Response from Utmost Renovations
I'm a little irritated and shocked, quite frankly. When I got the message about this Big Deal Ad purchase of $259 for 4 hours of masonry work, I called the member, [Removed Member Name], immediately. I informed her the Big Deal Ad was supposed to have been removed over a week prior by Angie's List per my request and that I could not honor it but would be willing to provide her with a very fair estimate, etc. After learning that she needed the work done immediately, I kindly and directly told her there was no way I could do her project in the time frame she needed it done as we are busy and have a few weeks' backlog on our residential division. I then told [Removed Member Name] to simply contact Angie's List and she would be refunded her money for the purchase of the Big Deal Ad (as of now, this has transpired). I apologized for any inconvenience and wished her the best. I contacted Angie's List immediately after this call and they did, finally, take down the Big Deal Ad that same day. Then when I saw this review, I called [Removed Member Name] and we spoke about the review. She said she was not happy with Angie's List but she understood my position regarding the review, etc. I asked her "If she wrote the review?" and she said: "No, that she did not and did not want to hurt me in any way", etc. We hung up the phone shortly thereafter in a cordial manner. However, the review stands and [Removed Member Name]is the only person that could have left it. Not cool. Angie's List is trying to re-confirm this review with her and if it does not get removed or changed to a better grade, etc., I will consider other action. We strive to be the best service provider for our Angie's List Members (2014 Super Service Award Winners) and I'm bothered by this but, hopefully, it gets corrected soon.
