It went seamlessly. They were prompt and did a stellar job. The project took longer than anticipated and they cheerfully continued it on a Saturday to get it finished. These guys are honest hard workers whose craftsmanship is excellent.

Marcus Gingerich and team did a fantastic job!! We love our new sold oak hardwood floors! Our neighbors had hired them to do their floors and I was off work that week doing some other work on my house and was able to watch them come and go while my neighbors were on vacation. Once my neighbors returned they showed us the work and I was sold on Gingerich Hardwood Flooring. I gave them a call and Marcus Gingerich came out gave me an estimate that was in line with others I had received. I had some special hexagon tile installed at my front and rear entries that was going to be installed a few days prior to Marcus installing the wood floors (installed by me). Marcus kept saying it would be no problem to install around the tile (some of the wood flooring was inside the tile space). We left on a 7 day vacation, left Marcus with keys to the house, and they completed all the work while we were gone. We had some trusted spies :-) check in on them a few time just so we could see the progress. Again, super glad we choose them. They do great work at a fair price and are trustworthy. What more can you expect!!

It went great. Marcus and Eric run a top notch company!!! Marcus gave us an estimate and info about the different types of wood floorings. He gave us the names of a couple of flooring suppliers that he uses locally. We went to Lanham Hardwood and found the flooring we liked and ordered it at a discounted Gingerich price. It was delivered a few days before the scheduled install. Marcus and his crew showed up removing all the old carpet and tile in the whole first floor of our house. They moved furniture with TLC. They installed the new flooring and and shoe molding and it turned out great. The whole time that the crew were there they were polite cleaned up after themselves. Since it was the whole first floor tried to make the house as livable as low impact on us as possible. They worked hard and fast to complete the job in less than the five days that they originally scheduled. Even after they completed the floor they took the time to install felt pads on the bottom of large pieces of furniture so it wouldn't scratch the floors and make them easier to move. I can't say enough good things about the Gingerich crew and management. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

The quoted price is for labor only. We were happy to find that the wood supplier they recommended charged about half the price of all local competitors so we ordered the lumber there and had it delivered and stacked inside to acclimate prior to installation. The new floors are absolutely beautiful. They trimmed around an irregularly shaped stone fireplace hearth and made smooth transitions between rooms with bordering ceramic flooring and carpet. We have many odd angles in the foyer and they handled them with ease. The crew kept dirt and dust to a minimum while they worked. They are precise with every detail and are very polite, neat and professional workers. I've had a few months to live with the floors now and I like them more every day. Every single board was laid perfectly and has adapted well to changing humidity levels between summer and winter. They carefully removed existing trim so it could be reused and allowed us to finish some new trim ourselves, so they're quite flexible if you do some work yourself to save money. I obtained six estimates and they were the least expensive, which is surprising considering the caliber of their craftsmanship. I would highly recommend Gingerich and will definitely use them again.

I chose Gingerich Hardwood Floors after receiving estimates from three companies. Marcus and Eric were recommended to me by two different people unbeknownst to each other. I called them on Thursday evening, received a call back Friday morning and had an estimate by Friday afternoon. After meeting Marcus and reviewing the estimate, I knew that they would do a great job and for a fair price. I was under the impression that it would be a couple weeks before they would be able to do the job, however, they were able to start the job the following Wednesday and completed the job within 3 days. Day one...sanding and stain. Day two...two coats of polyurethane applied. Day three....final coat of polyurethane applied and new shoe molding installed. I couldn't be happier with the way the floors turned out. We had several areas with dark staining and lots of wear and tear. Aside from gapping that still remains (nothing you can do about that), our floors look brand new. We chose a darker stain (Ebony) in hopes that the stains would be disguised and it worked. The stains are unrecognizable. Marcus, Eric and their crew were always prompt, worked efficiently, were always mindful of the mess created and took measures to contain the mess...they left our house exactly the way we left it. But the number one thing that sticks out to me was communication. It is so far outside of the norm to have prompt communication when having work like this done but that was never an issue with these guys. If I sent a text asking a question, they were always quick to reply. That is so refreshing and goes a long way with me. I would highly recommend using Gingerich Hardwood Floors to anyone looking for honest, hard working guys who are great at what they do. I am very impressed with the job they completed for us.

I can't say enough about Marcus and his crew. We originally had another contractor scheduled to install the hardwood flooring on Monday morning. I had the hardwood flooring in the garage. When it came time to install the contractor told me that the hardwood needed to be in the house for a minimum of 3 days to acclimate and he would not install it. I do understand this but I was a little upset because nobody including Panel Town where we bought it from told us this. We already had the house torn apart waiting for the hardwood to be installed. The contractor said it would be at least a week before he could get back to it. We couldn't wait. We called Marcus and told him the situation and he was out Friday to install the Hardwood. They did a great job and was very pleased with the work. I would not hesitate to call him again if we needed anything else.

Marcus is a young guy, but an absolute pro. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this company to a friend, or client. I interviewed 5 companies from Angie's List re: refinishing of hardwood floors, and selected Gingerich based upon a gut feeling after talking to Marcus. He was very direct, honest, professional and didn't waste my time with a lot of sales jargon nonsense. Gingerich came in the lowest cost, and quickest delivery of service - from start to finish. Other companies quoted me two weeks to get everything done. Gingerich finished in a week. There was some dust, but nowhere near the mess that I expected. They cleaned up after themselves. Moved all furniture, and moved things back. Very responsive to any and all of my questions. Overall, they did an excellent job, and I will absolutely use them again in the future if I need hardwood floors done again.

Marcus was great. i felt very comfortable with him -- he was very open and honest about cost, what he could do and what needed to be done. His crew (at times 5 people!) was very efficient, started early and finished on time as promised. i estimated 15% more wood than was needed for the installation but was able to return that! The final price was nearly exactly what he had initially estimated. I still marvel how well the floors look compared to before and everyone has asked who did the floors.

The work they did was very good! They were prompt, and they explained what they were going to do and when it was going to be done. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

We recently had new hardwood installed in our dining room. The hardwood installer we used did not do hardwood finishing; therefore, we contacted Gingerich Hardwood Floors upon the recommendation of the builder who originally built our home. Gingerich Hardwood Floors is a family-owned business and the brothers who own the company have years of experience and perform the work themselves along with other talented family members. Hardwood floor work needs to be done by knowledgeable and talented craftsmen and these guys are definitely that. We had approximately 600 square feet of area, existing and new, along with some stair treads and risers sanded and finished over a period of five days (one full day of sanding and then staining and urethane protection over the next four days). The sanding job was top notch with at least four passes over the wood. The staining job was all done by hand and cloth with an extremely even tone over the entire area (i.e. no dark stripes or blotches); and, the urethane protection was applied mulitple times and buffed smooth before the final coat. The resulting job done by these guys is outstanding.
