Description of Work: He remodeled 2 bathrooms and resided our house. The siding looks okay and the price was reasonable. But the bathroom tile work was not good at all. I think we were new to the whole "renovation" process, so we kinda learned as we went so to speak. The second bathroom, which was completely gutted was where our main issue arose. He did not tile over the "lip" of the new tub appropriately, which means that if we wanted it done correctly, then we would have to tear down an entire wall of tile. Also, we wanted to "cut outs" to be done for a make shift shelf and he told us that he would only use big white tiles and he refused to use the small mosaic tiles because they were too hard to work with. My husband did that part of the remodel and his work was far superior to any work that TnT did for us. Both my husband and I spent about 20 hours each "fixing" what the contractor had done, this included scraping off group, removing and retiling a good size portion right above the sink, touching up paint, etc. He also cracked the wall in the room next to the bathroom and this hasn't been fixed. We just don't want him in our home anymore. Now that we have seen what a good contractor will do, we know what to expect and how to get it.

We started using John at first to roof our garage, just to see how he worked out and attention to details. He did a fine job. Next I had him do our upstairs bathroom, gave him a key to our house so he could do to the bath while we went on a cruise. With the latest job he did the downstairs bath. The only problem was I had my brother do the electric and John had to redo it as my brother put the electrical outlet too high. I don't have any problems with John. He does good work, I just wish I had more money to bring him back in to do my basement. He installed tiles in the kitchen which goes into a small nook that we use for our computer room and then into the bathroom. He had to gut the bathroom then add new plumbing and move some old plumbing to accomodate the new locations for commode and sink. Since this was a porch at one time, one of the walls behind the plaster board still had the old house siding on it. He had to pull that our which turned out to be quite a job, but he was able to manage it. He used our basement to cut the tiles (with our permission), since it was December and cold as heck outside. My house was built in 1923 so we have cracked walls and floors that are not level. It has been 2 1/2 years and there are no problems with the work he did. We did the upstairs bathroom probably 2 years prior to that and there are no problems with it. He also installed a shut off value for the upstair bathtub, which was never there and that was quite a job as the plumbing upstairs for the bath is behind a wall, he cut it down enough to get to the plumbing to install the value and did a nice job on the walls, floors and trim.
Description of Work: John had to change our 2 piece downstairs bath, into a 3 piece bathroom. Our back porch was made into a bathroom by previous owners. We needed a downstairs shower. We took out the commode and sink and turned everything around so we could fit a small shower in with the commode and sink. He had to redo plumbing, electric wiring (due to new location of sink). We had him tile our kitchen floor and bathroom floor with the same tile. If I had to say one complaint it would be that John (Bob, as his wife calls him), is a good father and sometimes he works his schedule around his children. He is a very involved with them, so it might take an extra day or two. He might not plan to come in until later in the morning or have to leave in early afternoon. This did NOT bother us, but it might be a problem for someone else. The price is for the work only, not anything else, and I'm not really sure if it is correct, but it is close. I provided tiles, commode and shower. We reused the sink and cabinet from before.

John has done a couple of bathrooms for me. The one I am talking about today was a half bath that we turned into a full bath (shower only, no tub). He puts down a concrete backer board, then tiles the floor. He had to move my toilet and sink around in the very small bathroom in order to put in a shower and tile that floor. All th plumbing and some electrical had to be moved.
Description of Work: Ceramic tiled kitchen floor, made my half bath a full bath (shower no tub). John is good at what he does. He does tell you up front that he might not be able to work 8 hour days, which was okay with me. He always leaves my house better than he found it.
