 + -1 moreThe service call was excellent and was performed by Russ Corey. I was using a Big Deal coupon to have a tune-up done on a double and single car garage door. Prior to performing the tune-up, Russ indicated that part of the spring on the double car door was broken and he had the parts on hand to correct the problem. Russ replaced both springs and continued to perform the tune-up on both doors. Russ was very efficient and cleaned up after all work was completed. Since I had work done on one of the the doors, Russ gave a credit back for the cost of the Big Deal coupon. An unexpected savings. It was a pleasure doing business with Expert Garage Doors and I plan to use them for future garage door related work.

 + -1 moreRuss, the tech who did the tune up, was prompt (actually he was early), professional and courteous. The tune-up and inspection went very smooth. Russ was able to answer all of my questions regarding the garage door and opener (didn't know much about the system after buying the house in November 2009). He checked the garage door, the door spring, the garage door opener and the drive chain and then lubricated all the moving door parts as well as the door opener and drive chain, adjusted the drive chain tension and tested the system for safety. I now have a better understanding of the opener system that came with the house and when I may need to replace some of the system components. The tune-up and inspection took about 1 hour, plus or minus.
Description of Work: This was an Angie's List Big Deal Offer for garage door tune-up and 21 point safety inspection.

 + -1 moreI had really good service from them. I would rate them pretty high. I thought they were really good. I don't know if it was anything they did, but one of the car remotes wasn't working after they did the maintenance. The guy came back and programmed it and didn't charge extra so I thought that was really good. It was just one person and he was the owner or co-owner and he was really good. He did a good job with what he was doing. He did go a little bit extra for the panel. I don't really know what the other companies would have charged me for, but I thought he was reasonable. I would recommend him and use him again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Expert Garage Doors in January for garage door maintenance. They just tightened up some bolts and things on the door, lubed up things associated with the door. The extra thing they did was the motor control panel on the garage door as the other one was pretty much dead.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's list Big Deal to get my garage doors tuned up for 54.00. I contacted the company on the weekend to schedule and was surprised to hear back on the weekend. Very nice and prompt customer service. They showed up on time and were very thorough with their work. Russ, the owner actually worked on our garage doors and openers. He cleaned the photo eyes, lubricated the doors/openers, performed the tune-up, reattached the wall control, and tested the units. The difference between the before and after was amazing. The doors were so quiet and operated so smoothly. I learned a lot and Russ was very willing to share information with me on how to keep the doors in good shape. I will definitely have them come back for a tune up again and will contact them should anything go wrong. Russ asked if I wanted a keyless entry, Cost was $49 installed. We discussed it and realized it would be beneficial for us so we had Russ install it. We are happy we did and we are still amazed at how quiet the garage doors operate. Garage doors need some attention but I never really thought about them and learned a couple of things I can take care of myself from Russ.

Description of Work: We responded to an Angie's List on-line offer for a Garage Door tune up. We had the springs replaced several years ago by a different company and I wondered if they weren't wound too tight. The service man arrived, looked over the door then started his tune-up. He was professional, neat and did a good job. He checked all the parts, lubricated the rollers and found the cable on one side wasn't tracking in the pulley right. He corrected the cable issue and gave me an assessment of the door and operator.

They found a couple more problems so it wasn?t totally unexpected. The guy who came was really good and really thorough; he did a great job. I would use them again.

The fixed the problems quickly, explained to us in detail additional problems that they found (it turned out that two doors had initially been installed incorrectly, without sufficient support, and that one door was beginning to buckle in the middle as a result), and fixed them promptly. They were very careful to show us exactly what was wrong and why before providing exact cost information on the work that was above and beyond the original work for which we had scheduled their trip, so that we did not feel taken advantage of. Also, they taught us about some on-going maintenance we could do for ourselves to save future costs. Of additional note was their responsiveness at their scheduling office. They were very quick to answer multiple emails, explain our appointment and service requests in detail, and provide other useful information. Great work, great service, great attitude - it was very much worth the time and money. I would definitely work with them again.
Description of Work: Expert Garage Doors came to us to do a tune-up on a problematic garage door (we have two - the other one was fine - we thought), and also to examine a couple of electrical issues with the same door (the overhead light wouldn't come on, the door was constantly opening by itself, etc.) They tuned up the problem door, fixed the overhead light problem, fixed the problem with the door opening by itself, replaced the "eyes" of the door, and added missing support structures to two doors.

 + -1 moreWell we scheduled a date and time 10-12pm. The person called me to tell me that he is on his way. He was on time and he was a every nice gentleman. I asked him if he can fix my key pad too. The gentleman finished the work and what I asked him to do he do :) and he even show me how to chg the code to the key pad ( I'm glad cuase I tryed before and I wasn't doing it right) So overall he did a great job. Thank You!!
