The contractor came out immediately and provided an estimate. The next day they returned with a large crew, a skid loader and bucket truck and removed the tree including a large root ball. The work was completed in one hour and was performed perfectly.

Fine. The wood could have been seasoned a little longer.

I talked to Peggy Napier on the phone about scheduling an estimate to remove my ash tree, grind the stump, haul away the chips, fill the hole with dirt, and plant grass seed. Her husband Roy Napier came out just a few days later and arrived right on time. I got two other estimates. Roy’s was in the ballpark, but the price was just a little bit lower — even better because they were able to do everything on my list. One of the other companies doesn’t remove the chips or regrade the lawn and the other doesn’t plant grass seed. When I called back to schedule the work, they were able to fit me in just a week later. Two guys made quick work of taking down the tree, cleaning up as they went along. As they were wrapping up with chainsaws and the chipper, Craig Napier showed up with the stump grinder and another guy. Two of the guys stayed and made more quick work of grinding the stump and raking up and removing the chips. After all that, they brought in soil, put down grass seed, and topped it with straw. The yard was good as new when they left. Everyone I dealt with from Napier & Son was friendly and kind. They even accommodated my daughter’s special request to save a slice of the trunk to remember the tree by. (I plan to make an outdoor table with it.) It was sad watching our beloved tree come down, but the high quality service and reasonable price made up for it. I can’t recommend Napier & Son highly enough!

Delivered and dumped as requested but drivers aim was off and got it a bit into the neighbors yard rather than my side. Fortunately the ground was frozen and no harm was done.

They were supposed to bring over some pieces that were 95% large and instead of stacking they dumped them in the garage. I had to call another company to remove the big pieces, bring more and stack them for me.

We were extremely pleased with the outstanding job done by Napier and Sons. They had two huge trees to remove but they did so very efficiently. Our yard was actually cleaner when they were done than when they started! Great crew and I would definite recommend and hire again. I took bids from 4 reputable companies and Napier and Sons were from 10-30 cheaper than their competitors.

The wood is so green I think they cut it on the way to my house. It was delivered one month ago and still does not burn. I am extremely disappointed.

Very nice, clean firewood. All hardwood, only insects I saw were about a dozen ants, no punky wood, no round branch wood, very well split. At $337 for a cord and a half it's not cheap, but you're dealing with a reputable company and quality people.

My moisture meter is reading around 20-35 percent moisture (ideal for firewood is 20 or less). At $337 for a cord and a half it's not cheap, but you're dealing with a reputable company and quality people.

Delivered on time, with excellent communication, stacked perfectly, cleanup as if they were never there, all for a very competitive price. I've bought firewood from many people, but I won't anymore. This company is excellent and provides aged, dry hardwood that burns consistently better than any other provider I've used. Do yourself a favor and call them. You won't be disappointed.

Flawless, better than we expected!!!

Ordered a full cord firewood. When it arrived, I realized that it was much more wood than I had received in past from other suppliers who stated they were delivering a full cord. Wood excellent, as well as punctuality, etc. Will definitely reorder from this supplier in future!

They responded to my message immediately and actually delivered all the little early.

I am very impressed. I left a message and they called back the same day to arrange delivery. Delivery was on time and the crew was courteous, a great experience a fair price highly recommended!

I called on a Monday to order the wood for delivery on Friday of the same week. The wood was delivered as scheduled and unloaded per my instructions. The cord of wood cost a bit more than other providers but I like doing business with this company.

The reason I'm writing this review now is because i wanted to find their name to order wood again

Napier & Son Tree Service, LLC was an excellent company to work with and we will use their service again. The entire staff was professional, prompt, courteous and went above and beyond the norm. From my fiance's first phone call, to a return visit tidying up some trimming-we couldn't be happier. The crew started working the day after I had surgery and didn't even wake me up-preferring to not disturb me so that I could rest. A special thanks to the young man that called my fiance for me when I accidentally locked myself outside (first time homeowners with self locking doors-coincidentally the day after surgery). If he hadn't returned to complete the stump grinding I would have had to wait a few hours-Thanks!! One of our neighbors actually purchased a trimming service for their own yard while the crew was working on ours.

First, delivery was supposed to be on Monday, Feb 16th. They called off the delivery so they could do another job regarding snow. Rescheduled for Tuesday at 4:00. Showed up before 4, and before anyone was home; rescheduled for today. Delivered today. Ran into my security gate damaging it; and on top of that, the wood delivered is NOT SEASONED and WILL NOT BURN. Company misrepresented or at minimum make representations leading me to believe that they were delivering seasoned wood would in fact once you lift the wood, you can easily tell it is not close to dry nor seasoned, IN MY OPINION they knew or should have known just by loading the wood that it was NOT seasoned wood. In my opinion, they just wanted to make the sale . . . . period. Never again will I order wood from this "vendor".

They were awesome, this was really easy! They were great on the phone, and they delivered as promised.

Response to messages through Angieslist was prompt. Telephone call went to voicemail, but Peggy called back before I'd even finished leaving my message. Most of the wood seems to be acceptable except that it was not seasoned at all. I take significant responsibility myself as I didn't request seasoned wood, however I thought seasoned wood would be the default. I ordered more wood from another provider as this wood was too green to be very useful.

A tree near our drive was producing a type of small fruit that was making a mess on our cars and driveway. We wanted it taken down as soon as possible. Napier and Son Tree Service was quick to come out and give a free estimate. On the day of the appointment for the estimate they were delayed slightly (due to traffic). They called to apologize and let me know the approximate time they would arrive (still within an hour of the original time). They showed up at the revised time and apologized again for the delay. They inspected the tree and pointed out a place in the fork of the tree where it was rotted and cracked. We had failed to notice this cracked branch which, if it fell, would likely have damaged our garage. This made removal of the tree even more urgent. They gave me a written quote and broke it down so that we had the option to keep the wood or pay an additional cost to have it hauled away. We compared their quote with others. Their competitive quote and good communication about the services they would provide. made it an easy decision to go with this company. Our decision was also influenced by their politeness in calling when they were running late and the helpfulness of the office person who answers the phone for the company. I contacted the office a day or two later to schedule the service and was told they already had a crew in our area that was able to come before noon that same day. They arrived before noon as promised and made short work of cutting the tree down. The stump was ground out and back filled. We opted to keep the wood with the understanding that the smaller branches, twigs and leaves would be taken away. The workers went above and beyond our expectations. They cleaned up the mess as much as possible and even cleaned off the drive and sidewalk. They cut the remaining wood into lengths and stacked it neatly on our property. I would not hesitate to recommend Napier and Son Tree Service to others and we will certainly call them if we need tree services in the future.

Ordered 1 cord of firewood and they said it would be delivered in 5 days. The next day they called and asked if they could deliver it early. Very professional on the phone and at time of the delivery. They dropped wood in driveway where I asked. When I stacked it, it appeared to be truly a cord of wood. Very happy this far, wood appeared seasoned and dry. Will write back to advise on quality after this season.
