Exceeded my expectations. Pat was very informative, thorough and delivered everything in a timely manner. He communicated progress throughout the job. Provided a detailed and accurate quote. My lawn care service even contacted me to find out who installed the system because they did such a great job. They meticulously handled the install because you can't even tell where they had to dig for the install. Very pleased with the entire process and final product.

When I called for an estimate the company was incredibly responsive. Pat Donovan came out, reviewed the property with me, and asked about future plans for the space. Pat provided an estimate along with product information on all of the parts to be installed. We were able to schedule the installation within 2 weeks (had a rain delay). Pat and his crew showed up on time; actually Pat was early and waited patiently in his truck for his crew and they all started promptly at 8. The installation took 2 days and the crew was very careful with my lawn, even advising me to cancel my lawn mowing service for that week to prevent damage to the loose turf. Pat went over the planned placement of the sprinkler heads with me before they started digging to insure that all areas of the lawn and beds were covered to my satisfaction. After everything was installed, we walked the entire system, and the crew showed me how and where each head would spray. Pat then explained the timer/control system to me and offered advice on the use of the equipment. The crew was very professional; Pat was on the site, all day, both days. They even caught a problem with my sump pump! This was a great crew and one of the best companies I have worked with in the Columbus area. I would definitely recommend them to my neighbors, friends, and family.

After contacting Donovan Lawn Sprinklers, Pat Donovan contacted us promptly to provide a free estimate and explain the system that he recommended and why. Throughout the entire project, Pat was always 100% professional, as was his crew; was always punctual; removed shoes when entering the house; and was very careful to not damage the lawn any more than was required. Ultimately, we were very pleased that there was so little damage and lawn should only take a couple weeks to recover. Mr. Donovan was able to begin the project about a week after providing the quote. He began the project on time and began installing the required interior plumbing immediately. Unfortunately, due to excessive rain, the project had to be postponed a few days until the area dried out, but Pat and his crew did complete the plumbing portion. Pat always kept us informed of the weather conditions and when he would re-start and complete the project. He always did what he said he was going to do, and always showed up at exactly the time he said he would. Once the weather cleared, he and his crew worked right through the project in about a day and a half. They worked diligently and professionally the entire time. All of the piping, sprinkler heads, and back flow equipment was completed without incident. Pat walked us through the entire operation, explained how to use the box that was installed in the garage, and patiently answered all questions. We had obtained a couple other bids from other contractors that were rated highly, but overall, Pat Donovan seemed the easiest to work with long-term on any issues that might come up, completely trust-worthy, and extremely knowledgeable about irrigation systems. We never felt he was trying to "over-sell" us and we couldn't be happier with our decision to use Donovan Lawn Sprinklers. For us, the project went better than expected and we feel confident that we found a contractor we can rely on for timely, professional services for many years to come.

I have been very happy with them. He is very punctual when he says he will be here and gets the work done without inconveniencing anybody. I would definitely recommend them.

Called three places. They were, by far, the quickest to respond. Came out and performed service just as fast. Service was $55, but gave me a $10 discount for being a new customer. We are new to this house, so he showed me how to operate the system as well. Great guy. Will definitely use him every year for spring tune-up and winterization of our sprinkler system.

The job went very smooth from start to finish. Pat and his crew arrived on Monday to start the job. Pat walked around and marked off all the 7 zones with flags. It had rained the night before and began to ran when they started to lay the pipe in the front yard. Pat decided to stop pulling pipe due to the wet sod, he didn't want to damage my yard with the ditch witch. Pat and his son continued to work on the plumbing and inside work that needed to be done. Pat also installed the box in the garage that controls the sprinkler system. The second day was a much better day to work, it was sunny and the lawn and sod had dried up in time for the crew to continue to lay all the pipe in the different zones. After all the pipe was in the crew installed all the sprinkler heads in the various zones on the property. The crew also put in all the boxes in the yard that the valves go in. After all the valves were completed, Pat finished up installing the back flow preventer that is required for all types of lawn irrigation systems. Once the system was ready to go, Pat went over the box in the garage and how each zone works and how to operate the lawn irrigation system. My wife and I were very happy with the service that Donovan Lawn Sprinklers provided for us. I would recommend them to any of my family, friends or neighbors.

Our primarily clay lawn has struggled since our house was built in 2004 so this year we decided to go ahead and install a sprinkler system. Based on friends' recommendations, we obtained quotes from 3 companies ranging from $2400-$4200, but we weren't satisfied that we had found the best company to go with. Then we consulted Angie's List and found that the cheapest company had a very poor record. We obtained 3 more quotes from highly rated companies on Angie's List, including Donovan. Pat Donovan gave us a very good impression when we met him and provided the quote. He gave detailed explanations of what he would install and why. He was also highly recommended by a neighbor down the street that recently had a system installed. We scheduled the installation date a couple of weeks in advance and he and his crew arrived promptly at 8:00am on the scheduled day. We reviewed the plan again and found that due to some flower beds we added, he could alter the sprinkler layout on one side of the house and cut out a zone from the original quote. Pat and his crew were very courteous and professional. He does not contract out any of his labor, which we felt was a plus as we have read about others having problems with sprinkler systems installed by subcontractors. The job was completed in a day and a half as promised, and he came back the next morning (Saturday) to thoroughly explain the operation of the system and controller. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend Donovan Lawn Sprinklers.

Pat communicated with me via email, which is my favorite method. He was very accommodating of my schedule. He arrived as scheduled and completed the service while explaining every aspect of it. He made suggestions about using the system. I hired him to install a rain meter at a later date. Pat is very professional and thorough, not rushing through the work. I will be using his annual service agreement, going forward.
