Called Jim to schedule an appointment and got a call right back--and he was out the next day. Assessed my refrigerator, fixed the problem and gave me good advice. He was a true professional--and he even likes dogs. I'd definitely call him again. It's nice to work with such a knowledgeable professional who cares about customer service.

Spoke with Jim on Monday afternoon and he was able to come out Tuesday morning. He was prompt and gave me a courtesy call before coming out. My side by side refrigerator/freezer wasn't cooling properly and the doors weren't closing tightly. Unfortunately, because Frigidaire designed my unit without replaceable door hinges there was nothing he could do for the doors. He thoroughly explained some other things that could be causing my cooling problems, and although he doesn't do those types of repairs, he recommended a company who could help me. Jim was very professional and made sure I understood everything and that I didn't have any questions before leaving. I would definitely call him again.

I was very happy with the service. I had arranged the service for my in-laws. I called on a Friday and Jim answered. He was polite and friendly. He said that he was able to come out the next day on a Saturday and check the double oven. His service fee was 35% cheaper than everyone else that I called. He came out promptly when he said he would within a 30 minute window. He figured out what the problem was and ordered the part that was needed. He returned early on Monday and installed the item. He explained what and why he did it to my in-laws and fixed the problem. I was really happy with his response time. When I called the other service providers, they weren't able to come out to midweek to even check on the problem. Jim was able to have it completely repaired on Monday of that week. I will definitely use him again if we have any problems and highly recommend him to others.

Jim was great from start to finish. I was thrilled that he was able to make the service call the same day, and that he could then actually make the repair the very same day as well. I dealt with Jim the whole time, so there was no answering service that just wanted to schedule me for later. I realized how super convenient it was to get repairs made the same day and how most service providers don't or can't offer that. We thought we were going to have to replace our refrigerator, but really didn't want to have that expense. This was a refrigerator bought collectively for my office. We moved our office location in October, 2013, and once we plugged our fridge back in, it suddenly didn't cool anymore. We were stuck in a tough spot: because we had to spend by committee agreement, we didn't know if it was more worthwhile to have it serviced or replaced. Thankfully, Jim settled that question for us in the first five minutes he was here. It was just a fan that needed replacing- not the whole thing. He really saved us a lot of money and worry. We were so glad to have a professional who was capable and trustworthy take care of our problem. He was very flexible and polite. I highly recommend Jim for any appliance repair you need.

Jim is very courteous and worked hard to confirm the appointment. He arrived on time and when he found he needed a part he went out got it and returned the same day to complete the repair. He showed us why the problem was occurring before fixing it. Front loading clothes washer is working fine now.

I called on a Saturday, and Jim answered promptly. He gave me a time frame where he could come out, and said he would call a half hour before he would arrive. He did call, and was able to come earlier than expected. He was very courteous, and professional. He explained everything very clearly. I looked up Appliance repair on Angies List. I found a "Big Deal" offered for Appliance Pro. The deal was buy $100.00 worth of service for $50.00. Jim (owner) contacted me the next day and was able to meet me at my home within 20 minutes. (I had to travel to get there, so he probably could have been there quicker). Jim is very personable and knowledgable. He explained the situation, why it was happening and had a fix available during the same visit. He offered a longer warranty than what is standard in the industry for no additional cost. I would have NO problem in either using his services again or referring him to others.

I called the number listed on the company's ad. Jim answered the phone promptly, gathered specifics on our problem and responded to our home several hours later (same day service!) Jim quickly diagnosed the problem and implemented a fix. The fridge is now working great! They were great. They came the same day I called. He was finished within less than an hour. He was professional and personable.

He was very professional, actually squeezed me in on the day I called, and came over on time. Unfortunately, the washer wouldn't do what it had been doing, he felt bad that I had spent money and he couldn't fix anything though he could clearly see something had been going on. He stated that he would come back for a free service visit once it started again.

I was so pleased Jim answered my call on a Sunday morning. He fit me in the next day at the end of his day. He rapidly diagnosed the problem and had the parts on his vehicle to fix it. He replaced a computer panel for the froster. He was hard working, pleasant and prompt. I asked him to call me on his way to make sure I was home and he did call before arriving. My refrigerator was iced up, the freezer part was ok but the frig part was way too warm (65 degrees). I called Appliance Pro at before noon on Saturday. I talked directly to Jim, explained the problem to him and the model of my refrigerator. He came to my house in less than 3 hours. He diagnosed the problem, replaced 2 malfunctioning parts and in about an hour later my refrigerator was running like new. Very professional and reasonably priced.

