just now worst company i’ve ever dealt with. Ken Ashworh came out quoted $125 to repair floor. he couldn’t repair floor to satisfaction. i was told by Ken the floors were in fact taken care of. i requested pics from him and (owner) Angie and both denied my request. Ken Ashworth after failing to do repair went back to home and repaired floor for $1616. this is after Ken stating in a voice mail even a full floor repair wouldn’t be over $600. shame a local company would treat someone so poorly on the phone and by overstating the cost of the job. avoid at all cost and find a trustworthy and competent contractor to do your floor that won’t over charge you for their repairs.

Carpeting and work were fine, but the process to get there was frustrating beyond belief. After a visit from the salesman to measure our home, we went to the office on Saturday to order the carpet. They could not order it because our salesman was not there. He had the quote and they do not store the quotes centrally. Nor do they put them in a computer. They did not know what days the salesman worked, but we were free to stop in every day. They did put a post-it note on his desk. He did call and we did order - carpeting had to come in before scheduling installation. He did not call us when the carpeting came - we had to call to arrange. Installers were supposed to call before arriving, but did not. Landing was measured wrong, so more carpeting had to be ordered. We got no call. Went to the office to find out what was going on - sorry, you need to talk to the salesman and he is not here and we can leave a post-it note, etc. Installers came a day we were not home, because salesman did not tell us. When they did come - they did not call. Just not worth the hassle.

We are very happy with both the flooring and carpeting we purchased from R.A. P. We chose Coretec Plus luxury vinyl plank for our entryway, kitchen, dining room, powder room and laundry room. This was actually installed by a contractor we used to remodel our kitchen. We love this new floor! In addition we purchased, and had R.A. P. install new carpet in our Great room, Living Room, Stairs and 2nd Floor Hallway. We chose Mohawk Smart Strand Silk Berber carpet and we are very pleased with this! After the install, there were a couple of minor areas that needed retacked down and R.A.P. came out and made the adjustments. We will be happy to purchase from R.A.P. again.

RAP contracted the install to a 3rd party company, who then paid 5 mexicans to install the flooring. Had the installation be done correctly, I would have any no problem with the foreign installers but when a concern arose and you can't ask a question because no one spoke english, this was the start of the problems to come. The fundamental problem is that they delivered the hardwood to be installed on saturday and then installed it 24hrs later. All the literature, says wood must be acclamated to the enviroment prior to installation. Needless to say, day one after the install, the floor looked great, 2 weeks later, I was triping over boards that the tongue/groove had broken due to the severe warping that had occured. Because I made RAP sign a contact that stated they would install the product per the manufacturer's instructions, they ended up replacing half the flooring. Keep in mind it took a letter from my lawyer to get any action out of them and when it was clear, they screwed up and under contact I could request a 100% refund, then they started to attempt to correct the issue. Of course there was several attemps to shoot screws from the basement to pull the flooring down that never worked. If anything the screws just held the boards up instead of pulling them down. Finally more than a year after the install date, the problem was resolved but still not satisfactory. To fix everything risked damaging amish build kitchen cabinents that I didn't want to risk, given the half fast work ethic of the repair team.

Two years ago I helped a friend of mine look for a wood/laminate floor for her kitchen. We looked, tirelessly, at eight different flooring companies (including the two big box stores). We settled on R.A.P. Floor Coverings, Inc. Selection was based on both the flooring product and price. Our salesman was Jeff Ewing, a veteran in the industry. He selected installers that were especially experienced in residential work. They did a fabulous job and we were very pleased. This year when I decided that my sorry looking kitchen floor needed a refreshing start, it was a no brainer to cut the chase and go directly to R.A.P. By nature, I am a shopper and this sole source selection is not a part of my norm. Jeff,however, presented me with a price that I recognized was fair. Again he made sure that I would be pleased with the two installers. The flooring for my kitchen, dining area, bathroom, hallway and two closets (including custom finished shoe molding) was completed in one day. It is beautiful. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to do yourself a favor and, at the very least, call Jeff Ewing for either a showroom or in-home visit to have a "look-see" and a price quote.

Everything went well. When they came they gave the estimate they were on time with everything. They were in and out on the job within 2 days as promised.

They gave me an accurate estimate and were very professional.

