Donovan's had the quickest response time when I called - other companies were scheduled out at least a week. Mr. Donovan stopped by during his many runs on a Saturday, checked out my system and had it up and running in no time. Very courteous, pleasant and reasonably priced. Will use them from now on and recommend them to others.

I found them on Angie's list. I have been using them for about five years. They are good and come on time. The price is reasonable.

Within two hours Pat and his crew had all my sprinkler heads that were buried, raised and operating properly. He repaired the two line breaks and made everything look like he had never been there. He is so thorough and puts forth the extra effort to make sure everything is "perfect" before he leaves. His prices are reasonable and I always feel like I got more value for the $ spent.

After 3 other quotes to install an irrigation system, we were hesitant because of the price, and some of the "extras" that the other companies were including in the quote. We recently signed up for Angie's List so decided to see if there was another company that we should check out. Donovan Lawn Sprinklers was the first company that came up in our area, along with a $100 off special. We were impressed with all of the reviews so my husband sent an email from the company's website. Pat Donovon called the next day and we scheduled a time for the day after. My husband found him to be very professional when dealing with him during his visit for the quote. Our yard is fairly small, but we have a lot of landscaping beds. He designed a plan that was simple, yet covered everything perfectly! He didn't try to sell us any unnecessary extras like a "high tech" weather station or charge $700 extra for our perennial flower garden (as was in another company's quote). He gave us the quote that day, before he left. We felt good about going with him to do the job - no hesitations. He sent the appropriate companies out to first mark our utility lines,and then was here first thing the next morning, as promised, arriving about 10 minutes early. He paid close attention to detail, and he and his help made sure they cleaned up any messes that were made as a result of the installation. He, along with the two young men who worked with him, were professional and polite at all times. We were very pleased with the result and his price can't be beat! We are very happy with our decision to have Pat Donovon install our irrigation system!

Pat replied to my email requesting a quote immediately. Was very accommodating to my schedule. When he arrived, we discovered that he would not be able to install the system soon enough (we were having sod put down the next week). Before leaving, he asked to see the quote given to us by our builder's turf company and told me the quote was very good. I found that very remarkable and impressive. In the future if we need further lawn work done, I will definitely contact Pat again

One year we had a sprinkler head that wasn't working as designed. It was located between the sidewalk and the street curb, very close to a large tree. Pat suspected tree roots had taken a toll on the sprinkler line, so he proceeded to dig a trench near the head. He found the broken line and repaired it, with minimal yard envasion. His arm was literally up to his shoulder in the dirt but he always had a smile on his face! Pat takes pride in his work and it is obvious he is very skilled at it and enjoys what he does.

He has a great personality and is very responsive.

I was very happy with the service that they provided. I thought they did a good job and were very professional. I would use them again the future and have no complaints. There was one sprinkler head that was broken but I don't blame them for that but i wish they would have fixed it. No real big deal though.

Very courteous, prompt, and professional. After finishing, Mr. Donovan even came back the next day and added an additional head on my request. The only draw back was that my landscaping was rather beat up and I now have to re-level and re-edge a portion of my landscaping beds, about a full day's worth of work to restore them to their previous condition.

Pat was very thorough and professional throughout the entire process beginning with the quote. I know very little about lawns (my husband and I just moved from a condo, so this is entirely new), and Pat made me feel very comfortable. I met with two other irrigation companies, and he was equal in price to one of the other quotes (the third was much higher). Even if Pat was more expensive, I probably would've still gone with him. Trust is important! We booked a date for install a week later and they arrived on time. The team was very efficient and hard working. Pat even put in more heads than he had originally quoted and didn't change the price. He wanted to give as much coverage as possible. He took the time to walk through everything with me to ensure that I was comfortable with how it worked, etc. He also indicated that he will come by in a few weeks once everything has settled to make adjustments as needed. He goes above and beyond expectations and obviously stands by his work 100%. I feel like I could call him to move a head or tweak something and he'd take care of it promptly. I look forward to working with him in the future.

