Mark had great ideas for maximizing the views and the livability of the space, and making it blend with the existing structure. He listened to our wants and needs and delivered a great result. All members of the team were very professional and they left us with a finished product, all debris removed. We are very happy with the result, and would definitely hire again.

Yes, I have had contact with Mark Troyer Remodeling, Inc. We had our kitchen redone. They did not return my call right away, by the time they had, we still went out to see one of the kitchens that they had in a set home they were building. Although I liked it, I just went with the other company. They were more prompt in getting back to us and everything. Since, I didn't have the work done from them, what I saw, I thought was very good. The quality of their work was excellent. They were very nice to talk to and very knowledgeable. We just didn't use them.

Great experience, from the planning all the way to the finish. They took the existing kitchen down to studs, opened a doorway, removed a bath, custom made cabinets and a beautiful island, added new wood floors, installed all new appliances. They were talented, efficient, pleasant, and clean. Loved all the subs and took pride in their work. Even after this much time everything is still perfect. Mark did a 1 year check-in and did 2 small adjustments and that was it. For the amount of work that was done, amazing!

I've never hired a remodeling company so I interviewed many companies before I hired Troyer. He, as the owner came to the house more than once before I signed the contract to go over the plans and answer questions. He directed us to reliable providers for the big items like the tile and the shower surround, but was open to allowing us to buy (at a place of our choosing) all the fixtures, etc. Other contractors insisted that they be the ones to make all the decisions, insisted we use only certain suppliers and even steered us to only the higher end suppliers. On the day the work was started his crew (of only 3) arrived on time, took great care with the carpet and walls surrounding the bathroom. ( We had already taken all artwork off the walls and put away all fragile knick knacks so as to prevent any accidental damage from the vibrations from all the pounding). The crew ALWAYS arrived right on time, worked hard and cleaned up very well before leaving for the day. I even noticed that when they came in from outside they took their shoes off before walking into the house. They even took off their shoes when needed while working on the inside. The crew was at the house for many hours each day. They too answered questions, patiently put up with us excitedly "peeking" on the progress and worked professionally, but with a pleasant sense of humor. No matter when I called Mr. Troyer (and I made a lot of calls) he always answered the phone, was patient with my lack of lack of knowledge and was nothing less than 100% professional, as was his crew. I was rather surprised that there were only 3 crew members since the work was done so quickly and so efficiently. From the moment the crew arrived until they left they were constantly working. I wish I had some additional money floating around so I could hire Mark Troyer Remodeling to do so more work right now. I would hire them again in an instant and highly recommend this company.

We used Mark and his crew to install two huge skylights a year or so ago and were very happy with those. So, when we wanted to brighten up our main living space even more, I went directly back to Mark. He took my general idea and made it absolutely stunning. The new wall of windows up high above our kitchen, dining room and dinette have transformed our home from run of the mill to a contemporary/modern stunner. The wife said it is like something you see in the architectural magazines and she is right. We are so comfortable with Mark and his guys that we handed them the keys, went away on vacation, and came back to a finished job. As expected, the quality of work and attention to detail is outstanding. There were no surprises or loose ends for us to tie up.

Mark and his crew installed two large skylights in our contemporary home. I was admittedly a little nervous about having two huge holes cut into the roof. Mark spent significant time onsite at key points which made me feel very comfortable that everything was going to turn out fine and it did. He obviously has a lot of experience and suggested a couple things that I would not have thought of. Also, he and his guys all exhibited a very high standard of quality and pride in their work, never seeming rushed or impatient. All in all, they did excellent work at a very fair price and I would--and probably will--use them again.

This project was done on time, on schedule, and surpassed my expectations... Mark Troyer listened carefully to my needs and preferences. He provided expert advice and allowed me to find my vision. He did not push ideas, but worked with me to find a truly stunning solution. His guys were dependable, courteous, and although we were under construction for an extended period, ensured we were always able to live in our house... Highest recommendations!

Things worked out good. They kept to the cost they said it would be, they were honest about that. They were diligent with their clean up every day. They kept the job technique and they have good quality work. They're friendly.

