end of last year. They did carpeting, redid an entire bathroom , and replaced the siding on the house.

Description of Work: We have a double decker garage and needed the upper level gutted and refinished for a mother-in-law suite. This included demolition of the old ceiling, which was then replaced with a very nice raised ceiling that included recessed lighting. They installed drywall, a sub-floor, new windows, a sliding glass door, and french doors. After knocking through a brick wall and framing the entrance leading to the master bedroom, they installed a stained glass door. I had ordered a matching stained glass octagon window which they installed - this required vinyl siding on the outside to complete, and it looks finished, professional and beautiful.

Description of Work: BILL CAME IN AND DID A 203K LOAN RENOVATION FOR US! WE HAVE BEEN SO HAPPY WITH THE KEEPING OF TIMELINES AND HIS WILLINGNESS TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND HIS DUTIES. HE HAS FOUND UNDERLYING PROBLEMS WITH OUR HOME THAT THE INSPECTOR DID NOT CATCH AND HE HAS FIXED THOSE FOR US AT NO COST OTHER THAN PARTS. HE IS RENOVATING THE INSIDE OF OUR 2,000 SQUARE FOOT HOME IN 7 DAYS! WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH BILL AND HIS COMMUNICATION ON PROGRESS AND QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS, HE IS FANTASTIC! IF YOU ARE DOING A RENO OR 203 K THERE IS NO ONE I WOULD RECOMMEND MORE HIGHLY THAN FIX IT RIGHT!

Description of Work: The contractor had to completely overhaul the interior and exterior of the property we were buying.

Description of Work: I had my half bath completely renovated. Bill Replaced my Vinyl flooring with ceramic floor. He also put in a new vanity and painted the bathroom. The entire project took 3 days from start to finish and they cleaned up real nice after. The workers were on time and very professional.
