Expert Garage Doors

I found the company on Angie's List, and emailed them on 12/4. I had a response the next morning which included a general estimate. I called the number to set up a date for service. They were able to come out and do the work on 12/7, which fit my schedule. They applied a $10 discount for using Angie's List. The phone contact was extremely polite and friendly. The repair man, Rusty, arrived when he said he would on 12/7, and was very professional. He went right to work and completed the repair in about an hour. The price was reasonable, and he performed general maintenance at no extra cost.

He was an extremely nice person and did a great job. My dog was out in the garage with me at the time and he was really good with him, which I appreciated. He was also very prompt.

Expert Garage Doors were great to work with - the specialist came to our house right on time, did a good job of examining and assessing our garage door (needed some realignment and a few other tweaks), and quickly fixed it. The door was soon operating much more smoothly and quietly. He pointed out a few things to be aware of in the future which might need tune-ups or repairs down the line, but wasn't pushy for an upsell, which was nice. I would certainly use them again!

Technician arrived ontime and did a fantastic job. Made adjustments to my garage door which was not working properly and it now runs properly and more quietly. The tech did point out some signs of wear that would eventually lead to a failure. Recommended replacing but I am going to let it run until it dies. Fantastic service. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again.

I wanted a garage door keypad so I could get into my house if I forgot my front door key. I saw the Angie's List Big Deal and bought it. Soon after, I called Expert Garage Doors and set up an appointment. They showed up on time. They installed my door opener keypad and also lubricated my garage door. He made sure that I knew how to use my keypad and helped me program in my code. Overall, the service was good and I would use them again.

Older garage door became entangled with garden hose as it was closing and opener continued to run due to obstruction. Door was resting on nozzle of hose and would not open or close. Expert Garage Doors, Angela, was able to help over the phone with several options for opening the door so that I could get the car out of the garage. A time was scheduled for them to come out and evaluate the situation and fix the problem. Russ arrived on time, was polite and explained the procedure for determining what was wrong. He was able to fix the opener and also informed me of safety features that were not in place. I will contact them after the holidays to put in a new opener with the necessary "safety reverse" and keypad. Russ quoted an estimate for the new garage door opener and cleaned up the work area.

No problems at all- very professional, polite, arrived on time, finished quickly. I love having the garage keypad- now our kids can let themselves into the house via code instead of having to use a key. They did routine maintenance on the garage door- it is much quieter than before. They didn't find any problems with the garage door so they were in and out pretty quickly. I felt like this was an honest company that didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need or suggest any additional repairs. Did just what the big deal described and I thought $99 was a great price. Would definitely use again.

The owner of the business was the one who came to do the work. He arrived within the stated time window and told me the work would take about one hour, 30 minutes. This was almost exactly the time it took him to do the work. He removed the old unit and installed the new opener along with the control panel and outside keypad. He tightened up each of the hinges on the garage door and lubricated the tracks, wheels, and spring along with all of the hinges. He then tested the opener for functionality and taught me how to use the control panel and keypad feature including programming it. Everything worked perfectly and the new unit is much nicer than the 40 year old unit it replaced.

I phoned Expert Garage Door to assess why our Liftmaster garage door opener stopped working. Upon evaluating the opener, Expert Garage Door informed me that the Liftmaster's computer component had burned out and a new garage door opener unit would be needed. Total cost would be around $600.00 for installation, the repair of two brackets, plus some maintenance. I paid $69.00 for this initial service call. Finding it hard to believe that a newer garage door opener could suddenly need replacing, I phoned Shamrock Overhead Door. Shamrock quickly identified that some new trim work recently installed around the garage doors was causing interference during the opening process. In addition, there as a short in the electrical wiring so the Liftmaster unit was not functioning correctly. Shamrock rewired our unit, helped remove the trim work , replaced two brackets and did an over maintenance service on our garage door system for $100.00. How great is that...to have someone be so good and so wonderful in price. Thanks to Shamrock, we saved $500.00 and the garage doors work great! Unfortunately, in this situation Expect Garage Door got it wrong. Listening to them would of cost me money I didn't need to spend. Too bad I'm out the $69.00 service call but I'm so glad I got a second opinion.

Expert Garage Doors did a great job. I would hire them again for any garage door problems.

I had manually lifted my garage door during a power outage and it got stuck. I had dealt with them before and they did a good job. I called and they came out. The repair was relatively quick and they took care of it. Good work at a fair price..

The original service was for maintenace but when inspected, it was reveiled that the springs, were no longer connected to the garage doors. I had not seen them connected since I had the garage door openers replaced about ten years ago. Due to the time required to do replacement verses repain, only one door was fixed at the first vist. THe second door was repaied the following week.

Went very well. He called within 24hrs of accepting one of the Angie's List offers and we set up a date that met both our schedules. He was thorough, efficient and worked quickly.

Everything went fine. I was initially impressed with the way Angela helped me, answered my questions, and then got back to me when she said she would. The installer, Russ, was knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful. I would use them again.

I always get good service from them. They are prompt and professional. They come on time and do what they say they are going to do at the price they quoted. I will continue to use them.

I called Expert after a neighbor recommended them. They were so great over the phone explaining the service and they were out 2 days later. Russ came within the time window they gave me, checked everything out and installed a new keypad. Our garage doors are over 15 years years old so he made a couple of recommendations of things we can do in the future. Our doors are so much quieter and the keypad is great!!! We would HIGHLY recommend these guys!

I used an Angie's List Deal which was very reasonable. I made an appointment and the woman who helped me was very accommodating. The gentleman that came to perform the service was on time, very professional and took me step by step through the process of tuning the garage door. He shared the importance of getting the garage door serviced annually, and left a sticker on my garage wall (that I permitted) which reminded me of when another tune up should take place. It also had the company's phone number so I could call if I needed anything. The woman on the phone mentioned that they follow up and remind customers when their garage doors should be serviced, which is a nice value add in my opinion. Overall I was very pleased.

They arrived right on time, very professional, performed and did everything on the Angie’s list big deal. I went for then they suggested other services which they did for reasonable cost and efficiently.