We had previously worked with Mark Troyer on our bathroom remodels and were very pleased with the process and the results. Mark shared some ideas that he had for the kitchen and we started seriously considering a complete remodel rather than trying to resurrect the old cabinets. We could not be more thrilled with the results! The kitchen now is more functional than I could have imagined and the quality of the cabinetry is superior to anything we'd ever seen. The process was very orderly, we knew what to expect each week and Mark was always available if we had questions or concerns. We made some minor modifications as we went along that slowed the process down a bit but Mark did everything possible to keep the project moving along. Every day the job site was cleaned up so that we could still semi function in it. We can't say enough about Mark's integrity and the quality of his work. We highly recommend him if you're considering any time of home remodeling.

The remodeling and updating of our two bathrooms (master bath and hall bath) went well. We are very pleased with our new cast iron tub, shower stall, marble walls, and new plumbing fixtures. On our own, we decided to replace the two toilets in our bathrooms so we selected & paid for them at the store, and Mark's crew picked them up and installed them for us. Mark's crew also removed our old vinyl flooring in both bathrooms and replaced them with new vinyl. The deck was built on top of our old concrete patio which looked awful as it was full of cracks. We selected one of the new products which have a lifetime guarantee and perfectly matched the color of our vinyl siding. The painting of the walls and ceilings in our two updated bathrooms was done in November by Greg Whitley, Mark Troyer's painting crew. They sanded the walls, primed them, and then applied two coats of the paint we chose to match the color of the upstairs rooms. They also stained one vanity of 4 drawers and 4 cupboards in the hall bath as well as the two windows in the bathrooms. They removed the muntions from the windows and stained them to match while also painting the outside color of the muntions gray to match the vinyl siding of the house.

He was very professional & helpful - a great guy. I just decided to sub-contract the remodel myself because I'm retired & had the time to do it. I would recommend him though - no question.

Overall everything went as requested and planned. The cabinets turned out better than we expected. Mark and his cabinet maker were able to make our cabinets the way we requested. Including a pantry unit built from a picture from the Internet. His sub contractors were very professional in keeping the work area clean and accomodating to work around our schedules. The quality of the workmanship and the details of the trim and wood work were excellent. They even came up with a clever way to keep an existing window which was not designed at the usual sink height.

We met with Mark to review the project details, considered his suggestions and modified our project to incorporate many of them. After reviewing the final bid with Mark he outlined what the expected timeline would be and we began selecting materials. Mark was terrific about letting us know what to expect and when it would happen. We remodeled the half and guest baths first, and that part of the project was completed in about 3 weeks. The work included new marble floors, granite countertops, fixtures, sinks, toilets and lighting. Once we were fully functional in those bathrooms he started the master bath. We gave him our ideas for the new vanity and his cabinet maker did a beautiful job of transforming it to a reality. The master bath took about 7 weeks to complete; the room was gutted to the walls so everything including the glass block window was new. The master bath went from being a dated, somewhat crowded room to a beautiful and very functional bathroom. Mark's team was always careful to clean up each day, and keep the dust down to a minimum. The very few deficiencies that we found along the way were immediately addressed, to our satisfaction. We were thrilled with the work, and it was a pleasure working with Mark and his team. We would definitely recommend him for any remodeling project.

Mark was on time and completed the job in a timely manner. He did a good job and did not run into any obstacles.

Mark has a great way of working with you when you have either the seed of an idea or if you've figured it all out and just need someone to make it reality. When he remodeled our kitchen, he took the seed of my ideas, the personality of our house, and his own ideas and built us a beautiful kitchen out of two empty rooms. For this bookshelf project, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted and he built it EXACTLY as I described it to him after presenting me with drawings and talking over how the shelves and cabinets should be built to stay in character with our 110 year old home. We could not be happier with the results of our gorgeous new bookshelves (that remind us of our time living in New England) and the built in/framed in look of our new TV and get lots of compliments when friends and family come over to see the results!