Jim was very responsive and I was able to get an appointment to have him come service the microwave the day after I called. He called 20 minutes before coming which he said he would do. When he arrived, he used appliance covers to protect the surrounding area while he worked in the kitchen. He was able to diagnose and suggest a simple fix, without even needing to replace the fan or motor assembly. He was very thorough and efficient in his work. I would recommend Appliance Pro and will plan to call Jim again the next time I need service.

and needed to be replaced. Jim replaced the fuse and the job was completed within 45 minutes. Jim also checked the dryer vent to make sure that no obstruction was present which could have caused the fuse to blow. Jim cleaned up after himself and my dryer is as good as new! I was very impressed at how quickly Jim responded to my call and how knowledgeable he was about large appliance repair.

Jim was punctual, and quite professional. He explained clearly upfront what needed done, and how much it would cost. He even went and got a shelf for us, and came back with it today.

Job well- done! I had a leaking washer and I searched on Angie's List for a repairman. The first place I called had a $79.95 service call fee. I felt this was excessive and called Jim who is the owner and technician of Appliance Pro. His fee was $49.95 and there is an Angie's List discount! I called him yesterday at 4pm and he was able to come today at 3 pm. I needed an appointment after 3:00 pm and he was able to make that work as well. Jim called before he arrived and was prompt. He found the problem with my washer immediately. He didn't have the part on hand but he went to pick it up and installed it. After putting the washer back together, he asked if I would like him to clean up the water that had leaked. Very professional. All of this took less than 2 hours. His price was extremely reasonable and fair. He also let me know that he guarantees his work and the parts for a year which in an incredible warranty. There is a funny piece to this story. When Jim worked for another local repair company, he was out to fix my refrigerator ! I thought he looked familiar when he walked in the door and once we got to talking , I realized he had been here before. Small world. He made the decision to go out on his own and I am happy to recommend him. Jim is very experienced, reliable, capable , and reasonable. I won't hesitate to call him again in the future.

It went really well. I called around 12pm. Jim said he would be out between 2 and 4. He arrived around 3. Gave me an estimate. Completed the work on the dryer. He had to run and get the part for the washer. Work was completed a little after 5. It was terrific that he was able to come out the same day. I would definitely recommend this company and will use him the next time I need service!

Jim was able to come out the same day I called him. He immediately knew what the problem was and was able to fix it quickly. he stayed around in order to make sure that the problem was resolved and followed up with me the next day. very professional.

Jim Thompson is the owner of his business Appliance Pro LLC. I called because my Frigidaire front load washer stopped working. I had gone with another company before but the earliest they could come out was Saturday and I needed to go out of town on Friday. I called him Thursday at 4:30 pm, and he was able to come out to the house at 10:00 am Friday morning. He was very professional; he called 20 minutes before his arrival to let me know he was on his way. He found the problem quickly and at first he thought was going to have to charge me for a new part but then found out the part was fine; my washer was clogged with paper (thanks to my husband!). Jim cleaned everything out and charged me less than what he originally quoted. I am very satisfied with his quick response, professionalism, and the work he did. I would definitely recommend him in the future. Hopefully my husband will not wash a book in the wash again! :)

Most of Angie's List (AL) users get on this website to find a professional who is trustworthy, professional, and meeting their budget. Jim Thompson of Appliance Pro met all my expectations and beyond. He received my call on Thursday when he was still out of town due to family emergency. I already suspected this having read the review by another AL user before I gave him a call, but I decided to give him a ring anyway because the previous AL user had such a positive experience with Jim. Once again I was not disappointed. Although Jim could not be at my house that evening, he was knocking at my door the very next day trying to help with my fridge situation. Jim was very patient and professional. He took his time to diagnose the issue with the fridge and carefully explained to me why he thought the defrost time was the problem. Having done some reading before he came, I was able to follow his explanations and was quite impressed with his knowledge. I could not have found a better person to work on my fridge. I will definitely call Jim again if I ever need another appliance repair. Solid guy. Excellent customer care.

Owner is out of town on a family emergency but still answered his phone and spent 20 minutes explaining some temporary fixes for me and provided an estimate as well. Very friendly, professional and knowledgable. I will call him again in the future!
