Description of Work: Thought our dryer was a goner. They found and fixed all the problems and made my husband (who does the laundry) a happy father's day. :)

Description of Work: Professional and punctual. Unfortunately, had to come back next day in order to let frozen part in fridge defrost naturally overnight. I had just not prepared for that outcome. Came back next day, however, and did great job. Would use again and recommend.

Description of Work: My front load washer wasn't working. They came out quickly. Even through he didn't have the part that was needed in the truck, he went and picked it up that afternoon and was back with everything completed within just a few hours.

Description of Work: I called and left messages on three separate days for this company to call me in regards to scheduling an appt. for the repair of a washing machine, I never received a phone call in return. I realize that emergencies come up and it was the week after Thanksgiving but at least the answering machine should reflect this. I was really hopeful to use this company since it is close to my home. Disappointed!

Description of Work: My washer went on the fritz. So I checked with Angie's List and found James Thompson who was close to where I live and who got high marks. When I called Jim for an appointment, I told him that I was on a bowling league and wouldn't be available until 1:30 PM. Jim graciously accommodated me and set the appointment at 1:30. Moreover, we agreed to be in contact on our cell phones in case bowling ran over time. Jim arrived on time, made the diagnosis of my washer and offered me three ways to address the issue. We settled on a plan that required Jim to fashion a new switch and electrical harness. The cost was $169, which was a happy surprise for me. I anticipated much more and I was even prepared to purchase a new washer. Once the job was priced, Jim set about his task and was finished in less than a 1/2 hour. When the job was completed, Jim explained to me what he did. He also showed me that there was a protective plastic film on the washer that could be removed. When he removed it, I was aghast. The washer looked brand new. Now I know why Jim got such high marks. He was the consummate professional. I would recommend hem in a heart beat.

Description of Work: Extremely accommodating regarding appt day/time. He very clearly illustrated (via a handheld tablet) the parts that were malfunctioning and the cost for each part. Ultimately the unit is not worth repairing and I appreciate the honest appraisal. I highly recommend this company and will use them if needed in the future.

Description of Work: The owner, Jim, answered the phone, no messages or phone tag necessary. My normal repairman had already told me he would not work on my LG washer. He explained his service fee during the intial call. He called and came a day earlier than arranged. After extensive trouble shooting, he determined the problem was with the electrical outlet not the machine. I value his honesty. He also provided advise and looked up a price for a microwave part for me during the same visit. I highly recommend his service based on his professionalism and honesty.

Description of Work: we called Jim based on prior Angie's List reports and his proximity to our residence. He answered his phone, showed up for the estimate on time, and was courteous at all times. He returned to do the job before the time he said was possible and charged fairly for his work. He even did a little other job without additional charge. We'd hire him again when needed.

Description of Work: I called this service because of the a rating given it by Angies List and the proximity to my home. I spoke to Jim who advised that he was in the middle of a meeting but was kind enough to hear the problem I was having with my refrigerator. Jim promised to call back as soon as he could and took my phone number. Jim called back within the hour and after getting the make model and serial # he advised he knew what the problem was. Jim came out the same day with a part he picked up and promptly fixed the problem! Jim had even called to let me know he was stuck in traffic Jim was professional and extremely knowledgable and the price was fair! I would definately use this service again!