We did research some companies on that and we did consummate the deal with Mark Troyer Remodeling. I have worked with Mark two other times and he is excellent to work with. He has one quality that I like and that is he is very honest. It's a quality that is hard to find. Log homes are very difficult to work with. It requires a lot of strength because those logs are heavy. You don't build them like you do a stick home. It takes people with certain talents and experience to work on them and to build them. When the log home was built, the 2 X 10s were under the base of the 4 sets of doors on the back of the log home. It's a fairly large house. It is about 2400 square feet. It's not a log cabin. It's a log home. The 2 X 12s had rotted because they hadn't been treated before they were put on. My son built a very large deck on the back of the house. It extends out from all the doors plus out over a drop off in the land. It's very well built. The wood underneath the doors which was underneath the deck rotted the 2 X 12s and they had to be taken out. Part of the deck had to be cut away and they had to crawl down in a dirty old area and cut the 2 X 12s which is standard on the deck. They had to rebuild everything and put the 2 X 12s in doubling them to build a solid foundation there. It was a dirty job and the weather was hotter than hell. I kept them engaged all the time. I felt sorry for those guys. The job they did before turned out to be a phenomenal job. It was about a $30,000.00 job. We had some mold in the roof over the great room. We had to tear the roof off, put the breathing space in, and put Clorox to kill the mold. The guy carried the stone and the cement and his wife laid the stone on a two story large fireplace. He probably weighed 240 pounds. He wasn't fat, but he carried that stuff from the back of the place which is equivalent to a three story house out to the deck. He was so heavy with the stone that he pulled the braces on the deck right out. The weight was a lot but he went up and down the stairs so many times. Now we have got a beautiful fireplace. Their price was fair, but it wasn't what I wanted to pay. I don't think he gouged us at all. He is an acquaintance that has turned into a friend. He is not a close friend. If I need a question answered, he is the person I could call. He is a little expensive, but he is honest about his expenses. He goes over them all with you and explains to you why. He takes a great amount of time and then he tells you what percentage he is working on in relation to his profit. I had no problems with anything at all. The only thing is I had to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning to meet them in the log home every morning. We were meeting at 6 o'clock or 7 o'clock in the morning. They got started early.

The stone matches perfectly on the front of the house - you can't even tell there was an addition made. Mark's team was courteous and always cleaned up the area every night before leaving work. Mark was excellent in communicating progress/issues/scheduling changes when necessary. I have used Mark several time since on smaller jobs (e.g., replacing rotting wood on a front porch, and repairing cracks in ceilings, I would not hesitate in hiring Mark again.

I think he's honest, he is also very good and clever. They also put on a roof over a porch that builders a few years ago didn't put a roof over correctly. So he came out and correctly made the water flow off of the roof. He is highly recommended. He knows what he's doing.

I called them and left a voice message. They never called me back.

Mark did some of the work himself. He wanted the slope done right. I will use Mark for small to large jobs. You can trust Mark and know that you will get an excellent job. Mark will be on the job site to check up. Keep up the good work. Trustworthy.

Of course, as all the magazines said, it took longer than we thought and it cost more than we expected (but NOT more than what Mark quoted), but it was a great experience. Our only issues that held up the project were with the Italian Village commission, not the contractor. Mark's work is so detailed and of such great quality. He really brought the character of our house into the kitchen, trading ideas with me as a kitchen designer would. Our only issue was with the subcontractor who did the drywall. Their work was sloppy and Mark had to fix several spots where there were dings in the sheetrock, screws showing and corners that weren't installed properly. Otherwise, everyone who worked on the project from the crew at Mark Troyer Remodeling, to the electrician, plumber, and countertop installers, were very nice, prompt, courteous, and a pleasure to work with.

EACH TIME I CALLED THE RECEPTIONISTS INDICATED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE SOMEONE RETURN THE CALL TO SET UP AN ESTIMATE. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RETURN CALL TO DATE. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

EXCELLENT REFERENCES-EXTREMELY PRICEY. SENT A HUGE LIST OF REQUIREMENTS OF THEIR ON-THE-JOB REQUIREMENTS WHICH WE DID NOT BELIEVE NECESSARY.