They were very good to work with and we were going to take advantage of the coupon from Angie’s List. Another company kept checking on the prices for ground molding and taking the carpet out. R.A.P. Floor Coverings prices was significantly less than that company. They came in and removed the carpet out and put the flooring in. Then they came back and finished a few things that they didn’t finish up the day before. Their work was very good. They were very easy to work with and they communicated very well. Their product was high quality product. Their pricing was excellent.

I spent $75 for that job. The job went very well. The carpets look like they are repaired and look like new. They were very professional, quick and cleaned up after themselves.

Everything went fine with the installation. Very professional, they cleaned up after themselves, no scraps left behind. They arrived on time, did the work and I had absolutely no problems with the installers.

It went well. I had a board that I questioned why they used it, they brought out additional pieces of the same wood and offered to take out the one piece and replace with another. When we used them again in July of 09, they were able to use some left over wood from the previous job that we had and match the original wood from the previous work. The salesman was especially helpful, and took extra care to take care of us.

Everything about them was fine and their professionalism seemed fine to me too. I would use their services again.

They did a good job, were on time, and polite.

Excellent from beginning to completion of job. The crew was skilled, worked hard and didn't waste any time. Total time for the job about 1-1/2 days.

This involved ripping out concrete and tile and building a new sub floor. The finished product was excellent.

TRYING TO GET THIS COMPANY TO RESPOND TO OUR REQUEST FOR REPAIR HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. WE'RE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WE HAD THE FIRST TIME, THE COMPANY AND THE INSTALLERS THEY USE HAVE VERY POOR COMMUNICATION. THE INSTALLER SHOWED UP AND BEGAN DOING WORK THAT WAS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THE COMPANY REP TOLD US WOULD BE DONE. FOLLOW-UP HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. WE GO WEEKS WITHOUT HEARING ANYTHING AND WHEN WE FINALLY CALL BACK, THE SALES ASSOCIATE BLAMES THE INSTALLERS AND WHEN THE INSTALLERS SHOW UP, THEY BLAME THE SALES PEOPLE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. OUR FLOOR IS STILL NOT FIXED ALMOST THREE MONTHS AFTER REPORTING THE INITIAL PROBLEM. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

INSTALLATION CREW WAS OUTSTANDING! THEY WORRIED MORE ABOUT THE DETAILS THAN I WAS. CREW WAS PROMPT, FINISHED ON TIME AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARD. STORE HAD A GREAT SELECTION OF HARD WOOD FLOORING. LET YOU TAKE SAMPLES HOME WITHOUT A HASSLE.

THIS COMPANY WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. AFTER AWARDING THE WORK BASED ON A PROMISED SCHEDULE - THEY DIDN'T MAKE IT. TIME AFTER TIME THEY MENTIONED WHY THEY COULDN'T DO SOMETHING OR THERE WOULD BE EXTRA CHARGES. TOOK SHORTCUTS AND THE JOB WASN'T PERFORMED CORRECTLY. I WAS PATIENT AND GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE RIGHT - THEY NEVER DID. I HAD A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY ON THE LIST BUT,THOUGHT I'D GIVE THESE GUYS A TRY. DON''T MAKE A MISTAKE - STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS UNLESS IF YOU WANT BAD WORK AND SERVICE.

WE DEALT WITH AMY KIEHBORTH AND SHE WAS GREAT! SHE OFFERED A LOT OF GREAT IDEAS AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. THE WORK WAS GREAT AND THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE.

ALTHOUGH WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AND FINAL PRODUCT, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RAP. THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND ITS INSTALLERS WAS HORRIBLE. TWICE WHEN WE HAD SCHEDULED INSTALLATION, NO ONE SHOWED UP. WHEN THEY FINALLY DID SHOW UP IT WAS ON A DAY THEY WEREN''T SCHEDULED TO COME- LUCKILY WE WERE HOME. OVERALL, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

THE SALESPERSON WAS VERY HELPFUL IN INSTRUCTING US ON HOW TO INSTALL THE FLOORING. THE PRICE WAS VERY COMPARABLE AND IT WAS SIMPLE TO INSTALL.

THE SALESPERSON WAS A GREAT HELP AND DID A GREAT JOB TOWARD OUR SATISFACTION. THE INSTALLER WAS A LATE ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE JOB AND THEN ENDED UP BEING SHORT CARPET ON THE STAIRS. THE SALESMAN TOOK CARE OF THE SHORTAGE AND WITHIN A WEEK, THE JOB WAS FINISHED.
