Mose Troyer Carpentry/Cabinetry

Everything went great. The last contractor we hired to do the work not only put in poor quality cabinets that destroyed the existing woodwork while doing it. Mose installed new high quality custom cabinets and shelves. In doing so he took into account the previous contractors errors and fixed the issues created by the last guy. He made everything look seamless and like it was all part of the original design. He saved the projected that had went bad. We are going to hire him back to do more work in out house.

Great working with Mose. He showed up very punctually for the estimate, final measurement and install. The work was very professionally done and most importantly my family loves the finished product. I was able to work with Mose to reduce the price given that I painted the finished seat myself. Very happy with the extremely competitive price.

Mose was great to work with and the quality of the work done and was fantastic. He is very detail oriented which is important for this type of project. The price we paid seemed very fair for the amount of time he spent here working on projects and for the quality of work that was done. The outcome was great. He custom built all of the paneling and cabinets etc and they are very high quality. We love everything that he did and we definitely plan to use him for future carpentry projects in our home.

Mose did an amazing job on the repair. He was able to come up with a strategy that minimized the amount of wood that needed to be replace and thus save us $. End product looks great. He was punctual and got everything done on the timeline he promised.

Mose and his assistant, Noah were very professional. They covered my new hardwood floors and were very considerate of my home during the project. They did exactly what they said they would do on the agreed timeline. I am over the moon happy with my new crown molding and so appreciative of their clean up after they finished. Amazing! Mose is an artist and a perfectionist. He measured frequently and asked questions we didn't even know we had. He really did outstanding work, helping us personalize and customize spaces in or hone to suit our needs.

The pricing came by at a number higher than we could afford and the scheduling availability was difficult.

Mr. Troyer is the consummate professional and truly nice person. His work is second to none - very high quality. He does not cut corners. He asks questions when not sure how the customer wants something to look. He explains options to the customer. He works fast but with high quality. He is very organized and spent no time running around for parts or supplies. He always had everything with him at the start of each day. Mr. Troyer showed up every day on time and, if there was a problem, he always called to advise. I feel that he can do many types of construction/renovation jobs, not just fine carpentry, which is his specialty. I have had many years of experience dealing with many different contractors. Mr. Troyer is the most honest, trustworthy, competent, and fair contractor I have met. I would not hesitate to hire him for many types of construction jobs. In addition, he is also very willing to do small jobsl. I have used Mr. Troyer's services in the past for work at our home and at investment properties. He is the primary person I call when a renovation project of any size is being considered. He is truly a pleasure to work with.

Mose is great at taking your concept and turning it into a fine finished product. We wanted the wall unit designed without a wood back so the color of the wall would show - hard to do without the backing for support but he did it. He asks questions and gets a good concept of what you want. He is very detailed and an incredible wood craftsman. I am not sure he had done custom window shutters before but they turned out great and were quite reasonable despite what turned out to require multiple trips to the house fort fitting and installation. If you want fine woodworking and design I would call on him.

We had a wonderful experience with Mose. From the time he came to the house for the initial estimate to the time he returned with the finished product (only a few weeks later) everything about the experience was top notch. The bookcases are absolutely gorgeous and they fit perfectly! It only took Mose a few hours to install them after they were made. We can't say enough about Mose. He is very professional, personable, punctual and his work is exceptional. Our bookcases are truly worth the price we paid for them and we intend on having Mose build us a second set along a wall in our dining room in the near future! We would highly recommend Mose to anyone looking to having any type of woodworking done!

Mose Troyer is an outstanding carpenter who had done some finish trim carpentry for us while we were remodeling in 2006. We were so pleased with the level of finish on our trim, we invited him back to take a look at rebuilding our screened in porch with a rooftop deck that needed to be totally torn down. He was prompt with his estimate, offered his expertise on some design details as the project moved forward and once again provided a level of finish that is outstanding. His estimate was a fair price for the amount of work required and the quality materials that we had asked for. We are thrilled with our new porch and deck. We would recommend Mose to anyone that needs finish interior or exterior carpentry work done.

Mose Troyer was recommended by a cabinetmaker we know. Mose tore out the incorrectly installed stairs and rebuilt the entire stairway from scratch. His carpentry skills are outstanding. He has worked as a finish carpenter on custom homes for many years. However, he was very happy to help us out with our little job. He did a fabulous job. He knows how to build stairs properly. All the pieces fit with surgical precision. Mose started within a few days of contacting him, worked all day, and stayed until the job was complete. All of the pieces were pre-painted or pre-stained and then installed. Due to Mose' skill, no caulking or touch-up was needed. Mose was not on Angie's List because he primarily works for general contractors on custom homes, as opposed to being hired by homeowners. However, he is very happy to do carpentry work for any customer. This was one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with a contractor. Mose is honest, trustworthy, straightforward, and conscientious. I cannot say enough good things about him. He did such an outstanding job in every aspect that I actually paid him more than the contract price - something I've never done in my life. I have been involved in several total renovations on residential property and have dealt with many contractors in all of the trades. By far, Mose was the most talented, likeable, and trustworthy contractor I've ever met. I highly recommend this man to anyone who needs any type of carpentry work. Although he considers himself to be a "finish carpenter", he can do any kind of carpentry.