They checked out an old lawn sprinkler system and turned it on for the summer. They were very quick, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Pat arrived on time and gave us the estimate that we requested. Donovan Lawn Sprinklers was one of three estimates that we received. They were actually the lowest priced estimate. We decided to go with another company to install the sprinkler system because we were more comfortable with the brand of the materials the other company used. Pat was polite and professional. I would not hesitate to use this company in the future.

I found them on the list. He is very responsive, even though he has an answering machine on his phone Pat always gets back to me in a very reasonable amount of time. Everything about this company is great. They work done by him has been great and in fact I have recommended him to three of my neighbors and they are all using him as well.

I left a message for Pat Donovan on a Sunday evening requesting that he check out my irrigation system because I wanted any repairs to be completed before I re-sodded the area around my new driveway. Pat called and e-mailed me early on Monday and we set up an appointment for Wednesday of the same week. He arrived promptly, inspected the system, replaced broken parts, and performed the spring system start up. He explained what needed to be fixed and what I might expect in the future. His work is excellent and his prices are fair. I have used his company before for system start ups and autumn shut downs. This was the first time that I have used his company for repairs. Everything went smoothly. He is very trustworthy and punctual.

Donovan, who is the owner, came out for the work. I had some questions about my system and he spent quite a bit of time to answer my questions. I had issues with some of the sprinkler heads not watering in the direction that I wanted and he showed me how to adjust those. He then winterized the system by blowing air through all the lines to clear them out. There was an area that I felt had a leak and he checked it and did some work there. He asked about moving some sprinkler heads and he gave me a quote on that. We agreed that he could come out this spring and do the work.

Turned on sprinkler system today and evaluated existing unit. Found and made multiple repairs first (which system performed better). If I feel I want another evaluation after using the sprinklers a few times, he will come back out and we will further discuss options. He is our new Sprinkler Man and I would highly recommend him.

We were very well satisfied with all aspects of the project. From the original estimate through the completeion of the installation, Mr. Donovan provided clear and timely explanations of the options and the process. The work was performed in an efficient and timely manner and the net result was a system that performs exactly as intended.

The service was superior and he was very, very professional. He made everything very easy to understand during and after the installation. He explained how to operate the sprinkler system. The company was very, very courteous and very, very professional. He was top notch.

They were always on time. Pat had great follow up and stayed in constant contact with us. He answered all questions and demonstrated exceptional knowledge of irrigation systems far beyond others we spoke with. He tested the various stations, showed us how to operate the system. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and his service.

I had burst the outdoor pipes 18 months earlier by letting the system freeze. I had gotten some estimates from more commercial companies that were several hundred to fix the system enough to test it. I decided to abandon it until I came across Donovan Lawn Sprinkler through Angie's List. I called Patrick to get the system fixed and tested but he initially said it was too early in the season and that I might have another freeze. He then scheduled a day a few weeks later to come back and test the system. Our appointment was at 5:30 pm and I was 1/2 hour late but he didn't mind. Earlier that day he had come by to fix the pipe so that he could do the rest of the system checkout more quickly at our appointment. When he turned the system on he found that backflow preventer was broken. He replaced the internal valve body for me. He then examined the test ports for the backflow preventer. He thoroughly checked them and found a leak that I wouldn't have noticed until my water bill came. He fixed that too. Finally, he checked all the sprinkler head for operation. The whole bill for this was only $100 and $40 of that was for the parts. I'd recommend Patrick to anyone. Also, he gave me $10 off for Angie's List.

Pat Donovan is the owner/operator- this is not some large company where you never know who's going to show up. Pat is great to work with and really cares about his customers and the service he provides. After we had our patio installed, Pat came back out to bury all the lines that had been dug up and discovered that a main line - under the new patio- had been broken during the patio installation. He worked with our patio contractor and they both came back, dug up a portion of the patio and repaired the line under the patio- all at no cost to us. This is a family company that you can depend on. We will continue to use Pat for as long as he is in business!
