Description of Work: They removed a wood deck and installed a paver patio with columns and seating walls. Also completed a natural gas fire pit. Overall the job went great. Did have a couple of smalls issues and they were handled professionally and quickly. I will use them again at some point.

This was one of the last winter projects we did coming into the spring. This member was very thorough and detailed, also flexible to the change orders which we did have 3. Issues with his brick fireplace we discovered after removing the olde deck and issues with his plumber for the gas work also required changes. In the end the project turned out great and the member was happy with the finished product as are we. Look forward to his next project.

Not sure why this member wrote graded us this way. He bought a $49 deal for his condo, which he got a planned drawing and several 3-d models. The issue was his budget which we developed a two year plan. I never understand people who write a review, or lack of a review like this because hsi e-maill communications never once stated his dissatisfaction, actually it was the opposite. Early response to my initial email, punctual visits, professional design, quote and advice. Good company so far.
Description of Work: I purchased a "Deal" with this company from Angie's List. For $59 the owner of the company came out, determined what kind of landscaping we were wanting, measured, created a professional landscape design and provided price quotes broken down into the specific areas I wanted. He provided names of other companies who could do some of the things that he doesn't do. The whole experience was very professional and the price quote is good until spring. The prices are higher than I wanted, but for the extra level of service, it is worth it. We will have our front lawn landscaping done in the spring with this company for around $3,500.

He emailed me initially to find a time we could get together. On that day he arrived promptly and spent about an hour with me walking through my yard to find out its problems and to give me possible suggestions about what they could do. I was especially happy about the advice he gave me on improving drainage so my basement is less likely to be wet when it rains. he noted things that could be done now and things that would have to wait for spring.
Description of Work: He was very responsive to my initial purchase. I found him easy to talk to and very personable. He made good suggestions about improvements that could be made in the drainage and I curb appeal of my yard. I am still waiting for his actual plans about plantings, etc. of what he wants to do in my yard but since this was a special offer, he may be swamped with customers.

We were very pleased with them and we would highly recommend them. We got everything upfront in writing and they worked with us to change the plants so it was within our means. There were no surprises. They were very professional. One of their trucks did some damage and immediately within 15 minutes, they called the other company and repaired the damage. They were very professional and very accommodating.

Landscape Design Solutions LLC and their owners, Jacob and Jeff, put forth an outstanding, high quality effort that has literally transformed our home and thoroughly exceeded our expectations. The quality, value for the buck and speed to finished product...from concept...to full installation..was tremendous and they made the project (for us) a thrill to be part of, and watch unfold. Beginning in late March 2011, we settled on a design; we contracted with Jacob & LDS LLC in mid-April and by mid-May, the project was complete. Not only did Landscape Design LLC's bid for our project come in less than several other companies we evaluated, they added irrigation, an amazing water feature and a landscape lighting upgrade to the requested bid...at pricing that made it a no-brainer...totally making my decision an easy one. One contractor, one bill, four specialties...at a very fair price. Jacob is a great guy who is extremely professional, an oustanding communicator and he was great at keeping us informed on the project's status every step of the way...even making several follow-up trips after-the-fact to ensure satisfaction and make minor adjustments. Jeff is also extremely professional and a talented individual, especially relative to the hardscaping that was created upon a relatively blank canvas. If you're looking for a young, up and coming, professional landscape design/hardscape company with skills in BOTH hardscaping and plant/horticulture design & placement, these are quality guys who are educated, talented and hungry to build a strong reputation in the Central, Ohio market. They may not (yet) be the largest team (with scads of work crews etc.) in the city but, they will not sacrifice quality ...they listen and they are h*** bent on leaving behind a QUALITY work of living art that will stand the test of time. I will encourage any of my friends and colleagues to give LDS LLC a shot at their landscape/hardscaping needs!
Description of Work: Landscape Design Solutions designed a hardscape/softscape 'total makeover' for our large (walled) planter boxes - the centerpiece being a large walking garden with patio - in front of our home as well as a large area in the center of our circular driveway. The work entailed full collaborative design, demolition of the old landscaping (tearing out old), regrading, hardscaping (stone outcroppings, water feature/waterfall, flagstone walkway and patio), planting, irrigation and lighting.

Their crew was great and did a very good job. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Jacob designed our patio a few years ago so I knew he did good work. Our approach/walkway from the driveway to the porch had sunken and was old and tired looking. I called Jacob to come take a look and give us some options as to what to do. He immediately came up with a nice tumbled stone curved walkway that I had not even thought of. It gave our house a fresh 'Welcome' look that was lacking before. We also had them bring in fill dirt to fill in about 1/3 of the front lawn that had settled over the years.
