 + -1 moreContacted this company for a single breaker replacement in the panel. Service man came, pulled out the breaker but didn't have the replacement in the truck. Total servicel time in our garage was 30 minutes. This company charged us $385.00. They charge $85 just to call them, twice as much for a breaker we could have got at Lowe's had we known which one to get, and charged us for the service man to drive around finding it. Their charges for the service provided are outrageous.

 + -1 moreThe folks at AT Emmett were great and very professional. Rich came to the house and did a full analysis of the electrical system, and then reviewed various options to help guide us in a system choice that fit our needs. The installation crew was prompt and efficient. All work was done to exceptional quality and completed within 6 hours. As luck would have it, we had a thunderstorm 3 hours after the installation was completed. A lightning strike hit a pole on our street and power was lost. The generator kicked in within 10 seconds and did its job. It was wonderful; air conditioning and lights all working as if nothing had happened! The only glitch was with a management module for the oven not working. I called AT Emmett and they were back at the house in 15 minutes and had the problem resolved. Talk about responsiveness!

 + -1 moreOverall, both workers were professional, courteous and cleaned up the debris. I would highly recommend for any major work as I feel that anything of a minor nature would be handled by a single electrician, i.e., hanging a fan, fixing a plug. However, I could be in error and you would have to query. The only hassle I had, was of my own doing. I am a collector and every outlet in the the house is blocked by furniture, therefore, it took sometime for me to make sure all outlets were open for checking, but lthat was a minor problem when the outcome was so good and now I have peace of mind..
Description of Work: I actually had them twice. The first time was to fix what I thought was a minor problem. The furanace man in servicing the furnace noted I had open recepticles hidden on a high beam. He refused to work as this was a hazzard and suggested A T Emmett. The represenative (John) came out as scheduled and we went thru the problem. He gave a fair estimate and I scheduled the work. Everything went fine, the work was good and the problem resolved. He had stated that I might consider an upgrade as the wiring was poor. When I did scheule the work which was almost a year later, the estimate had not varied by much. I had the house wiring checked, repaired and upgraded to 220 and it took approx 2 1/2 to 3 days as stated. In doing this iit was found that my dryer plug had actuall y caught fire and I was unaware. So this was certainly the time to upgrade. I feel that the electrical work was good and the old adage "you get what you pay for certainly applies". Tho it wasn't cheap, John and II went over a detailed list of what was to be done, and there were no hidden costs.
