 + -1 moreDonovan Lawn Sprinklers is the BEST. Fast, friendly, professional, affordable... this company cannot be beat! He worked in the pouring rain and just kept finding more and more damage that I caused. He just kept repairing and testing the system until it was perfect again. Donovan Lawn Sprinklers is as good as it gets!
Description of Work: Replaced THREE sprinkler heads and two cuts in the line after I rented an edger for my flower beds and proceeded to destroy the entire system!

 + -1 moreAbsolutely fabulous to work with. I have an old sprinkler system in my house (that he did not install). He arrived promptly, worked quickly and was very professional. Even though I have an old system and heads are starting to crack, he didn't advise replacing it, just giving it "tender loving care". He fixed all the busted heads in my system (required a second appointment since there were many to take care of), some heads just required small tweaks like reconnecting a loose wire. Looking at the bill, I don't even think he charged for the really small stuff. And things like replacing a nozzle he charge $1.85. This guy is really nice, honest, does what needs to be done and is more than fair in how he bills his services. Highly, highly recommended.
Description of Work: Turned on our sprinkler system and tested it thoroughly ($65) Noticed a number of busted/non-functional heads and repaired all of them. ($26)

 + -1 moreThe repair and system start up went very well. Pat didn't install the original system (I wish he had), however, he will be taking care of it and fixing it going forward.
Description of Work: The back flow valve for my sprinkler system and the shut off valve below it were both cracked and needed to be replaced. I called Pat on a Sunday night and he called back Monday morning to get the address so he could stop in and take a look. He arrived at the house shortly thereafter and fixed the issues. He also checked the entire system and found a broken sprinkler head - he replaced that as well.

 + -1 moreI found him three years ago and I have been using him since. He is extremely good; he is excellent. He comes out twice every year. He charges $45 per visit. He starts the system during one visit. He does all the necessary checks on the sprinkler. His second visit is during winter. He drains and closes the system. He is very knowledgeable, economical and highly dependable. I am very happy with him. Of all the people I have contacted so far, he has been the best. He has been outstanding. I will continue to use him in the future.

 + -1 moreHis price was very competitive. We saw 3 different quotes, and we just felt pretty comfortable with him. We asked him to come out after my husband had finished doing another project. He came out and did the work for us. He was very knowledgeable. His crew was good. He was on site the whole time, which is very appreciable. He made sure all the other guys were doing their job. On the last day of the job, I asked him if he wanted payment. He told me not to worry and told that he will come back the next day and talk to my husband. Money wasn?t the greatest concern for him.

We went with Donovon because he was very trustworthy, honest, and subitted a solid quote that would do the best job to water our lawn.

 + -1 moreI previously was using another irrigation company to do my start up, shut down and repairs. That company became non responsive and extremely expensive. This last year I contacted Pat Donovan, owner of Donovan Lawn Sprinkler Co., and am extremely happy with all aspects of their work. This last service call was to fix a break in underground elbow connecting to one of the sprinkler heads. I called them at 7:45 am and they were here at 10:30am and repaired the break promptly and professionally. Mr. Donovan always returns my calls promptly when I call and leave a message. While they were here, we cycled through all the zones to make sure there weren't any other problems.
Description of Work: I had a leak in my irrigation system and had it repaired by them.

 + -1 moreWe could not have asked for a better company to address issues with our sprinkler system. They are permanently on our list!
Description of Work: We had a leaky sprinkler system and called Mr. Donovan for a quote. I was unsure of how expensive the repair job was going to be and the sprinkler system wasn't even turned on for the summer due to this issue. Mr. Donovan came in promptly and forget about the quote, - He worked efficiently to fix the problem within an hour. He not only fixed the leak issue, but also addressed various other problems such as the sprinker spray blocked by an overgrown shrub (he got down and got his hands, knees dirty and moved the sprinker head to a different location.) He also turned on the sprinkler system for the entire yard and positioned the sprinker heads direction, angle, force for the complete coverage. He then walked me through the auto programming several times to ensure that I got it right. All this for $50! which I couldn't believe. I also found out that his rates were less than half of other companies, for turning off/on the sprinkers. So, Mr Donovan is permanently on our list and we will be using his services on a regular basis going forward.

 + -1 moreIt took Pat and his crew a day and a half to install the system. They were very neat. They laid tarps on the grass to hold the dirt they dug. It has been about 3 weeks since Pat laid the system and the lawn has almost totally revived, you can barely see where the yard was dug. The system has a sensor that turns off the timer for that session if it rains. I don't have to do anything. Donovan Lawn Sprinklers also has a service plan that turns off the system in the fall and back on in the spring for under $100. The owner is on site and hands on. He is knowledgeable about plumbing (he was licensed as a plumber before starting this company) which put me at ease when he connected the system to the main water line in my finished basement. I am very particular about my yard and I would reccomend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: I needed a sprinkling system for my front yard and the plant beds in front of the house (I live on 5 acres so doing the whole yard was out of the question). Pat Donovan came out and gave me an estimate the same week I called. His price was very good.

I had gotten a quote from another company, and frankly, Pat's suggestions and solutions were smarter and less costly. His bid was half of what the other company wanted, and he was knowledgeable, personable, and honest. We agreed that he would do the work in a couple of weeks, and even with all the rain, Pat found a way to get my little job done between his larger ones, and under budget! We are totally pleased with the irrigation work, and highly recommend Donovan Lawn Sprinklers as your first choice.

 + -1 moreI am very pleased with the completed system and the installation process. During the installation process, I made 2 changes. Pat handled this graciously despite having to redo some work. Pat's price was the lowest of 3 quotes and I was completely satisfied. I was happy, too, that he followed up in October to do the winterization ($90 to winterize and reopen in the spring).
Description of Work: Pat installed 9 irrigation areas. These were located on both the front and rear of the house. The system was installed without cutting any underground cables or utilities (everything here is undergroung here). Pat left the lawn in excellent condition and avoided using his equipment on rainy days to keep from damaging the lawn. The job took 3 days. Pat and his crew worked around the roofers who were replacing the roof on the first day. This work was done in Aug. In October, Pat contacted me and returned to winterize the system.
